Common Questions and Answers about Antibiotics yeast cleanse

antibiotics

Avatar n tn Antibiotics can kill good bacteria. That's why a woman can get a yeast infection when being treated with them. Some people do a yeast cleanse after antibiotic treatment. If your concerned you can always call your Dr and ask or check out a health food store for something to balance out your natural bacteria.
Avatar f tn only as a suggestion for you, I use SolarRay yeast-cleanse which you can buy at most vitamin shoppes but if you find it works for you let me know & I will look up where I buy mine for a 1/2 the price. Good Luck.
Avatar m tn So Im thinking doing the digestive cleanse the doctor put me on plus the antibiotics and not getting enough probiotics in my system after the cleanse may have allowed the yeast to spread and take over. I have been home remedy treating it as a yeast infection which seems to be keeping it at bay but not completely eliminating it.
Avatar n tn It could be UTI, in which case you may need antibiotics. the white your describing sounds like thrush and thats a common yeast infection...almost every woman gets it at some point. Go to the doctors, thats the best step to take.
Avatar f tn Along with changing diet the product Candida Cleanse by Rainbow Light is great. It's an herbal blend that helps balance yeast in our bodies when they become unbalanced. A good quality probiotic taken morning and night such as Garden of Life Women is a wonderful one. Products can be found online or at your local health food store.
Avatar m tn The antibiotics could have given you a yeast infection (Candida) Look up candida cleanse on the internet, there is a whole list of things to solve this. It prbly didn't come from the SW what happens is we all have Candida (yeast) in our digestive systems it is kept in check by good bacteria. When you take a high powered antibiotic it kills all bacteria including the good in your digestives. This leaves the yeast to over run the place.
Avatar n tn Beer and breads use yeast called Saccharomyces cerevisiae. You could be allergic to this yeast. Yes, you are right about antibiotics making one susceptible to candida infection. However your symptoms do not point towards it. They point towards an allergic reaction more and if you have mold allergy then you are a likely candidate for yeast allergy. Please discuss this with your doctor. You may need to consult an allergy specialist.
Avatar m tn s dosage of antibiotics which did not solve the problem. I am not sexually active and have been taking one seven-billion unit probiotic tablet every day. My age is seventeen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn Was able to find it and get it out, reexamined myself 4 times, and gave myself a cleanse with distilled water and white vinegar, all symptoms are ceasing, made appointment to check my cervix, do I need to worry?
Avatar m tn I attributed the white in my mouth to a yeast infection, or thrush, and took a product called Candida Cleanse for a while. I thought I might have a yeast overgrowth in my body because it seems like I will start to get a yeast infection for a day, and then it will go away without treatment(about once a month). I went to a doctor once for it (I am a more holistic person, so I try to avoid medication), and she though I had a vitamin B deficiency. She checked my blood, and I did not.
Avatar n tn go to Natural Health Food Store..get a Candida Yeast Cleanse..follow the instrustions thoroughly...and get rid of your yeast build up in your body... just a suggestion.. Blessings..
Avatar f tn You really do need to see a doctor. Fishy odor usually goes with bacterial vaginosis, not a yeast infection, and yeast infections usually have the cottage cheese discharge. Burning could be from a UTI, but it could also just be from the skin being irritated (urine is somewhat caustic, and will burn when it comes in contact with broken skin). If it is BV, yogurt won't help you (and it's not a good idea to insert it in the vagina).
6402846 tn?1391063748 I've had thrush, diarrhea, and systemic yeast. Nystatin is a good start, but if it's really entrenched, that won't be enough. Diflucan really helped me but it's rough on the liver so you can only take it for a short time. I have found Solar-Ray's Yeast Cleanse to be incredibly helpful. If I miss 2 days of it, I feel and see the yeast coming back.
Avatar f tn I have been going through this for nearly 4 years now, infected with candida glabrata. My symptoms are, adrenal fatigue, inflammation in joints, headaches, bran fogging, inflammation sinus, heavy discharge through vagina, athlete foot, very low sexy drive cant even feel my vagina when I have sex anymore, dont feel the sensation, lost so much muscles, from tummy, buttocks.
