So, as the title of the question imposes, i have had for almost well over a year now, what seems to be a persistant nose bleed, though i'm unsure whether to call it a proper nosebleed...i just dont know.
during the night though at least twice a week it will bleed while he's sleeping and when i have to clean out his nose it's like big globs of blody boogers (gross and tmi, i know sorry!!). he breathes really loud, too. i started using a humidifier in his room nightly and it seemed to help a little but not a whole lot. the ped prescribed him an antihistamine (sp?) but i'm not sure if that should be what he needs to be using or not.
It gets better then it gets worse. Now I have uncomfortable crusts inside both nostrils, which bleed if I blow my nose. Long - distance flying makes it worse, as does high blood pressure. Recently there is some soreness and bumpiness on the bridge.Sometimes I get a whiff of something that doesn't smell very nice.Yuk My G.P. gave me "Naseptin", but it wasn't effective . I went to a specialist a few years ago, he didn't have any suggestions.I thought it was M.R.S.
Due to the fragile blood vessels in the nose, epistaxis or nose bleed can occur if there is excessive blowing of nose or trauma. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to an ENT specialist. Take care and do keep us posted.
Well mine started off with just that nose pain on like the bridge of my nose. Now, 4 1/2 days later, it still hurts really bad and is looking swollen. I also now have developed sneezing, congestion, watery eyes, and the full pressure feeling that is in my nose feels like it is spreading through my sinuses. My nose hurts so bad though! I don't understand the pain and swelling.
then around 20ish weeks my nose started to bleed, just a spot here and there and i have never had a bloody nose in my life.
Not breathing well through your nose can alter your heart rate and blood pressure, as well as to increasing your stress response. Your nose makes about 2 pints of mucous every day. If your nose isn't working properly and mucous isn't cleared, the stagnant mucous can lead to infections such as sinusitis or ear infections. Lastly, not breathing well through your nose can aggravate snoring or obstructive sleep apnea.
I work in a kitchen and I get random allergy flares that make my nose bleed. The blood does not drip, its dried blood.
I saw a little barely there blood a few days ago but tonight I blew my nose and saw a lot of blood. I've never had a nose bleed before nor do I ever get sick. My cycle was 6 days late-never happens. I have a knot in my neck that's been there for a very long time. I'm always tired/sometimes very weak. & @1pt I felt like there was something sittng in my breast-I couldn't feel it with my hand but i could something moving when my body moved.
I have had some red patches on my face that flake skin. It started out on my nose, but has since slowly spread to my chin, eyebrows, and cheeks. These patches are itchy from time to time and will bleed if i scratch them. It flares up, and then recedes back. The dermatologist said it was something that there is no treatment for (I cannot remember the exact word) but I am looking for a second opinion.
im experience the same thing.i have black/greyish mucous. I started with constant nose bleed since april 2008.turned out to be sinusitis and allergies.i got my nasal membrane burnt with silver nitrate to stop the bleeding. it took 3 months for the bleeding to disappear completely.i do nasal irrigation if my nose is completely blocked.n i had been taking antibiotics for a very long period.now im much better but i keep having running nose n sneezing all the time.
Before I found out to use Hydrocortisone creme on the internet often times it would crack and bleed. Apart from the tightness there is normally no pain involved. It seems to get acne or is an acne hotspot. Is this excema? I am 19 years old. I have found nothing that works except for the very temporary relief that comes from the hydrocortisone.
) When I was younger it wasn't as severe and I would only get cracks in my hands that would hurt at occasionally bleed. Now at 29, my fingers peel regularly every spring and throughout summer. During Winter, my hands are fine. Going swimming really accelerates / intensifies the process (lake water) and I used to think that it was from handling fish (I still avoid, I'm not sure if it makes it worse though - in winter / aquariums - all seems fine).
funny thing is that when I have all of this pressure and it lets up the day that I see the blood .not a nose bleed at all just a few clots .. I read articals online with some close connections and right away if mention anything about cancer and I panic!!!!I guess it's not a good idea to read alot of the stuff. I actually feel fine otherwise. any suggestions? OH yeah deadhead I use my little exersize ball and bounce on that for like 20 minutes a day and I get HUGE results !

Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
I have very dry skin and my knuckles usually start to bleed before the winter is over. I live in a dry, desert climate. I have never heard of family members having similar problems. My mother (takes care of elderly) is worried it could be a staph infection. I personally do not feel it's ringworm. My husband, nor anyone else that I know, have not developed similar symptoms. None of my animals seem to be having skin issues at this time.
Hi, You should take some oral antiallergic or antihistamine medications for a few days and see if it helps with your symptoms. You could consult a dermatologist and see if using a medicated shampoo or some prescribed ointment does decrease the dandruff. Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts. Hope this helps. Regards.
After one day, had posterior nose bleed and then large amount of sort of hardened yellow junk came out of my sinuses. felt GREAT, not dizzy. this lasted one day. no more fever but back to dizzy. now it is chronic.i get a headache every day, 800mg. ibuprofen helps a little.also for 3 days in a row had blind spots( first day negative scotoma, then positive areas of light) in right eye only. i have had(rarely)migraine auras without headache before but using the sparkly lights.
Nasal sprays, nasal wash, anti-histamines, steroid sprays, nothing has really made any difference, steroid sprays caused me nose bleed so i had to stop using.
I have been going through this hell with the smell and walking around feeling tired then nasueos then horrible headache then bam! ER..cant breathe! shapr knife running up my nose trhough my skull into my jawbone and what feels like superman squeezing my lungs trying to burst them!!! 5 days in the hospital and sterioids antibiotics pain killers, test after test, cat scan etc I'm able to breath..
My itch experience has so far only been on my face, 2 spots, thumb print size on my right eyelid and running up the curve of my nose, one slightly bigger next to my mouth on the left. I made the mistake when it first began, of itching so much my face swelled and swelled, I looked like i'd been someone's punching bag minus the black and blue.
I'm 27 and have never had this problem or allergies. I originally went to an ENT who took one look in my nose and throat and said "allergies". He gave me Bromafed, an older antihistamine/decongestant which made me very drowsy throughout the day even though I took it before going to bed. I went to another doctor upon returning to Chicago. He gave me Allegra and Flonase, then Zyrtec and Flonase, and I would soon add Mucinex.
I think something like Benedryl is a real antihistamine but Psuedofed (can't is pseudophedrine cant spell it either). I've found that the best medication I've ever used for a stuffy head is the Benedryl version. Benadryl for Sinus Headaches or something - the pills are green. for some reason it clears me better than the one I can't spell at all. Be happy you re getting to go away even if you have a plane.
He said there isn't much to do but maybe try an antihistamine which hasn't worked. Even though its not life-threatening, its very frustrating to live with this! Is there anything else, at all, to do to get rid of this noise?
It always starts low, around my ankles. I can scratch till my legs bleed and have trouble stopping because it feels good and relieve the horrible itching. eventually bumps appear under the surface like a rash, and even when I can see the bumps, I can feel them. The more I scratch the higher it seems to travel. The highest point is mid- calf area but usually stops there. It will go on for a couple months, maybe, and then as suddenly as it appeared, go away.
I have started with lifting weights first. Doesn't matter. I still itch until I almost bleed. I considered it to be nerves but would breathe deeply, listen to relaxing music on an ipod, and meditate on being tranquil. Didn't work. I started wondering if I have some rare dysfunction of my circulatory or nervous system. I don't believe anything topical would help. Like stacy (from this forum) says, I feel like it comes from below the skin.
Do the following breathing exercises known as Yoga Pranayam and let us know the effects. . Bhastrika - Take a long deep breath into the lungs(chest not tummy) via the nose and then completely breathe out through the nose.Upto 5 minutes daily.
Closed it. Put my head on the pillow. Couldn't stay still. Got up. Paced. Cried. Blew my nose. Peed again. Went to the kitchen and nibbled on crackers. Back to bed.........on and on and on. Sound familiar? It's horrible! During the day isn't much better, but at least you know the rest of the world is up, and it's not so depressing! I got to a point where I literally dreaded the dark, because I knew what I was in for! Vicki told me one night to stop fighting it.
