Stress and anxiety certainly can cause GI symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, and even vomiting. You say this has been going on for 5 years, can you elaborate a bit as to what is exactly happening? How often you're vomiting? When it happens? Have you seen your doc to rule out a medical cause? Have you ever sought professional help for your anxiety?

Ok & thanks for both your comments. It looks as though I've been vindicated as the following day my wife got ill and was nauseous all day & sleeping. I hate to say it & I DO luv her, but after all her comments about anxiety I was never so happy to see someone not feeling well. 7-up & saltines today & we're both feeling quite a bit better & again I had no anxiety whatsoever before OR after throwing up [LOL!!

Gizmo I just wanted to say I tapered from 200mgs. I can't give taper advice on here but you can taper slower than taking it to 1/2 of a pill. You can cut the 1/2 pill. Anyway PM me if you would like. I tapered successfully and I had EXTREME fatique, RLS,anxiety, hot and cold sweats and chills, and depression, I did not vomit at all, so I can't comment on that.

I went to get tested yesterday, my doctor said she wouldnt have suggested it but she would do it just for my anxiety. She said the symptoms I am noticing are both from anxiety (from guilt) and normal parts of my body i just never noticed before I examined myself so closely in fear. Alcohol is poison at worst, and a serious depressant at least. It is also cardio-toxic and causes damage to the throat and stomach lining especially when you are doing shots or swallowing anything in its straight-up form. Vomiting makes that worse because now as the alcohol passes the throat again it is mixed with powerful acids from the stomach. Not good on many levels as you can see.

My husband has been in & out of the ER 15 times in the past 6 mos. with the same symptoms...which the dr's have no idea what is wrong with him...they keep coming to the conclusion of anxiety. Is it possible that i think so much about my symptoms that they might be in my head? lor could anxiety be causing this? what should i do? i think i might go back to my doctor and as for a CT scan to make sure i dont have any brain tumors.

This morning I woke very suddenly and immediately felt great discomfort almost as if I had the flu. After using the bathroom, no vomiting, I laid in bed and felt tremors in my entire body even though it isn't cold in my home. The tremors subsided and even though I was extremely tired I couldn't fall back asleep. I got out of bed and paced around and took anti vert for subsequent dizziness.

No your not a freak,I myself get all kinds of symptoms from anxiety .For instance dizziness, aches and pains .Anxiety seems to cause all kinds of things.Once you get the anxiety under control you will notice that you feel better physically.Talk therapy works good. Hope this helps , good luck.

Hi, as tension headache is related with stress, could be due to anxiety, anti anxiety medications like alprazolam, clonazepam are helpful but they should not be kaken on regular basis as they are addicting.
