Antihistamine for spider bites

Common Questions and Answers about Antihistamine for spider bites

antihistamine

They are itchy and painful. Not mosquito bite. Could it be spider bites. Read up on bed bugs and I don't think that is the answer either. Do you have any suggestions? Could it be baby spider bites??? This discussion is related to Insect bites on penis scrotum and leg.
the black widow spider and the brown recluse spider. The symptoms of these spider bites are usually chills, fever, nausea, severe abdominal pain or fluid-filled blister that leads to ulcer formation. Over-the-counter antihistamine medications may help with the itching. But if the symptoms persists, it would be best to have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Take care and regards.
may have been spider bites. a good idea to get it looked at the Brown recluse spider has a nasty bite if it gets infected you may need an anti biotic...
You should wash the area and keep it clean, apply calamine lotion at the site and take some oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications like loratadine or cetrizine for your symptoms. It would be best to consult a skin specialist if the rash does not resolve in a few days. You should get the relevant investigations as advised by your doctor including blood work. Let us know about what your doctor advises and if you have any other doubts. Post us about how you are doing. Regards.
They don't always burrow in right away, sometimes they travel, taking a chomp here and there...Especially near the hair line...Look for a tiny spider-like critter...Comb carefully through her hair, and examine coat collars, bedding, and pillows...and any other areas you can think of that her head may come in contact with...this sounds exactly like something my sister-in-law experienced after going camping and sitting against a tree...Hope this helps!
It all started when I'm treated for autoimmune disease due to stress and gained massive amount of weight and trouble losing it now. Let me know if you find a y solution for it. I usually take antihistamine tablets to stop the itching.
Could it be spider or flea bites? Try not to scratch....could make it worse and become infected. Benadryl cream could bring it down?
maybe one or two on a finger and I have seen bumps like this before once or twice on my arm although those itched and I was pretty sure they were spider bites. They seem to just go away over time but I am curious as to what they are. I have other skin "issues" and perhaps mild eczema so I am also wondering if it is related. Thank you.
im getting these small bumps that look like bug bites all over my body and they itch very bad ,they seem to be getting worse i sprayed bug killer in my house cause thought they were spider bites but dont seem to be what it was,,please give me some kind of clue what could be causing this,,
About 5 days ago I noticed what seemed to be two spider bites on the side of my right butt cheek. They were swollen, red and itchy; later that day, I noticed another one above them (though I wasn't sure if I had missed it before or if it had happened in the meantime). The next day they were considerably more swollen, red and itchy, and I had another rash on the front of my right thigh - they were blotchy, red, and itchy.
The bites look like mosquito or spider bites. They almost seem to be getting bigger as the days go on but that could be my own paranoia. The first bite I got is now fairly small but it is still there. I'm going insane. I don't know what is causing these and I feel dumb going to the doctor over what may just be an insect bite. I didn't find any spiders in my room when I vacuumed it either. Does anyone have any ideas or advice? I'll take anything.
PS: I've been married and faithful for a year.
but they aren't large bumps, they are many small tiny bumps that feel like spider bites, but I know they're not. What is this? How do i get rid of it? When I put lotion on, it relieves the itching for a few hours, but I have had this thing for about a week now, and it hasn't gone away.
i think you need medical care for your bites. it's impossible to diagnose what bug bit you without seeing it the wound and preferably the bug. . that is the only sure way to put your mind at ease. as for the dry skin, oatmeal baths and cetaphil cream may help. it is a very mild heavy cream moisturizer that will not leave you with that gross feeling you get from the petroleum based ointments. liquid soap is good.
I've heard suggestions that they could be spider bites but I'm not sure. I haven't changed detergents for my cloths or anything recently, so I don't think it's an allergic reaction. Also I do not wear pants that are tight on me that might cause folliculitus, so I've been left pretty much stumped with these extremely itchy red bumps.
