1618236 tn?1408072214 I have been recently diagnosed with BPD along with Generalized Anxiety and I am currently under a psychiatrist and a psychologist care. I have been having problems with communicating with others, uncomfortable when people touch me, sensitive to criticism and rejection with extreme anxiety along with angry outbursts with my family having these symptoms continously everyday and was wondering if anyone else also has these issues.
Avatar n tn I have never taken either of them but from what I have heard and read it seems to be a good combination for pretty much all of your physical and mental problems. Avatar f tn I've never been depressed, until I got pregnant. I talkes to my doctor and there are a few things that are safe to take while pregnant. If your normal medication isn't one of those I would talk to your ob and see if maybe he could put you on something else just for now... ? I'm sorry you're going through all of that.

Avatar n tn I took it for Generalized Anxiety disorder, my mom still takes it for full blown panic attack disorder and both of us know it may help you fall asleep but it won't necessarily help you get quality sleep. Have you tried any alternatives? I understand by the way, I have depression, anxiety, PTSD, all kinds of fun stuff!
Avatar f tn Hey, I suffer with depression and anxiety disorder and I expected to be considered a 'high risk'. It is absolutely not the case. And you're not more likely to suffer with any other pregnancy related depression simply because you have a depressive disorder. Things aren't as black and white as that. I am 34 weeks and yes I've been emotional but your hormones are all over the shop during pregnancy and there are so many changes it's totally natural.
Avatar f tn What is canal? As to above, there's no being for or against medication, and nobody knows the cause of anxiety but it doesn't have anything to do with "the nerves." It has to do with neurotransmitters and hormones acting in too strong a fashion, probably from miscommunication with a part of the brain called the amygdyla. What you should do is the least invasive approach that works.
Avatar f tn I have anxiety and depression also. have you been diagnosed with any kind of mental disorder? idk but from my experience, a psychiatrist can help determine what is going on and prescribe you medication that may help. I am taking 50 mg of Zoloft (sertraline) and it has worked very well. its one of the first meds doctors prescribe because of its success rate. but not everything works for everyone. you just have to try. maybe you should try making an appointment with a psychiatrist.
Avatar n tn Depression can have many different symptoms. What affects one person will not affect another. Physical symptoms are very common with depression and anxiety - but we cannot give you a diagnosis here of course. Have you been diagnosed with depression and prescribed medication? Medication itself can give side effects like those you describe. It is difficult to tell you what is causing your sweats and chills without knowing a bit more about you.
1450085 tn?1298941702 I know a couple of people that have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and some of them do suffer from anxiety/depression. However I would not self diagnose myself if I were you. If you are not currently seeing a psychatrist I would suggest that you consider seeing one. You need to get to the bottom of what is causing your anxiety and a therapist can help you do that. You can overcome anxiety. Make sure you are eating right, getting enough sleep and exercise.
Avatar m tn Hello Joe - There ARE a lot of issues that come with puberty, certainly, but the things you have explained in your post sound more like depression and anxiety than hormonal disorder. You are not alone, that's for sure. There are many, many of us here at medhelp that have experienced the shortness of breath, fear, loss of interest in things we formerly enjoyed. Often disorders aren't just one thing or the other.
Avatar m tn I am now 24, with not psychological abnormalities what-so-ever, not even depression (certified by three different psychiatrists). My anxiety manifests itself without outside stimuli or emotional trouble. People with panic disorder and agoraphobia feel calm at home. From the moment I wake up in the morning, it feels as if I've been attached to an adrenaline IV.
Avatar f tn I have a question. I was diagnosed years ago with Generalized Anxiety Disorder with Anxiety Attacks and Agoraphobia. I had a discussion tonight with a friend who keeps saying I do it to myself. I have had this along with a diagnosis of ADD as well as Bipolar 2 and then Clinical Depression. I was wondering if Anxiety is really something that can be controlled by the mind or if it really does need to be treated with medication?
Avatar n tn Hello, I am seeing both a Psychologist and a Psychaitrist for a combination of various anxiety and depression symptoms. These include IBS, OCD, decrease sexual desire, claustrophobia etc. The major reason I seeked treatment was that I lost my job about a month ago due to an outburst and bad judgment. The doctors feel that it could be reflective of bi-polar. But I felt that the anxiety and depression symptoms should be treated first. To cut through the chase, he gave 25MG of Topamax.

Anyways I recently decided to try a pot brownie and totally flipped out. I had full on panic attack for probably an hour and thought I was going to die. Avatar f tn I struggled really bad when I was pregnant. There were a few times I had full blown sobbing panic attacks and I was convinced I was going to go into labor early and kill my baby. My daughter is now 17 months old and perfect. To be completely honest, I was in a very bad relationship and in a very bad situation. I didn't begin to feel better until I left my ex when our daughter was 5 months old. I don't know your situation but think about your life.
