It probably is at least sinus trouble if not a sinus infection. You should make a Dr. appt. ASAP in case you need antibiotics.
I started with a bloody nose maybe in middle of Feburary. I felt a little congested but not bad. By the end of Feb I broke out with the worst sinus infection in my life! I was draining everywhere. Heres how it started the day before I got sick I was eating dinner and felt as tho I got something caught in my throat. I went to the doc the following day and she said ooh its something viral. The following day I had nothing but drainage from head to ears to nose.
I have a sinus infection and I had for years. I am taking Claritan and other other the counter medicine. Could you recommend something for me. Right now I have no insurance.
I have been feeling somewhat dizzy and having headaches underneath my eyes and across the middle of my forehead, I also have had a very stuffy nose. Are these symptoms of a sinus infection or allergies?
I had sinus infection symptons earlier in the week, they are gone, but for the last three days i have felt lightheaded and feel like i cant think straight at some points. Does anyone know if this is caused by the sinus infection, should i be worried and go see a Doctor? Does anyone know what this can b and is related at all to Sinusitis?
I've had this sinus infection for over 5 months, I been on different type of antibiotics with no luck. The doctor also gave me some nasal spray which I haven't use very regularly because it doesn't seem to have any effect on my symptoms. I don't have congested or runny nose, just facial discomfort, head aches etc... I got a CT scan of my sinuses and head, and all it shows is that I have thick mucous in the left side of my face but the doctor said it shouldn't be causing this symptoms.
if that doesn't help, you probably need to see your doctor. i once had a terrible sinus infection that required two medrol packs (prednisone) to reduce the inflammation enough to clear up the infection.
From my knowledge iv never heard of someone having a sinus infection for 5 months and not being really really sick. like i can completely cope with this stuff, its just annoying. i noticed i was in a room with a humidifier and my nose seemed to clear up for the most part. iv taken claritan 24hr and it does nothing. Nasal Spray seems to work but it like wears off after a while. this is really frusterating and i wanna know some theories. im going to an ent soon too.
I have had a severe sinus infection for about 5 days, with the nausea, disorientation, fever, night sweats, headache..... but yesterday when I woke up, I had a rash across my upper arm, shoulder, upper back, quadriceps and thighs. It looks like a heat rash, but is persisting... Although I'm feeling a bit better, and my sinuses are almost cleared, I've developed a pain in my upper right teeth today as well... Is the rash possibly related to the sinus problem?
went to dr today he thinks i have sinus infection prescribed me cipro for 10 days is this good antibiotic for sinus infection?
Has anyone had terrible neck pain while having a bad sinus infection? I have had a sinus infection since August that won't go away! I have been on very strong antibiotics and steroids. My neck pain is very bad and stops me from almost doing anything around the house. The pain is at the base of my head on the right side and radiates down to my neck and shoulder and last night down my arm. I have never had pain in my neck that has lasted so long.
My first thought was- what the heck is going on- I have this bad sinus infection , on meds for that for 20 days- it never goes away- was told to take celexa- (which I took at the same time as the anti-biotic)- and then started having attacks, tingling in my fingers and toes, and then I am being sent to a pyschologists? for anxiety or panic disorder.??? I really hope you get better and I did go to chiropractor ( I have not been in a few months though)...maybe I should go back for a visit.
the blind swab or Endoscopic or sinus aspirate can be cultured to rule out secondary bacterial infection. Plain sinus films and sinus CT may show sinus fluid levels if present. Usual treatment lining consists of following steps and mentioned drugs should only be taken after consultation from physician. - Analgesics such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories and acetaminophen are recommended for inflammation relief. - Mechanical irrigation with buffered, hypertonic saline nasal spay.
My doctor prescribed me antibiotics, however this will be my third round of antibiotics because of previous sinus infection diagnoses. I am not sure if the cyst would be causing all this eye pressure and sinus pressure on both sides or if there is another explanation like a sinus infection that possibly needed stronger antibiotics? Please let me know if you have any help, I am desperate.

It sounds like you have a really bad sinus infection which may be affecting your Inner Ear. You do need to see your doctor. Antibiotics may very well clear it, Give them a try. It's no fun. I know. I had this about 20 years ago, never forgotten it! Sometimes an antihistamine can relieve the symptoms a bit. But I do think an antibiotic (prescribed) will clear it. Good luck.
I RECENTLY HAD SINUS X-RAYS AND THEY DID NOT SHOW ANY DEVIATED SEPTUM OR ANYTHING THEY JUST DIAGNOSED IT AS A SINUS INFECTION AND GAVE ME BACTRUM. THE ANTIBIOTIC CLEARED IT UP FOR ABOUT A WEEK THEN IT CAME BACK EVEN WORSE.

i am only 24 years old and i was addicted to nasal spray for about six years. i've been nasal spray free for about 1 month (i used the rhinostat method if anyone is curious). rebound congestion i no longer experience. i still have congestion that seems to switch back and forth between nostrils (but no where near as bad as what the rebound congestion was). when i lie down the congestion will be in which ever nostril i am laying on. the other one will be clear.

What's funny is that I don't have mono. I was actually tested for it a few days ago, supposedly I just have a sinus infection. But I'm dizzy all the time and I really don't feel like myself at all. I don't feel dizzy to the point where I am going to fall down, but just dizzy where I feel disoriented. I also hear cracking when I yawn in both of my ears and my right ear feels like it is clogged.
I had a cough and congestion for about 3 weeks before the doctor was able to diagnose me with a sinus infection. He gave me 875mg of Amoxicillin-twice a day for 10 days along with ZyrtecD and Mucinex. I finished the antibiotic and one of the others at the same time. Two days later, I was still coughing--post nasal drip. I had finished all the meds so I bought some more Mucinex and started that again. In another 2 days I was still had post nasal drep so I started Claritin.

Sounds like a sinus infection and you may need an antibiotic. Make sure you take probiotics if they prescribe an antibiotic for a bacterial sinus infection. Mayos clinic states that 80% of sinus infections are caused by fungus (yeast) and yeast responds to rain. My head is like a freaking barometer, lol. Probiotics might do the trick on their own.
These conditions can lead to sinus infection, ear infection and headaches. Other possibilities are laryngeal web, asthma, any structural abnormalities in the nasal passage such as nasal polyps, hypertrophied turbinates etc. Recurrent infection is sign of low immunity. You need to increase immunity by proper nutritious food, regular exercise, mental fitness etc. Vitamins, minerals, proteins will boost your immunity.
i have had my sinus problems over a year now, and also a dry cough for about 10 months that makes me gag, and about 2 weeks now i have been feeling dizzy, just went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics. i don't know what is causing the dizziness, because i heard that sinus can't cause that. can someone tell me what i should do? i hate being dizzy, and its not all the time, it can last for an hour or through the day.