Avatar f tn Ruby it sounds like we have the same issue. I've tried everything yogurt acidophilus yeast cleanse antibiotics apple cider vinegar. Have you been given any meds by your doctor for c glabrata?
Avatar m tn If you are taking a strong probiotic and its not helping you may need to try a candida cleanse to get rid of the yeast overgrowth. You can try some caprylic acid, as that helps beat down that annoying yeast. Sad thing is, it could just take a while for your digestive system to regular once again. One bout of the flu, or food poisoning, or antibiotics use can throw off your gut for months.
Avatar f tn So since I been pregnant I been having alot of uti and I just got a call from my doctor that I have ANOTHER 1 there prescribing me antibiotics like always but every time I have to take antibiotics I get a really bad yeast infection after which they say is normal but it is the worst to me. Why do I keep getting uti??? What can I do to keep them away I heard its normal to have them but i dont even realize i ever have them but man them yeast infection after is the worst part. :( help.???
Avatar f tn you need to return to be seen and get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally and anally. antibiotics can trigger yeast infections in the genital area but you should never self treat . also when you have itching , use plain water to cleanse with. many folks are sensitive to aloe and many of the ingredients in personal cleansing wipes, even the ones that say that they are hypoallergenic. they are loaded with chemicals that not everyone can tolerate.
Avatar f tn Yes - yeast overgrowth is due to sugar addiction (which I am guilty of!) I absolutely love dessert and fruits (because they are sweet). I really want to get this under control because I never knew how addicted I was to sugar and bread until I was looking into detoxifying my body. I could not last all day without my chocolate and sweets! Thank you for the pau darco suggestion, I will definitely try that. The boric acid suppositories have helped but I will also try this and see where it goes...
Avatar f tn I have problems with chronic yeast infections (of the vaginal variety) and am just starting a 4 month candida cleanse which involves a healthy but restrictive diet and some supplements. I am hoping it has a positive effect on other areas of my health as well. There is some evidence of candida (yeast) problems and autoimmune problems. Steroids and antibiotics make it more likely. I get a flare-up of yeast infections about a week after IVSM. Yeast is a fungus.
Avatar f tn If you're on Doxy, it could most certainly be causing your GI distress. It's well known for that. It's important to take it with food, as in eat something, take the med, then eat some more. I took it halfway between a full meal and I didn't have a problem with it. Other drugs can mess up your stomach, so unless it specifically says to take on an empty stomach, then take it during a meal. Raw garlic is tough.
Avatar f tn A couple nights ago I had pretty intense and long sex for the first time in a good while. Today I was itching a lot and upon cleaning myself and expecting a bit of a yeast infection from the heavy play, I noticed two small bumps on the bottom right side of what would be my hymen/ vaginal opening just on the inside. I squeezed them and they popped easily with some sort of almost skin like expression from them. Just after they bled lightly.
Avatar m tn See if u can get a dosage of DIFLUCAN which helps eliminate the yeast from taking antibiotics...and u may want to ask for it going forward each time u r rx'd an antibiotic.....and then do look into a probiotic to replace all teh good bacteria u need to process ur food : ) No worries...
Avatar n tn Basically If you find my last post I was wrecked with nerves, anxiety and worry over mouth cancer and HIV with the funny symptoms I was having, they all seemed to point to HIV and it terrified me despite the fact I never really did anything to get HIV. I did have a week course of antibiotics in dec 2010 which was heavy and I believe was the problem, I also had other antibiotics previously for acne which probably weakened me prior to the heavy course.
Avatar n tn More than a year ago I started getting yeast infections after being on antibiotics. In April/07 was the first month that the symptoms were different. ie I had a lot of pain, noticed blisters and the Monostat cream did not clear it up like it did previously. Anyway, I started getting an "outbreak" every 6 weeks. I went to the Dr. in July/07. He looked at the bumps and thought I might have hsv. He admitted he didn't ahve much experience in his practice with it.
Avatar f tn My doc would only give me 10 days in a row, and then I could take only 1 every 3 days. I have found that the supplement Yeast Cleanse is very effective at holding the yeast at bay without the harshness of the prescription remedies. It's the only approved anti-yeast supplement I've tried that really works.
