antihistamine

Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
Avatar f tn My hives seemed managable mostly at this point but in October 2009 I stopped all antihistmaines to have a food alllergy test just to see if anything turned up there. Nothing did but I noticed my hives really improved after stopping all the antihistamines. Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl. I did take an occasional Claritin but it seems like every time I did anything I break out more.
Avatar n tn It can be even easier than that. You could alway ask your doc to try free samples of Nasal Sprays for rhinitis, sinusitis. If it works than you know what it is. Then you need to figure out why it happens like if it is allergy or sinusitis and treat it more specifically if you want to. Once way to rule in allergy is antihistamine like Benedryl. If you take an antihistamine and it stops it's more likely rhinitis.
Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
1415174 tn?1453243103 I did have a viral infection when I had my blood drawn and was thinking it could be that. Also, my blood protein was slightly high.
Avatar n tn I noticed severe itching at just hands and feets with grilled food, especially one kind of grilled chicken. I checked with doctors, had prick test and blood test, but the allergy tests results for meat products came negative. I tried vegetarian for a while, but it didn't change the allergy condition in me. I have to use antihistamine on alternate days and cause of my allergy is still unknown. What should I do, how can I cure this allergy?
Avatar f tn I understand you are saying that both parties need to have bleeding sore and they needs to be in close proximity to cause (blood to blood type) transfer of virus. If that is the case then why veginal fluid alone is also considered risk ? Also, Comments by doctor on test accuracy at 27 day and assessment on symptoms will really help me. Week 3- pain in groin area. Week 4- day 27 negative duo. Groin pain gone.
Avatar n tn What kind were you taking?
Avatar n tn When i went to the ER at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital they advised me that it was a local bite and will go away.NO blood test, NO question about my immunisation records, NOTHING to help me! Im scared because my body does not feel the same!! Please help me!
Avatar n tn Could it be that this antihistamine can be causing this increase in my blood pressure? I am allergic to the drugs used for controling blood pressure and prior to this successfully lowered my pressure by exercise and diet.It is normal for me to have a reading of 130 over 80. I am 59 years old. I weigh 110 pounds. I am 5 foot 6 inches tall. My exercise routine is rigorous. I exercise one hour a day, 5 days a week. I watch my diet, never smoked and drink low alcohol level white wine daily.
Avatar n tn fluocinonide Cream usp and Fexofenadine hcl 180 mg tablet. I asked them for any kind of blood or other test is required ? but still they are not sure about this red rashes..because they come and go ..I really don't know ..why suddenly decreased appetite and also some time in left leg knee joint little pain . Feeling malaise sometime..but i did not have any painful blisters ...sometime tiny pimple kind of spot in shoulder. ..Could be sign of any STD...?
Avatar n tn This rash is small (about the size of 2 quarters side by side), reddish and has little blister-like bumps. I first got it about 10 years ago. I appears once or twice a year and is either on the left or right side of my upper back near my shoulder near the armpit (but it isn't in my armpit .. it is actually on my back). I found a photo on a rash photo search on the internet which is attached here. It hurts and doesn't itch.
Avatar m tn The rashes were tiny pinhead in size. I did rapid antibody blood test for HIV 1 and 2 (3rd generation) which came out to be negative. The said rash spread to my upper chest, upper and middle back. I again got tested at 77 days and 84 days using the same kind of tests and got negative results. For the rashes, I was prescribed antihistamine (loratidine) and betamethasone cream(cortisteroids). I used the cream for 2 days and then stopped using but continued with taking the antihistamine.
Avatar n tn The only way to know for sure what I was allergic to, then, was to have a blood serum test run (they draw blood and test it against known and possible allergies).
Avatar m tn I tried to donate blood today and I was not allowed to because my blood pressure was too low. It was 80/44, they checked it three times. My pulse was 68. Is this something to worry about? I will schedule a checkup with my doctor, but I thought i'd find out what you all think. I'm gave blood about 6 months ago and everyhting was fine.. I'm trying to think of what I have changed in the last 6 months..
Avatar n tn Do i need to take another test. Also i had been taking antihistamine (vozet) for itching, can this medication have any affect on the test. Please advice.
Avatar n tn Can i do a allergy skin ***** test while actively suffering from a allergy. Would i get the correct results?