In the summer of 2007, i began to notice little odd bumps that would appear on the front of my thighs. They are pimple like and itch only sometimes. I first thought they were spider bites. But after washing my bedding and also living in other places besides my home i still got these bumps. They only seem to appear in the summer time when it it most embarrassing when i wear shorts. I only get these bumps on my front thighs.
Hi, Glad the post was of some help to you. Have you taken any antihistamine medications for your symptoms? You could apply calamine lotion at the sites to help soothe the lesions. Let us know about how you are doing and post us if you need any further information. Regards.
Not sure of what kind of spiders you have there, but I've heard of spider bites doing this sort of thing. Please let us know what it is that they find. It may happen to others.
Apply calamine lotion at the site and take some oral antihistamine medications like loratadine or cetrizine for your complaints. Do you remember any trauma or injury to the site? Do you remember any triggering factors for your symptoms? Are you exposed to any chemicals at work? If the symptoms are still persistent after a few days, consult your dermatologist and get a proper clinical evaluation done. Let us know if you have any doubts and keep us posted on how you are doing.
Has anyone checked your back for splotches? I'm leaning towards Pityriasis Rosea. It clears up on it's own. Creams don't work on it. Definitely keep us posted!
nowadays i stopped taking claritine as too much antihistamine is nt really good for the body..whenever i get this(usually from 2am-9am),i will shower myself with cold water...and then i will go out for a walk at a -1 degree celcius environment..it seems to relieved the itch and also the patch will be gone in a few minutes time or approximately an hour..im still searching for natural remedies for hives..
Guys.... I started off tonight hoping I didnt have bed bugs....looking for pictures of spider bites....now I am terrified!! my husband thinkss Ive gone crazy imagining bug bites that are really just bruises!! Whats wrong with us?!?!! Going on two weeks spot started on upper left thigh now on upper right thigh but doesnt itch anymore.
At first I assumed they were insect bites but became a bit weirded out when they kept appearing for more than a couple of days. I've had them, going on, four weeks now. They're not that big a deal as I only get 1-3 new ones a day and by that point the ones from the previous day have stopped being itchy, and the ones from previous days have begun to disappear. Most, around 90%, of them occur on my legs and the top of my feet.
It started when he started his new job at his nursing home. He says it is bites but is it possible for him to have bites and not me? seems most of these people have the same problem with just one person but not the spouse. Now my best friend been having the same problem too but her husband doesn't seem to have problems with any bumps or itches like her.
I have been using it for about 3-4 weeks now and the little bumps on my penis head have gone away but now i have noticed an itchy bump on the side of my penis which is a bit bigger.. also there is a bump on the edge of my penis head that had peeled and gone away for a few days and re-appeared in the exact same spot which seems to have formed as a bump/scar(not as itchy)... ...i have very itchy bumps on my inner thighs and butt cheeks that seem to be getting worse.
The first time this to both feet and I passed it off to wearing new and cheap high heals for over 13 hours the day before (I teach). That day I also had some trouble with a family member who was staying with me- so I felt stress may have been a contributor? However, about 3 weeks later this happened again… and I went off to the doctor’s.
Remembering i had just finished a course of keflex i immediately googled it and came across this feed. Arghhhhh!!! I feel silly for putting up with the itch for so long thinking the bites would disappear but now i see it is a reaction or imbalance. Have just taken 4 probiotics in one night and a lot of yoghurt .. If there is a major improvement with that alone I will post and update but will also head to the chemist tomorrow morning for a cream.
I started getting hives (believe me they were awful, they would come and go but they were everyday without warning) about 7 years ago and was sent to an allergist who tested me for everything and the only thing that was positive was thyroid peroxidase antibodies, and they were very high. I have taken a prescription antihistamine for this for years (I also have seasonal allergies).
Thanks so much for all of you who wrote in about your sun rashes! The blisters are a yearly thing for me for about the past 5 years. The only things I know have changed are the following: I had shingles and was treated with a prescription that said to stay out of the sun for two years after. I did, but when I returned to being outdoors I got the rashes. I also now have fibromyalgia. I wonder if the immune system function has something to do with all this?
