Avatar n tn he/she may be able to give her medicine to take just before this anxiety starts. maybe an antianxiety or even phenergan for nausea but leave that up to the doc. i get physically sick from anxiety sometimes but i take xanax and pray it away. i don't take the medicine very often but it's there when i need it. see what her doctor says the sooner the better.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with anxiety attacks and began taking medicine for them but was later taken off the medicine. I havent had an attack in months now. Im told that these new symptoms are just anxiety attacks but im not sure. Anyone have any ideas?
Avatar n tn I've currently been taking 15mg of lexapro for about 14 months. Works great for my panic/anxiety. However, the tiredness side effect hasn't gone away, instead it seems to be worse. I could seriously sleep all day long if I didn't have to work. I take my meds at night. I can barely get out of bed in the morning. I tried taking it in the morning but that didn't help.
Pig Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you that it is OK to resume your normal medications. You might really benefit from something longer acting such as one of the serotonin reuptake inhibitors--for your anxiety too--ask your doctor. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Have any moms been put on depression and/or anxiety medicine during pregnancy?

Avatar f tn Neck soreness is a very common anxiety symptom, but not the throat problem. When you say always, for how long are you talking about? If you have had a sore throat for a while, you should see your doctor. As for natural remedies, it depends on for what. You need a diagnosis to treat with natural medicine just as you do with allopathic medicine.
Avatar f tn I'm 26 weeks last night I had trouble sleeping due to anxiety attacks. Has anyone else felt this during their pregnancy?
Avatar f tn The sister drug to Citalopram is Lexapro, which I have been prescribed for depression, but only because I am on 2 mg per day of Xanax, which is the common medication for panic attacks and anxiety. Xanax is in the class of drugs known as "depressants", which obviously will make you "depressed" thus continuing the 3 ring circus of meds, one to depress you , another to fight the depression, and so on.
Avatar f tn Are there any over the counter meds that I can take daily at home for anxiety attacks. I have at least two attacks every day, but I have no insurance to go to a doctor for a prescription med.
Avatar f tn I am 9 weeks pregnant and five days and I am having really bad panick attacks and depression. I was off my medicine for alittle while. But I'm wondering if I should go back on. Are any of you mothers taking medicine to help with depression/anxiety/sleep?? I am scared to do thins but I think it's the best.
900948 tn?1242022037 i just can't stand my anxiety attacks anymore...i get them on a daily basis even without thinking about it...it has put a pause into my life...feel very abnormal...can't do the normal things a mother does with her children...sometimes the xanax doesn't even relief my attacks...when will this go away...i feel like i can't take another attack...and like i said they come daily...i try to relax myself and it doesn't seem to work...
Avatar f tn I was on Lexapro for 3 years (for panic attacks & agoraphobia) and also weaned down slowly until I was only taking 2.5 mg for a few weeks, then I quit taking it. I did NOT have any seizures - just increased anxiety, flu like symptoms and some dizziness when weaning off. Do not quit cold turkey or you will probably be very miserable. Wean off slowly. My panic attacks did come back after about a year off of Lexapro.
5528454 tn?1384292552 Id you tell your Dr he or she will give you something to help. My anxiety attacks are really bad. I am on my 6th pregnancy btw and is a very high risk one so i have alot of stress and anxiety but three pills do help. Hope you start feeling better.
280234 tn?1532986249 t work well for me. I also used to take Zoloft for anxiety, but had to stop due to weight gain. Plus, my anxiety got better and I really didn't need it anymore. I see a cardiologist every 6 months for the BP & tachycardia. I had a stressful year last year and my anxiety started to come back. Just recently I have developed panic attacks, so to speak. Whenever I get a little nervous about a situation, the nervousness can develop in to a panic attack.
Avatar f tn Klonopin doesn't really work as well on an as needed basis as other benzos, because it takes longer to act (and acts longer as well). Benzos aren't sleep medicine, they're anti-anxiety medicine. Given what you say, I'm wondering, is this a general practitioner or a psychiatrist? Because this isn't how klonopin is usually used. Using benzos as needed is better than taking them regularly, because taken regularly they are addictive and hard to stop taking.

Avatar f tn It does sound like classic anxiety and panic attacks. What's funny about anxiety is that you really have no idea when it will strike and it is usually when you feel everything is fine. It sounds like you have had everything checked out thoroughly so have you thought about asking to speak to a therapist? I know it stinks being on meds, but if you need them now, it doesn't mean you will need them forever. My anxiety started after the birth of my 2nd daughter.
Avatar f tn I had a big set back over Christmas and at that time I was taking 50 mg, but I then had talked to the Dr. about going back to 25 mg because I thought it was the medicine causing me to have worse attacks. Its a world of mess it seams. I just want to get the medicine dialed in. So when I talked to the dr this am, they said to do the 50mg for two weeks and then the 3 and 4th to up to 100mg. I just have these fears of taking medicine and dieing if you know what I mean?

88793 tn?1290227177 I would highly recommend eliminating all caffeinated beverages, they can cause not only arrhythmia's but anxiety attacks as well. I would definitely see a MD. Did you have a stress test? EKG?

Avatar f tn Hi i have been taking paxil now for about two months for anxiety, at least i think its anxiety. I started having the attacks about 3 months ago. When these attacks happen i feel like i cant function, as much as i want to i cant do anything. About two weeks after i started taking paxil i started to feel great and just a couple days ago it started back up. Im just wondering what could bring this back, and is it normal for my medicine to just stop working like that. thanks.
