Avatar n tn I am allergic to the drugs used for controling blood pressure and prior to this successfully lowered my pressure by exercise and diet.It is normal for me to have a reading of 130 over 80. I am 59 years old. I weigh 110 pounds. I am 5 foot 6 inches tall. My exercise routine is rigorous. I exercise one hour a day, 5 days a week. I watch my diet, never smoked and drink low alcohol level white wine daily. Both of my parents had high blood pressure.
Avatar n tn For the past few months I have had a sensation of fullness in the face in the cheekbone area and behind the ears and eyes. When I lay on my side I have a feeling of pressure on my eyes. My MRI came out negative. This is driving me crazy. I feel like I have a lot of fluid in my head but I am not blowing anything out of my nose. What could it be?
Avatar m tn I tried to donate blood today and I was not allowed to because my blood pressure was too low. It was 80/44, they checked it three times. My pulse was 68. Is this something to worry about? I will schedule a checkup with my doctor, but I thought i'd find out what you all think. I'm gave blood about 6 months ago and everyhting was fine.. I'm trying to think of what I have changed in the last 6 months..
Avatar f tn Are you taking any medications for high blood pressure? Certain blood pressure medications are notorious for this side effect.
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
Avatar m tn My face and lips experienced some burning sensation and I felt weak and heavy in my calf muscles. My doctor put me on antihistamine and the facial burning sensation reduced. However I started to experience burning sensation in my head - scalp. Sometimes it felt like acid thrown on it and sometime it felt like a my hair had been pulled too long and the area in the head was sore. Blood work showed low B12 (247) and Vitamin D (8).
Avatar m tn Hi, I agree with shazbat64, could quite easily be migraines. I think you should visit a chiropractor or osteopath to see if you have something out in your neck, which I have had a massive migraine and dizziness from. I know alot of people don't believe in chiro's though. Also go to your GP and see if it's migraine's. I have taken "PERIACTIN" more than once. It is an antihistamine and used as a migraine preventative.
Avatar n tn What kind were you taking?

Avatar f tn My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl. Big mistake since I woke up broke out in bad hives. I had to wait to get home to take benadryl since I am not 100% certain that Benadryl does not give me hives.
Avatar f tn I personally take a claritin everyday. I have seasonal allergies and pet dander makes my eyes and face really itchy. My Dr OKed it and said its totally safe. Hope this helps.
612551 tn?1450022175 I had prior to the vet visit above been given Wilson one half Benedryl 25 mg Antihistamine morning and evening, in the hope it would clear up the paw problem. A couple weeks of this did not produce any improvement. I then checked and saw recommendations to use 1 - 2 mg per pound. As Wilson is j20+ pounds my does level was low. I have decided to continue giving him Benadryl but now one 25 mg capsule morning and night. Hope it keeps his paws and general itch problems under control.
Avatar f tn We have taken her off both medications, and might just give her an antihistamine if she begins to itch too much. The Vet also prescribed Enalapril because her blood pressure has been sky high related to the declining kidney function. So, now we are looking for another solution with her diet. All of the prescribed foods for kidney issues have gluten or wheat, so we can’t give her any of those. She was miserable before we cut wheat from her diet. We are willing to do whatever it takes!
643681 tn?1223407715 The likely cause is chronic nasal congestion that ultimately in many patients will block the eustachean tube connecting the nose to the middle ear. This tube keeps the pressure in the middle and inner ear normal. The inner ear is also responsible for balance. Thus, if the inner ear is disturbed, such as an infection, which is usually viral, an affected patient will often complain of lightheadedness or dizziness.
Avatar n tn Yoga or exercise moves that put the eye inverted (think standing on your head) markedly raise the pressure in the eye and the blood pressure inside the brain. It is strongly recommended that glaucoma patients not do this and many MDs recommend people with high blood pressure or a family history of cerebral aneurysms not do this. It will also raise the tissue pressure so I would say you were upside down too long.
Avatar m tn t necessarily feel better. Huge pressure on my nose ridge and middle of forehead, getting dizzy, and sometime hard to focus on work, don't feel like to get up even after 10 hours of sleep. what is this pressure and what can i do?
Avatar f tn I am an active, twenty-year-old female with a healthy diet and low blood pressure. This past fall I began experiencing tingling in my arms and legs, and my hands began going numb and changing colors in response to cold temperatures. I didn’t see a doctor at that time because the tingling sensations were more a nuisance than a major disruption and I also was fairly convinced that I had Raynaud’s.
Avatar f tn They had given me a steroid shot and steroid pills to continue taking for about 8-10 days. Along with a antihistamine. They worked and rash was cleared up. The same rash appeared about 2 weeks later again i went to the doctor and they did the same routine (steroid and antihistamine). Cleared up again. Now 2 weeks later the same rash is back but not as severe. This time there is redness in my face as well.
Avatar f tn It's been 3 weeks since I had my blood pressure checked at the doctor's office. Every time I go to the doctor I get super nervous and my bp is always up. My entire life I've had a fear of going to doctors so I hadn't been to one in 5 years before all of this started. Last week when I went to the general surgeon, for consultation about the upper endoscopy, they did not check my bp. It's over this past week where it's been running abnormally low.
