Avatar n tn Your age means nothing as far as heart problems go. The reality of it is more children die from serious forms of heart disease than children who suffer from ALL forms of childhood cancers COMBINED. Having said that, if you had SERIOUS heart disease, you would have known about that years ago, so don't get upset by those statistics, I simply put that on her to educate you a little bit. Chest pain is caused by a lack of blood flow to the heart muscle walls.
Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.

My blood preesure was low, but not too dangerously low. My heart rate is back past 60 beats per minute. How long will it take for all of this medication to get out of my system? Could I have damaged anyting internally? I'm scared to go the doctor.
Avatar n tn An overdose from cocaine can cause a serious increase in blood pressure, which can cause bleeding in the brain leading to a higher possibility of a stroke. A cocaine overdose can cause heart and respiratory problems resulting in death.
Avatar n tn This means the heart becomes predisposed to a deadly condition called ventricular fibrillation. Furthermore, as the heart-rate increases past a certain point the heart cannot fill with blood and can become completely ineffective as a pump. Life is not happy without oxygenated blood being pumped. There is another problem with both weed and cocaine. The weed is commonly sprayed with powerful deadly chemicals to destroy the crops in some nations. Neurotoxins.
Avatar m tn this was due to a cocaine overdose which in reality is the same as speed/adderall etc...races the heart and can do permanent damage...he has "locked in syndrome"...he is awake and alert but can not move a muscle in his body...the family is uneducated and will not make him a dnr(do not resusitate)...he has been coded over and over,,,poor thing...
Avatar f tn peeps snort it cos it is not absorbed well orally...still...i would contact poison control or 911 if u feel any speediness, heart rate etc...i would contact poison control anyway to be safe...dont play with ur life..

10878355 tn?1425579171 A rate a bit over 100 isn't anything your heart can't handle. There may be some residual anxiety over the whole thing just keep drinking lots of water and do deep breathing. Drink caffeine in moderation or not at all and maybe just go and get a check up with your doctor making sure they check your thyroid. other than that just try and get some cardio in and it will help condition your heart a bit more. take care, you will be fine.
Avatar f tn I just want all of you out there to know that my friend took an overdose of diphenhydramine last night. He took 100 of the 25 mg pills. Within 30 minutes he had horrible halucinations, and then around 4 hours later he was violently throwing up blood and stuff. He couldn't walk well and coordination was bad. This morning he slurs when he talks. He has had a stroke. The reason he did this was because he was diagnosed with cancer. Pancreatic and lung. He was given less than 6 mos.
Avatar n tn If you had that type or WPW it is likely it would have presented before the overdose. More likely the drug overdose damaged the heart possibly causing some scar tissue that caused a bit of an AVnode block and the reason for your PACs and/or damage to a small section of your heart wall creating Afib and the more likely reason for your fast heart rate though your doctor should be the one to give you the definitive diagnosis of what you exactly have.

Avatar n tn hi guys i need to ask you about sertraline ,anxiety drug, my doctor prescribed me ayt the begining with one 25 mg tablet a day, and after 2 weeks two tablets of 25 mg (50mg ), and after that he advised me to start taking 4 tablets bring it up to 100 mg sertraline a day. i stoped this drug for 2 months and yesterday i decided to take it but the last prescription the pharmacy made each tablet 100 mg.
Avatar f tn You might need to ask your Doctor about those medications, but it sounds like a withdrawal from a binge, just like any substance if you binge for days straight and just stop your going to have to let your body go back to normal and most of the time it doesn't feel good. If you feel flu like that's normal and you should read some posts on how to ease w/d's .If your in pain or you feel something isn't right definitely call a doc.
