Avatar f tn I have been having drowsiness since past 4 months, sometimes with and without nausea. I have got my MRI of the brain, certain blood tests which were normal. one of the doctors diagnosed is as muscle spasm but i am so confused whats going on. please help me! Thanks!
Avatar n tn break out in hives all over my chest, back and neck followed by 2. Panic and anxiety, frequently with nausea then, 3. Fatigue and drowsiness regardless of the amount of sleep I get. I'm on 100 mcg of syntroid, my TSH is a little over 2. My antibodies were in the thousands on my last blood test. I have a goiter that doesn't interfere with breathing but does seem to go up and down in size. I work with the public and have to *think* for my job and I cannot function like this.
Avatar n tn Coffee will just aggravate anxiety. All these drugs can cause drowsiness. Lexapro also makes me tired. Usually it goes away with time, or it doesn't, or it turns into insomnia or it doesn't. Drugs are weird. You can try taking adaptogens such as eleuthero and ashwagandha -- they will help energize you as well as help your body adapt to stress. Spirulina or wheat grass are very high in B12 and chlorophyll, and might give you more energy as well without the nervousness of caffeine.
Avatar m tn Although this is probably another transient thought resulting from a wave of depression, I feel hopeless. I feel like I need medication to help my bipolar depression and anxiety. But with my highly involved academic and artistic activities, I can't do that to myself. I feel that I must either suffer this way or ruin/zombify myself with cognitively and emotionally dulling medication.
Avatar m tn I have also had problems with extreme fatigue and drowsiness. I had started taking benzos last year, and I think a lot of the ongoing residual anxiety was benzo withdrawal. Anyway, I'm doing a lot better with the withdrawal this time around, and I'm down to half a mg of diazepam a day. Still getting anxiety when I first wake up, but it is manageable. However, I am having a enormous flare-up of fatigue. I am sleeping well, but I just cannot seem to wake up properly at all.
Avatar f tn s cabinet, because your body recognizes these herbs. The best part is you can find stress relief without the drowsiness, lethargy, numbness, weight gain, brain "spasms" and every other symptom that prescription psychotics bring on. I can honestly tell you, after being med-free for only 6 months so far I am feeling more like myself than I have in a long time. I first tried prescription antidepressants when I was 21. You CAN get a handle on anxiety without these drugs.
Avatar m tn Been taking 30 mg for just over 5 weeks along with talk therapy. My anxiety has decreased significantly as I'm back to work and maybe 65-75%% of my old self. I've tried taking at night and in the morning to combat fatigue but just seem to get extremely drowsy at times. I also have the slight nervous feeling in my stomach a good bit of the time.....good bit of yawning as well.
Avatar f tn Sorry to disagree, but most people with anxiety attacks do worse with alcohol, as it produces more disorientation. And poppy seed tea, which poppy seeds are you talking about? California poppy is the only legal tea, and those aren't addictive at all, they're a relatively mild relaxant though they can produce drowsiness. Opium poppies are illegal, but the tea traditionally used is also not addictive and is also rather mild.
Avatar n tn My daughter is currently taking a combination of depakote, lamictal, and abilify for a mood disorder. However, her doctor feels the overwhelming problem with her is an anxiety disorder that is not being addressed by the current meds. The doctor wants to ween her off the lamictal completely and start her on klonopin wafers. I am concerned about the "drowsiness" side effects. Do these eventually go away?
Avatar m tn I have been a chronic addict of Ritalin(Methyl phenidate), since 2003 till 2009, in june 2009 i stopped abruptly taking ritalin due to anxiety attacks, now i am using ESCITALOPRAM 20mg daily on prescription of a psychiatrist but i feel drowsy all the time and i cant study, i cant concentrate. kindly guide me so that i can concentrate on my studies. and decrease my sleep time which is nowadays 10-12hours. i am 24 years old. I also tried FLUOXETINE 20mg OD but same problem of drowsiness was there.
Avatar m tn s recommendation that you look into a med adjustment to help better combat the morning anxiety. I think if you could decrease the level of anxiety you have in the morning, you would notice a significant improvement in the fatigue. Best of luck!!
Avatar f tn You could try CounterAct Allergy med. It's about $5.00 Cheaper than Claritin and will provide 24 hour relief without drowsiness.
Avatar n tn t be able to make it through the day without falling asleep or falling down! I almost think I was better off without it. Has anyone out there been on Remeron and if so, how long do these side effects last.
Avatar f tn I discontinued taking 50mg of Hydroxyzine per dose with Excedrin (Aspirin, Acetaminophen and Caffeine) because I found that it actually increased both the likelihood and the effects of panic attacks. However, after reading up on the numerous reviews of this medication I've found that it's highly unlikely that it's the Hydroxyzine at fault as it's only reported contraindications appear to be drowsiness.
Avatar f tn I had talked to my doctor who recommended melatonin but it only seems to make me tired before bed and when I wake up.
1442059 tn?1340240952 s way addictive and causes lethargy and fatigue even without extended use. The clonazepam is also addictive but very good for relief from anxiety. Using it before bed should aid in helping you sleep. Prednisone will jack anybody up and I'm sure know to slowly decrease the dosage. Just because the black box warning on the treatment drugs say you may experience suicidal tendencies doesn't mean it happens to everyone.
Avatar f tn I have this problem since last year but last year it was due to my my allergy nose. Now my nose is cleared but i am still having this problem, i am feeling totally breathless, and whenever i felt breathless I'll ve terrible headache and drowsiness. I need to breath really hard but still i don't get enough air. I seen a doc again describing my headache too, he suggest that i might having migraine.
Avatar f tn Hi, I've dealt with anxiety and panic attacks for years now but recently I've had the physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing and chest pains even when I wasnt having a panic attack. I dont take any medications because I dont want to be put on anti-depressants or other heavy medications that alter my mood, etc-I'd like to treat this natually if I could. Does anyone suffer the physical symptoms without having a panic attack? And what can I do to make them go away?
