Common Questions and Answers about Antihistamine cream rashes

antihistamine

Avatar n tn go see a dermotologist ASAP because letting it go will result in scarring!! I wish someone would have told me! Try a cream called GLAXAL BASE..works great!
Avatar m tn For the rashes, I was prescribed antihistamine (loratidine) and betamethasone cream(cortisteroids). I used the cream for 2 days and then stopped using but continued with taking the antihistamine. At 92 days post exposure, I again got tested for Hiv with Axsym hiv 1 and 2 ag/ab combo assay and it came out negative. My questions are: 1) Should i depend on all the tests that carried out.
Avatar n tn Now last two days i have a fever. It may be caused by BUG ? We have a bed bug problem in house. Generally the rashes disappearing two or three days.
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
Avatar n tn At first i found an itchy patch under my arm and thought nothing of it till the next day, it had developed into rashes and had spread to my neck and shoulder. When i went to see my GP, he had to ask for a second opinion as he though they were some kind of bites but the send GP had put it down to Shaving infections, even though i had stressed that i only use tweezers, he insisted that they were the same thing!!! And was prescribed anit-biotics both orally & cream form for 7 days.
Avatar m tn Oh and the antihistamine the doctor has put me on is Ebastina (spanish name) Also I bought some hydrocortisone cream and used it on my hands and arms and it has got rid of rashes that appeared there the other day (Well the rashes are still there but no longer pink) - I was prescribed this in the UK a year or so ago when I had dry skin rash things on my hands and what I had a couple of days looekd similar.
4461129 tn?1354930630 Try using a cortizone cream on it, too. Are you sure you didn't wear a new necklace or perhaps a blouse/shirt that has nylon thread that irritated your skin? Could be a bug bite - Try some vinegar on it and do take an antihistimine just in case.
Avatar n tn If you get some rashes in different parts of your body: say the tear-duct or closest outer part of the eye, on the hands between the last knuckle on the fingers and the thickest part of the hand. It is also on the shaft of penis going towards the scrotum. For me it is only on one side. The rash is very white like dried skin but it is not I fear. What could this be and do you think it is fatal???? The rash by the eye does not hurt or ich.

5045042 tn?1365890100 If you have a rash, you can use a strong prescription steroid cream. If you are itching, you can use a stronger prescription antihistamine. I had severe itching and bad rash issues. I itched all over and the rash was everywhere. Benadryl and over the counter hydrocortisone creams did absolutely nothing. My dermatologist prescribed Hydroxyzine 50 mg every 6 hours as needed. (I needed it every 6 hours for several months.
Avatar m tn i am having symptoms of itchy small dotted rashes all over my body especially in the groin and thigh area from 2 weeks of exposure. I put Bethamethasone cream but to no avail then i took antihistamine to reduce the itchiness. i had sore throat and diarrhea just today. Could this be a sign i was infected with HIV. I want to get tested but at 20 days , is it too soon to get the correct results? What are the chances of having HIV in this encounter?
Avatar n tn I've had red rashes on the glans of my penis since around 4 years ago. I'm not exactly sure but I think it started when I was taking Roaccutane. The rashes aren't always visible. I know 100% it's not an STD because it had no contact with anyone. I've googled my problem quite a few times and I don't think it's either balanitis or psoriasis. I've tried quite a few things, among others are keeping it as dry as possible, and not touching down there for a while.
Avatar f tn s about it... nothing more than just there... I have tried Benadryl cream on it, cortizone cream, and other rash creams... just don't seem to do the trick... I have no idea... They don't bother me and wouldn't even know they exist other than the fact I see them.... They are merely worrisome.. I tried looking up all rashes and the pictures and none seem to match...
Avatar n tn Greeting, Recently, i realize the outburst of small blisters on my forth finger. Initially it was on the inner side of the finger and it went off, leaving with dead skins peeling off from it. Now it re-appeared and I've discovered a 3small blisters on my third finger. I do not know what is the cause but I'm using Neoderm Cream which my GP prescribed to me for my rashes on my body. Will the small blisters spread? Secondly, I have small patches of rashes whenever I perspire and shower.
543225 tn?1214191119 i just posted a question about rashes but i have another photo that i would like to add that is more visible and may help
Avatar n tn Is there any type of internal medication that I can take to eliminate this condition. It is extremely frustrating. I have been to the clinic and all they supply me is a cream to help control the itchiness. Please help and any idea that can help me point in the right direction. Thanks!
Avatar n tn What you need to do is to stop using anything that causes an allergic reaction and to apply antihistamine cream or ointment to the affected parts. Ask your pharmacist for advice in choosing an over-the-counter preparation.
Avatar f tn m 26 years old and currently suffering from itchy, red bumps that eventually develop into rashes. Most of these rashes are in my panty area, but I noticed a few just beneath my armpits, abdomen, neck and back, too. My dermatologist has given me corticosoid creams (pardon the spelling if it's incorrect) and Betneton tablets, but I don't seem to respond to them at all. I found rubbing some coconut oil on them quite soothing, though.
Avatar m tn I used Hydrocortisone Cream USP 2.5% and a All Day Allergy pill 10 mg. The pill seems to be helping as I feel better. But I can't help scratching it. It is on my arms, legs, back, upper chest, and ears. But I am still not sure if it is getting better. Please help ASAP!
6708370 tn?1471490210 I needed a prescription level steroid cream for the rash, and was given Triamcinolone 0.1% cream. It worked very well for settling down the rash. I also took Benadryl at night (still do) to help me overcome the nighttime itchiness. Many others have required a prescription for Hydroxyzine for the itching.
Avatar n tn I moved from a very humid climate to a dry, colder climate/higher altitude this winter. Since moving here, we both have developed rashes throughout our body. Dry skin, kind of scaly but not quite, just noticible, red patches some no bigger than a dime some larger. They itch too. I have to assume that this is due to the climate change, but wonder what would be good treatment. I have tried a combination of a good moisturizer mixed with hydrocortisone cream with no luck.
Avatar f tn I'm 23 weeks and ever since I hit 20 weeks I keep getting a rash on my face and arms, I've seen a doc one tried antihistamine and creams they have put it down to pregnancy..... Has anyone else had this happen??? If so has it gone away???
