Im on medication for depression and anxiety. Also occasionally I have a sedative in case I go bizzercerz. Would that hurt my child more than stress would?
There are defintely paths you can take that do not require medication if that is what you choose. Many people decide not to take any forms of medications and that is ok; taking medications is a personal decision that must be weighed with benefits and risks in mind with your health care provider, however, I believe that the most important step in confronting your anxiety is to seek counseling with a qualified therapist.
Xanex isnt safe to just abrumptly stop, but isnt safe to take while pregnant. There are safe alternatives to take while pregnant. I cant remember the name of the med they gave me to take instead of xanex but there are options.

If your anxiety has affected your life as severely as you say, therapy would be advisable. Medications or natural remedies will only mask your symptoms, they won't fix the anxiety.

Does anyone know of any alternatives to pain medication? I'm sick of taking pills and I don't like the idea of a pump injecting me with medication. Besides physical therapy what else is there?
I wa just wondering if anybody has managed to combat their anxiety without medication. I ask because I experience symtpoms everyday but my mom won't let me take the xanax that my doctor prescribed for me. I really want to stop feeling horrible all the time so i was wondering if anybody had any success with any thing else besides medication.

But you feel the come down as well. To me it would depend on how bad you anxiety was. If it was 24/7 anxiety I would more inclined to go for klonopin. Dosed out twice a day. To cover the whole day. As it can be used for a lot longer. Talking years wise. I know they are all the same come the end of the day. Once on them for a long period of time we can't just stop taken them. But just another opinion. I would also agree with the theraphy suggestion. Big time.
Hi I have been taking a 25mg of trazadone to help with sleep but I wanna try natural remedies like valarian root or magnesium. Can I take both natural remedies?
Now, I started on Xanax because I had a lot of anxiety and stress myself. Then my doctor started me on an anti-anxiety/ anti-depressant medication in hope of taking me off the Xanax. I know you might not want to hear it, and believe me I don't like taking medication if I don't have to, but you might want to think about going on an anti-depressant that works on stress and anxiety symptoms.
As for Buspar from a lot of online research many people have had it work for anxiety, as it is just an anxiety medication and not depression. I read hundreds of good reviews on it, so research may say something but I also take weight in what actual people have to say. Spoke with my Dr about it and she agreed that it was worth a shot, and she has had many people who have done well with it.
Are you underweight or have an eating disorder? If not, ask your doctor if there's another medication that will do the same thing, without causing weight gain. If he refuses to consider anything else, you might want to look into getting a different doctor.
I should also state that before this diagnosis and before starting any anxiety medication I never had what I considered to be abnormal bowel problems. So now I have been prescribed imipramine to help with my anxiety and IBS. However, since being on imipramine for about a year my "IBS" has gotten worse. Rather then occasional bowel issues, I now have daily bowel issues generally causing me bad cramping, bloating, constipation and nausea.
Currently taking clonazepam daily for anxiety. What other meds can I discuss with my doctor which are indicated for insomnia. Ambien did absoutley nothing for me. Benadryl can sometimes have the opposite effect on me and have me tossing and turning when I take more than 50 mg.'s. Since I am already taking a benzodiazepine I don't want to take another.
I am 5 weeks along, and already having a major problem with anxiety! It is quite annoying because I get these attacks right before I go to sleep, and then they wake me up. I get so up tight over the silliest things!
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions other than warm tea/milk or a bath? Because those don't really work for me.
I feel like a terrible mother putting him on this medication but we have tried all the natural alternatives and nothing has worked and he is begging for help with his anxiety.

I assume your gyn was not the one prescribing the anti-anxiety medication. Hormones should kick in and help with anxiety, but definitely talk to the prescribing doc. We are not medical experts by any means, just want you to have a safe pregnancy.
If medication corrects the chest pain, there is no medical need to have angioplasty. If medication (nitrate) does not eradicate the pain, then an interventional procedure.
So nardil is a great medication for social anxiety disorder, however I'm too afraid to take it in pill form because of the dietary restrictions it imposes. I was wondering if I can get a pharmacist to convert my pill prescription into an injectable dosage so that the medication bypasses my gut.
I am presently on Celexa 60 mg a day, One of the side effects has imposed on my life.
I have little or no sex drive. I know that the pills are for my well being but now I am

Of course many do take a break through medication but if you would feel more comfortable on a medication that is taken as needed then you really should talk to your doctor about this.
The symptoms your experiencing could very well be from the medication and you may want to try an different one all together to see if it works better for you.
