Common Questions and Answers about Anxiety symptoms glands

anxiety

My most felt symptom was a confirmed swollen gland in the neck. If you research swollen glands on the internet, HIV comes up often. Soon I began "feeling" like I had swollen glands in the armpits and groin. Its like a stinging feeling I get off and on, I can't feel any large bump? I tested negative at 9 weeks and my doctor said it is likely just anxiety. But when I research anxiety on the internet I see nothing about feeling swollen or inflammed glands?
While I feel many anxiety symptoms physically, I cannot relate to the emotional component. I do not get any of the anxiety related emotions such as fear, panic, feeling like I'm going to die...anything, I do however get the physical symptoms such as dizzziness, tightness in my head, rapid heart beat and a feeling of tingling in my head and face. I have just returned from yet another appointment with a new doctor, who is finally listening to me.

While I do not want to add to your anxiety, I must tell you that the symptoms that you mention are not anxiety symptoms. Anxiety feels like feeling shaky on the inside, feeling scared all the time but having no reason to feel it. Rapid heartbeat, sweaty palms, feeling that you are "losing it".(your mind) Feeling unreal, extremely anxious.
The odds of very, very much in your favor that this is not HIV but some other, community acquired viral illness or perhaps, at least in part, anxiety related (anxiety does not cause sore throats but the diarrhea could certainly be due to anxiety, as could your headache. You note that your partner is heterosexual and does not use IV drugs. This makes the risk of him being HIV infected less than 1 in 10,000.

Regular doctors will say these aren't symptoms and that it is in your head. Not saying you have lyme...but anxiety is a common symptom. I've met people who've been told they've had ALS, Anxiety, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue for 10 years when it was really lyme. They got well once going to an LLMD and getting proper, agressive treatment. Check out the documentary Under Our Skin (google it). There are also clips on youtube. You can probably rent from your local library.

I think the change in your blood pressure may have more to do with your COPD situation. If you cannot breathe well for whatever reason, it'll cause the body to struggle and that will raise the heart rate. Also, while a blood pressure reading of 140s/70 isn't all that bad, if it consistently stays at that 140 number, since 115-120 is ideal, could be you'll need to take medicine for hypertension, particularly since you've already had a stroke.
could the whole mind playing tricks on you relate to other stds and mysteriously have symptoms show up such as swollen glands?
I have read this a few places. Anyone know how I would know if my thyroid disease is caused my adrenal gland problem. What symptoms woudl I have & how could I help or prevent it getting worse myself. I get a lot of panic attacks since having thyroid disease. The slightest little fear of excited (that would normally never affect me) cause a panic attack...its so weird. My theory is I am producing too much adrenaline when I dont really need to.
It doesn't mean you have HIV...swollen glands associated with HIV are not painful. You should still get tested.
Particularly, I'm interested to know more about possible symptoms suffered if the Thymus did not work properly. I am having various symptoms which my GP is looking into as possible M.E., Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, amongst other things.

- Swollen armpit glands (not individual nodes, but a general swollen feeling) for 4 weeks, starting 23 days post exposure. Is this the normal timeline for acture HIV symptoms, and is this a common one? - Could this be related to another STD anyones aware of? - Does the Oraquick (gum swab) test provide the 80-85% accuracy at 4 weeks some people seem to be claiming, or does this figure only apply to blood tests?

I have been having extreme anxiety because of a swollen submandibular gland after a low risk exposure. It is definitely swollen (not my imagination) and goes up and down throughout the day, sometimes it's slightly painful. I've had 2 courses of different antibiotics with no change. All I can do is cry and scour the internet trying to find some information. I've read on reputable sites that submandibular swelling is a common symptom of acute HIV infection.

I looked up the symptoms online and I think I have swollen glands under my jaw but then again, I was so scared I checked for symptoms that I was poking around my neck to feel them. For two days my neck was throbbing and I felt some lumps. Could poking around actually do that? Three weeks after my husband admitted to cheating, I had an OB appointment and after bringing it to his attention, he tested me for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Both tests came back negative.
I think it was just anxiety I have the same fear and when I think about it my anxiety level goes through the roof I don't have suicidal thoughts but I could see how they can manifest when were in that state of mind. Control over them and our minds and some meds help me get through the day and I haven't had a full blown panic attack in over a week. I came close today though but I think that was brought on by the cup of coffee I drank this morning.
SYMPTOMS about 4 or 5 weeks from the encounter I noticed swollen glands in my neck which lasted 4 days, with no other symptoms other than the start of my hayfever season. I've had a yeast infection twice (i'm uncircumsized, which increases my risks right?) and I also think I have candida at this point (it's been 4 months since the incident). I've only had a yeast infection once before when I was 18.
