antibiotics

Avatar n tn I have suffered from recurring boils even was admitted to the hospital for 4 days with a staph infection. Dr. told me to use antibacterial soap and take a round of antibiotics. Neither of these treatments worked. Here is the real cure, Cured my recurring condition in less than 1 week. 1. Go on a juice fast for 3 days. Juice fast consists of fresh made juice made with a juicer, blended raw vegetable soup (receipe below) lots of water and hot green tea with organic tumeric.
Avatar m tn I have several of what appear to be scars left by previous boils.. In any case, try going to a swimming pool or a lake to swim with 3 boils the size of quarters on the back of your leg.. Not going to happen.. What can I do and could this be a sign of a bigger problem??
Avatar f tn Give your Dr a call to ask what you can use. You may be able to use a topical antibiotic. Do check with your Dr first though.
Avatar n tn i have a boil locatedfight above my genital area and i would like to know if there are any effective home remedys and if not can you suggesta cheap over the counter solution
Avatar n tn I was getting them, and I went to a specialist who told me that people who get them over and over usually are never getting rid of the bacteria. I had to take 3 weeks of antibiotics, and use muroprocin ointment in my nose 2 times a day. It worked. he said that the staph hides in your nose.
Avatar n tn I agree on the MRSA. Let your doctor know about them. They can run a test to see if it MRSA or not. It has to be treated with antibiotics. It's also highly contagious.
Avatar n tn t even know you did bacteria can get in there and form a boil. He put me on some antibiotics and told me to use antibacterial soap. If you continue shaving I suggest use antibacterial soap if you don't already to minimize the chance of your little nicks getting infected.
Avatar n tn I have a history of boils in the pubic area which I was told was from shaving. However, I have had bumps that have developed and not come to a head like the boils always have. I started out with only a couple little ones last week and now I have 8 of them (some bigger than others). Should I be concerned?
Avatar m tn sound lke pus, ppl can get boils anywhere. go see your dermatologist and get some medication to use on it.
Avatar m tn This question is actually for a friend of mine. He is 28 years old and has suffered from chronic boils all of his life. He can get them all over his body but they mainly occur on his back. These are no ordinary pimples or zits, they can become huge, as big as a golfball. He has the thickest skin I have ever seen on a human and due to this, the boils almost always have to be lanced in order for them to go away.
Avatar f tn Hello, The symptoms are suggestive of boils. Boils may be due to poor personal hygiene or minor trauma to the skin allowing bacteria to invade, use of antiperspirant deodorants, use of strong drugs which may hamper the immunity or a diabetic patient. Warm compresses may help, antibiotics are used sometimes, good hygiene, no picking or compressing and zinc supplements may help. You can use topical antibiotics like Bactroban. If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist.
Avatar n tn hmm ive never heard of boils being related to drug use. From my understanding it is a STAPH infection that causes boils. I would be concerned that he has them. Are you sure they are boils, and not hives or somthing else? If he does indeed have actual boils all over his body, he needs to go to a Dr. asap, he will need antibiotics for the staph infection! good luck to you!
Avatar m tn At age of 15 i started getting regular acne but over the years its just become more like boils or ingrown hairs. Ive tried everything possible out there to the point that i gave up. Avatar m tn I have read and been told that antibiotic treatment is usually the best treatment for nose boils. What I would like to know, is WHICH antibiotic(s) is recommended, at what strength, and for how long? You should also know, that I am allergic to Penicillin. I live very near a clean and safe Mexican border town and have shopped there many times. Nuevo Progresso, Mexico, is known for its quality pharmacias, and I could quickly and safely go there to purchase antibiotics without a prescription.
Avatar f tn I went to the doctor and was told that it was a staph infection.I was given antibiotics and told to keep area clean. They did clear up entirely after about a week.I had them for two weeks previously before I had gone to doctor.I now have boils popping up again, but around my bellybutton area. What could be causing these?I also had a case of the shingles in this same area when I was eleven years old(many years ago).
Avatar f tn I googled this and the signs that matched the most was a boil. However, boils are supposed to be red and soft. My bumps are purplish (maybe because of my dark brown skin tone) and the bumps are not at all soft. They are harder than the rest of my skin. Is it a boil and should I treat it like one?
Avatar n tn Boils are a form of staph infection I am no dr. but have experienced this, he needs antibiotics.
Avatar m tn Also if they itch before becoming puss filled ask the dr to trisamalol i think is how its spelled i dont have it in front of me, I have found that it works better for us and it is not as harsh as most cortisone based itch creams. Bract-ban is a good topical antibiotic also to request, as long as these are safe for her to use.
Avatar n tn for the past 3 years i have been getting cysts [or boils?] on my vulva and inner thighs. they are only in those areas. as soon as one dries up, there is a new one starting up. the first sign is an itch that stays itchy until the bump grows larger. if you squeeze on the bump it is extremely painful. some eventually produce blood/puss, but some just get really bad, then go down a little and then flame up again. like its some kind of game! i had one Dr tell me that it was from shaving.
Avatar f tn I tried going easy on the fatty oily foods and that kind of helped.
Avatar n tn i keep going to the doctor for this but they tell me to go to a specialist but i dont know where to go every doctor ive been to can't figure it out i am on antibiotics already and i cant find relief i need a hip replacement very soon or i might not be able to walk.
Avatar f tn I was just wondering if anyone else is getting really big boils and if there's anything I can do?! I'm 12 wks. And I have them on my face, Ear, under breast, in between legs and it's very painful I need help!
Avatar f tn I would encourage you not to use any home remedies but rather to see a doctor/nurse practitioner to get an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Some abscesses also grow germs that are resistant to usual antibiotics so seeing a doctor is important to assure you don't have MRSA or some other resistant germs causing the boils. When you see the doctor, you can ask if there are any home treatments you could try should the boils recur in the future. The link to more info is: http://www.
