Has anyone else here has anxiety/ panic disorder before getting pregnant? Were you on medication and decided to stay on it? I have been on Zoloft 50mg, and now at almost 20 weeks my anxiety is getting worse, I am having more frequent obsessive thoughts and skills learned in therapy are not always helping. I'm thinking maybe I should up my does, but I was trying to keep the does low bc I know of the possible side effects of SSRI and pregnancy.

I know this is a touchy subject for a lot of ppl but does anyone else experience this? I've always had an anxiety disorder but lately it's gotten so much worse. It feels like it's harder to breathe a d catch my breath a lot so that usually kick starts a panic attack. Any tips or tricks on how others are handling this? Home remedies? Anything helps...

I think your pregnancy and all the hormones are responsible for your anxiety. Did you previously have anxiety before your pregnancy? I myself suffer from Anxiety, panic attacks for over 4 years now and planning on starting a family but worried about my Anxiety and being pregnant/being a mother. Are you scared and worried? Maybe you should try talking to someone and take walks, it helps me calm down when I feel sick to my stomach from my Anxiety. I hope you feel better soon.

I have depression and agoriphobia (a social anxiety disorder) also. I am off all meds. It is not easy but you have to do what is best for baby. I am in a hospital therapy course right now to help. If you ask your doctor, they might be able to suggest some form of therapy to help.

Whether you have generalized anxiety or social anxiety or garden variety anxiety can only be diagnosed by a doctor.........and at the young age of 13, (even tho it's obvious you are mature for your age) your hormones are kicking into high gear and that can sometimes bring on anxiety. I would urge you to talk to your parents about these feelings and I believe a talk with your doctor is in order. You do not have to feel this way.

Its been about 6 weeks since I quit drinking and 4 days since I quit smoking. Is this an anxiety disorder or is this just classic symptoms of my body detoxing itself? i informed my doctor he said it anxiety disorder and the nurse i meet yesterday said it s also anxiety disorder.so guys is possible that anxiety could give related symptoms like that?

I have been diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder. I have been on four different medications; the first one was Lexapro, which made me extremely tired, then Cymbalta which made me extremely paranoid, a generic version of Zoloft, I can't remember the name which I gained 15 to 20 pounds before I realized it was the medicine, and the latest one is fluoxetine(? generic Prozac) which doesn't appear to be helping, I'm still anxious (crabby) so I went off that one as well.
