anxiety medication list

Hi anyone taking anxiety medication & trying to conceive? I am trying to conceive & am dealing with my anxiety issue at the same time. I am thinking if I should see a psychiatrist for help. I will appreciate it if you could share with me if you are suffering from any side effect from anxiety medication or not. Thanks.

Anyways sometimes when I have anxiety i just think... Nope! I have wasted to much of my life with this anxiety!! Everytime I have anxiety I end up being fine a little later so why waste my time right now with it? Sometimes it actually helps. Anyways. Late 2013 I finally found a great doctor and the right meds. best of luck to all of you.

I have ocd, gad, and moderate depression (all have been formally diagnosed). A week ago my psychiatrist stopped my 200 mgs of zoloft and started me on luvox 50 mgs a day for the first two weeks then 100 mgs a day there after. A couple days later I started expiriencing major withdrawal symptoms, severe anxiety and panic (more so than usual), insomnia, and some slight agoraphobia (I don't like to leave the house, but I will if I need too) and even stronger ocd symptoms.

Is it possible to be on too much thryroid medication and if so what symtoms would a person have? Just wondering?

m not sure whether the anxiety is anxiety disorder or caused by the medication. I know some medications can cause nervousness or phobia on occassion. Abilify and Zyprexa did that to me but that's not that common but within the realm of possibilities. If it happenned before treatment though it could just be anxiety disorder.

I wa just wondering if anybody has managed to combat their anxiety without medication. I ask because I experience symtpoms everyday but my mom won't let me take the xanax that my doctor prescribed for me. I really want to stop feeling horrible all the time so i was wondering if anybody had any success with any thing else besides medication.

Hi there. Well, if you can come up with that pill, you'll be a millionaire! LOL But there IS medication that you can take once a day at least. Today's antidepressants prescribed for anxiety are effective and really not too bad for side effects. most of the side effects happen in the beginning and then they peter out.

9 months of this hell I think I experience everything that anxiety can really offer got the buzzing in my ears now anyway I'm waiting on therapy that's due in feb my doc as got me a support worker cause that's how bad I really am with it my gf is expecting my kid in feb so was hoping I can get rid of this before the baby is born but dosent look good

That's a tough question since many drugs can have many different side effects on people. Some more common and some less common. While this might be caused by the Pristiq there's no way to know for sure. You could always call the pharmacist and ask if That's one of the side effects of the drug, but even if it's not listed under the drugs side effects list in the pharmacists directory doesn't mean it's not possibly.

My therapist recently suggested the idea of going on some medication for my anxiety. Thats something I have thought of for a while but am nervous to go forward with. I am nervous about the side effects that come along with the medications. I am looking to hear some other people's experiences with medication and what the pros and cons are.

t know about your area but doctors ads here list conditions they treat. Anxiety and depression are on almost all of the lists. Greenlydia is right about the pharmacist. They can actually call the doctor for approval on the refill. They may have better luck. Good luck. I'm sure things will work out.

I have a anxiety disorder that has kept me very concerned about medication. Reading up on the treatment options for ms has me concerned as well. I understand these medications are proven beneficial but the stuff I've been reading about the jc virus and pml has me very sceptical... Do all medications to help rrms have that possible side effect?

lFor several years I was treated for bipolar with lithium, clonipin, and one antipsycotic after another. I live in a very small area and our county mental health dept. shut down. When I went to our community clinic they took me off of lithium because I was losing my hair and the clonipin because it COULD be misused. and put on serequel which I was told would help all my symptoms. It did not. Now I can't drive, hell I can't even leave my house.

Does anyone know a drug that works well with Pexeva and Lithium? My biggest problems are racing thoughts and anxiety when I am off of the Seroquel. Help!

If you have to take it, you just do. And one in four Americans takes antidepressants for either anxiety or depression or both. You'd be in good company. I have low anxiety. It can get worse at different times that are cyclic so it is tied to my hormones we've determined. I do not take any medication.

t think twice about taking medication for it, and anxiety in no different. But I do think you should start therapy to help you with this. With being so young you may be able to beat this with therapy alone and no medication. But do what is needed to get better, you have a whole lifetime ahead of you. I've been taking amplodipine / norvasc 10 mg (antihypertensive) for about a year and a half now and montelukast / singulair 10 mg (leukotriene modifier) for shorter periods (2 months, march - may 2008 and 2 months this year, started in early may and still on it). Last month, after having been on fluoxetine / prozac for about 1 year, I showed some deterioration (more depressive symptoms, more anxiety / panic attacks).

Right now I feel I can manage my anxiety without taking anything extra. When my anxiety becomes bothersome I drink Kava tea and take a hot bath. When I was suffering from debilitating panic disorder years ago, I took the lorezapam once or twice a day until the Paxil kicked in. My panic attacks this time around were benign compared to those of years ago. The 12.5mg of PaxilCR has done wonders for me.

So before I was pregnant I had extreme anxiety, and was on and off medication. Didnt really like the effects - I was either a mindless zombie, or super nice and happy. And for the first 2 trimesters my anxiety had been pretty low. But, now I'm 35 weeks and the anxiety is so bad. Also my psychiatrist told me alot of people who suffer from anxiety/depression will think the medication is making them worse because the are already struggling with anxiety/depression. However, some medications just don't work for people, or cause side effects such as fatigue. I was on lexapro 10mg for a year, then stopped, and started to take it again for a little over a month and it no longer worked for my anxiety. So I slowly weaned off the lexapro and switched to cymbalta.
