antihistamine

WASHINGTON -- The FDA has approved pegloticase (Krystexxa) for treatment of gout in adults who are refractory to standard treatments. Pegloticase is an enzyme that boosts metabolism of uric acid, breaking it down into a harmless chemical that is excreted in urine. The FDA said the drug can be administered every two weeks as an intravenous infusion. The approval was based on results from two six-month long clinical trials that enrolled a total of 212 patients.
Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. Covering the affected area with bandages and dressings can help protect the skin and prevent scratching. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding. Please take a second opinion from a dermatologist if the symptoms persist.
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Sudden onset multiple joint pain can be due MS, lupus, STD, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, viral fever, chronic fatigue syndrome, or rheumatism. It can also be reactive arthritis due to allergy to something or in reaction to an illness, fever or autoimmune disorder. In your case it is probably a reactive arthritis. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
She to has tried everything and nothing has worked . I will tell her about the antihistamine medication to see if she has tried it. Has anyone tried topical hormone cream? Estrogen or progesterone ?
I have been muscle clenching for some time now, but it has progressively worsened. It started with abdominal clenching but has now moved on to whole body. (arms and thighs and calves) Very uncomfortable to wake up to this. I also feel very tired always as this pattern of clenching wakes me up and interrupts sleep. Thanks to this forum, I will see my doctor and request having my thyroid levels looked at. I will also look into a magnesium supplement to see if that offers some relief.

its an antihistamine and will keep the swelling down. i've noticed that if you take benadryl as soon as you can this can sometimes prevent the swelling from getting worse. an epi pen isnt a bad idea either i have also noticed that when combined with a decent dose of benadryl the swelling will about 95% of the time not get any worse and i see noticable improvement within a few hrs. some docs have told me unless you cant breath theres no point in using an epi pen.
Hives begain to appear on my tailbone, buttocks, thighs, arms, backs of my hands, neck, chin, forehead and elbows about a bean size to a quarters size in diameter. This was 'self diagnosed' as Gout and I made some dietary changes and I completely stopped using Excedrin Migraine formula and the symptoms subsided. 3 months ago, I began to get a rash in my groin and thought it was jock itch.
idea I can think of is you're having still some allergic reaction and you could use some antihistamine like tylenol allergy or something like that (but of course it's a little risky if you do have an ulcer the last thing you want to do is take tylenol) so if you do it i'd take it with food for sure! That's one thing you could try.. mints sometimes helps me calm the gut or when I have like hayfever type situation..or halls medicine...try and open the sinus's.. On the candidiasis..
Point well taken, my theory would be if cell permeation is the number one hindrance (as HR has suggested many times) then an antihistamine that even eats into the silicone it's been tested on might mean its ten fold effect is because of it's ability to break through cell walls and lipid shells on the virions, probably both. For me already being UND there's less to worry about, although it is those lingerers that have half of us relasping.
They are still there today, although it's not getting much worse now (I've been taking an antihistamine, and I'm awaiting the results of a blood test). Are these normal occurences? I suspect I might be allergic to something in the beer as it digests... But, I have noticed that these weird things have only occurred when I'm drinking domestic (Canadian) beer, while imported European beers have never yet affected me like that... Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!
( BRB going to take antihistamine. Last night however no gas at all. But I felt my food digesting/cramping from right to left to right backwards and forwards for 10 hours starting from the stomach until it reached my colon. Once in the colon my small intestine settled down and the whole colon started to burn like an upside down U shape for another few hours.
I started getting this rash when I was about forty, just at my ankles but over the last 4 yeasrs has got worse, especially in hot countries, it has spread up to cover my entire legs, it feels like my legs are on fire, they go very taut, it is very painful. I get it all year long, but worse in summer. I use an antihistamine cream which really helps, takes a few hours to work but has a got effect, just left with a staining on your leg where the rash was, try it for yourself I hope it helps you.
I have had severe blocked right ear with lots of insane ringing, doctor put me on antihistamine and decongenstant, its still the same, 3days later, I cannot blow ny nows without feeling like I a going to blow my eyeballs out too, that is how bad the pressure is I would appreciate some info?
She gave me some cream for itching but its not doing anything. She also said to take an antihistamine daily, not just when its bothering me, as it will take a while for the body to build up a full dose of protection. I had this condition 7 years ago and it went away after a few months. I thought is was body lice then, but the Drs then said I would be able to see it and they didn't see anything. They prescribed Permethrin cream and I thought it worked then. But it doesn't seem to work now.
