There are traditional ways to treat
anxiety and depression and not always
medication involved. Therapy is really great, CBT, to help learn to face issues and have appropriate coping skills. Self soothing techniques help. Exercise is a mood stabilizer. Meditation, hypnosis, etc. When medication is also used that is traditional medication, it doesn't have the residual affect of being high. I don't judge. It's not about that. It's just a more complicated lifestyle.
