I looked up ceclor 500mg and it is rated class B which means they haven't done much testing on it but that what they have done leads them to believe there will be no adverse side effects and that it is better for you to take the meds if needed in pregnancy then not take them.

Avatar n tn Yeah take antibiotics but once it goes away it might gives you a yeast infection.. Because it gave me one so make sure u tell ur obgyn they will give u some medicine to take..

Avatar n tn Take the antibiotics, with my first son I had a uti but didn't realise until I was in the back of an ambulance with my womb contracting due to a uti at 18 weeks. I was started on an anti biotic drip & steroids to mature the baby's lungs.

Avatar f tn I can't say for sure because there are different types of antibiotics and different dosages, etc. But I can tell you that in my last pregnancy I needed to take antibiotics for a tooth problem and it didn't seem to effect that pregnancy. My son just turned 1 yr and seems prefect to me. ;-) I was really worried about it too but I didn't really have a choice. I needed the meds. Thankfully everything turned out well.

Mines always came back twice Bcus the first meds I given didn't work well n my doctor had to give me something stronger I went threw this for both pregnancy... It was so annoying, but I agree with the lady above just drink plenty of water n be sure to take those meds.

I expect that it is as most are but it would be best to run it by your doctor You can go online and look up the drug's package insert and labeling pertaining to pregnancy as well. good luck and I hope you feel better.

Avatar f tn I am hoping that I do not have to take them at all during this pregnancy as with my 8 year old I had to take them in 3rd trimester due to kidney infection and just recently my daughter had a water infection, two different antibiotics did not work for her, luckily the third cleared it up, I am worried my daughter has become immune to certain antibiotics due to me taking them in my pregnancy, it might not be that but it did put me off but it f you need them then there is nothing you can do

Avatar f tn You definitely need to get some antibiotics from your doctor asap. UTIs are common during pregnancy but can cause serious problems if not treated immediately. I had UTI during my first trimester, was prescribed Macrobid, and it was gone in a couple days. Best wishes!
Avatar f tn She also said it can be pretty common during pregnancy because of the organs being squished and what not. I was given dialided which made the pain go quick and I felt niceeee. I was discharged next night and went back later wakingup to pain again. Was admitted again and sent home next day with a prescription of percocets. Haven't had to take any thus far cause I think I finally passed it. Thank God. That was seriously the worst pain I've ever been in.

You need to check with them first and see what they say is ok.
