At first i just thought it was dust etc but over the last few weeks the condition has got worse. Every morning when i wake up my eyes are really puffy, eyelids appear swollen, they feel sore and slightly bloodshot. This carries on throughout the day but slightly improves throughout the day, but then worsens again towards the end of the day. They are itchy a lot too.
I woke up last night and it felt like there was something in my eye. I tried to rub it out but that just seemed to make it worse so I got up and used some eye wash and it still didn't feel good and my eye started to swell a little.
I decided to just leave it be after that and went back to bed. When I woke up in the morning my eye was almost swollen shut. It is mostly my upper eye lid but the lower lid is also puffy down where you usually have "bags" under your eyes.

I have a 24 month old, who, about 2 weeks ago, started getting very puffy eyes, and a red bumpy rash on her face, neck, arms and legs. The pediatrician believes it was the sunscreen that we were using - we started giving her Benaydrl. I did some searching on google but all I could really find on what it might be was something called 'Silia' which are tiny goosebump-looking cysts caused by under exfoliating, heavy moisturizers, and/or under cleansing.
I would advise you to consult your primary care physician for an evaluation of puffiness of the eyes. He will ask for blood tests, urine analysis, an x ray, EKG and an ultra sonogram of the abdomen. Sometimes he may ask for an Intravenous pyelogram and a CT scan.

s been four days since it was last used and my pain is getting worse and worse as time goes on! Yesterday I woke up with puffy eyes, all over redness, bumps, dryness, pain, and so much itchiness. Today, on top of these symptoms, I have a red bumpy rash on my cheeks and, oddly enough, under my chin where product was not even used. Is this normal for symptoms to progress so long after stopping? I'm traveling and away from home otherwise I'd try to get into a dermatologist.

not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
ve got an upcoming appointment with the allergist, but I really believe something else is going on (I also frequently develop hives around the puffy eyes).Most mornings I wake up with my eyes almost swollen shut. I now have a patch of eczema under one eye. I tried special products, control creams, cortisone (in small amounts-I have to be careful since it is around my eye), vaseline...the list goes on. If anyone has any ideas, I'd welcome them!
What is the best antihistamine for allergic eyes? I am experiencing worse eye allergy than sinus allergy this Spring, and I think it is due to tree pollen in this area of Texas. I have found chlorphenaramine maleate and benadryl do not help.

Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl. I did take an occasional Claritin but it seems like every time I did anything I break out more. My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl.
locally it feels good to itch such as athletes foot did,
but the skin is not ultra-irratated or broken at all. just puffy. this was first noticed by me because I had let myself go for about 4 days without a shower, and I was itching that part the night before I discovered it in the john at work.
so I am wondering, did the "suspicious puffy skin" cause the itch, or did my itching cause the puffyness.
