Avatar n tn I have been feeling somewhat dizzy and having headaches underneath my eyes and across the middle of my forehead, I also have had a very stuffy nose. Are these symptoms of a sinus infection or allergies?
Avatar m tn The sinus pressure was really bad, but decreased. Light sinus pressure continued for about a month or so. It is now about 6 weeks past the sinus infection and I still have slight pressure in sinuses. The only thing that has caused me to worry is eye floaters! I had a lot of eye floaters last week! I too some antihistamine and it decreased them. Then I stopped it and they increased. I did not return to the antihistamine. I still see eye floaters, however it is much better than before!
876847 tn?1240239287 Hello, Routinely vibramycin(tetracycline) is not prescribed for sinus infections as the antibiotics of choice for sinusitis are usually penicillins, macrolides, fluorquinolones or cepahalosporins. However if you want to take tetracycline antibiotics, then pls inform your PCP about it before taking it. I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.

519035 tn?1348275773 I started with a bloody nose maybe in middle of Feburary. I felt a little congested but not bad. By the end of Feb I broke out with the worst sinus infection in my life! I was draining everywhere. Heres how it started the day before I got sick I was eating dinner and felt as tho I got something caught in my throat. I went to the doc the following day and she said ooh its something viral. The following day I had nothing but drainage from head to ears to nose.

Avatar m tn Hi. Pls any doctor advise me. Ihave been sufferring from sinus problems for long time...ex are facial pressure nasl blockag wihout mucus , mucus dripping at back of throat when waking up from sleep. I had done mri year back and it showed infection in forehead and cyst on left side of face....i am taking nasacort and fexofenadine hcl for months and tried other antihistamine also, but the symtoms persist....i am a liver patient with conginetal hepatic fibrosis and 31 years....
Avatar m tn My doctor prescribed me antibiotics, however this will be my third round of antibiotics because of previous sinus infection diagnoses. I am not sure if the cyst would be causing all this eye pressure and sinus pressure on both sides or if there is another explanation like a sinus infection that possibly needed stronger antibiotics? Please let me know if you have any help, I am desperate.
674555 tn?1272600376 When sinuses become inflamed, these areas get blocked and mucus cannot drain. This lack of proper sinus drainage can lead to infection, headache, dizziness etc. Worse pain in the morning because mucus has been collecting and draining all night. Avoid indigestible, spicy, foods and meats. Eat simply of wholesome food. Obtain needed out-of-door exercise, sunbaths, and swimming. It can also be treated using an antihistamine nasal spray.
Avatar f tn I have had a severe sinus infection for about 5 days, with the nausea, disorientation, fever, night sweats, headache..... but yesterday when I woke up, I had a rash across my upper arm, shoulder, upper back, quadriceps and thighs. It looks like a heat rash, but is persisting... Although I'm feeling a bit better, and my sinuses are almost cleared, I've developed a pain in my upper right teeth today as well... Is the rash possibly related to the sinus problem?
Avatar f tn For 15 or more years, I've alwayas had what I believe to be sinus infections. Right now I am suffering from clear constant/drip runny nose, sore throat, mild cough, pain and pressure in my face and ears. My throat, nose, ears and eyes are also itchy. my nose is completely plugged. i don't have a fever now and never get them. Anyway, when I feel like this (usually about 4 x's a year) I go to an urgent care.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have a really bad sinus infection which may be affecting your Inner Ear. You do need to see your doctor. Antibiotics may very well clear it, Give them a try. It's no fun. I know. I had this about 20 years ago, never forgotten it! Sometimes an antihistamine can relieve the symptoms a bit. But I do think an antibiotic (prescribed) will clear it. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I have had repeat sinus infections, I had sinus surgery 4 years ago and that seemed to really improve the sinus infections but I still get bronchitis several (2-3) times a year, last month I was diagnosed with pnemonia (this is the second time I have had it in the last 5 years) I had no idea, just a lingering annoying cough, I even ran a 10 mile run with it and felt fine, they started me on antibiotics because my Dr. didnt like how my cough sounded.

643681 tn?1223407715 i have had my sinus problems over a year now, and also a dry cough for about 10 months that makes me gag, and about 2 weeks now i have been feeling dizzy, just went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics. i don't know what is causing the dizziness, because i heard that sinus can't cause that. can someone tell me what i should do? i hate being dizzy, and its not all the time, it can last for an hour or through the day.
Avatar f tn The foul smell could indicate a sinus infection requiring antibiotics. As for the nose bleeds, I'm not sure but might be linked to the possible sinus infection.
Avatar m tn From my knowledge iv never heard of someone having a sinus infection for 5 months and not being really really sick. like i can completely cope with this stuff, its just annoying. i noticed i was in a room with a humidifier and my nose seemed to clear up for the most part. iv taken claritan 24hr and it does nothing. Nasal Spray seems to work but it like wears off after a while. this is really frusterating and i wanna know some theories. im going to an ent soon too.

Avatar f tn It helps in soothing the skin. For sinus infection, ask him to take steam inhalation. Avoid indigestible, spicy, foods and meats. Eat simply of wholesome food. Obtain needed out-of-door exercise, sunbaths, and swimming. It can also be treated using an antihistamine nasal spray. Antihistamine works by blocking your immune system's response to the allergen. If still the symptoms persist then pls consult a physician. Take care and regards.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am a59 yrs old women, allergic to cats, dust & mold and grasses. I started allergy shots 6 weeks ago(I get 3 injections). I received the first shot of the second level of shots on thurs. Beginning thurs nite, my sinus began to react, very swollen, Could hardly breathe through my nose. I took zyrtec and used prescription flonaise on Friday, it helped a bit, but knocked the heck out of me, went to bed with a terrible headache.
Avatar n tn Hi. I recently had a sinus infection. A few days after that cleared up, i felt a lump in my throat ( like a ball of mucus or something) but i couldnt swallow it or cough it up. The day after that, i got a sore throat and cough with mucus. I am also having a bit of trouble swallowing and feeling weak and tired. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? thanks!
Avatar f tn I went to rite aid and asked the pharmacist what I can take with my symptoms and she said Clariton. so I bought it and have had the biggest headache all day. Will that work for a cold though? I need quick relief!! Anything else I can take? People always assume to drink and eat warm things but my throat LOVES slurpees, that's normal right?
209987 tn?1451935465 lol I have been suffering with sinus infections for most of my life...so I go through a lot of sinus rinses. lol I know I'm allergic to snow mould...but haven't found anything yet to relieve the symptoms. Anyone know a good natural antihistamine? This lung infection has been clinging to me since the start of December...the oregano oil seems to get rid of it for only a few days at a time...actually, I guess I should say that as soon as the infection goes away, I stop taking it...
Avatar m tn You might be possibly suffering from allergies. Have you tried taking any sinus medications? I sometimes have this problem and I take medication for sinus pressure/headaches.
Avatar n tn It is probably allergies. I would suggest that you try sinus rinses along with the antihistamine. Also, keep doors and windows closed as much as possible. If you have central air conditioning, running the fan continuously to filter the air would also help. Let us know how you do and if you would like more suggestions. There are many life style changes that can benefit allergy control. Another possibility is GERD. GERD can reach sinuses causing drainage and cough.
