Avatar n tn m ever infection totally free, although antibiotics help, I still do have symptoms after antibiotics,,and occasional prednisone bursrts. So its like it never leaves me even after several weeks of antibiotics, even iv.
Avatar f tn I am allergic to so many antibiotics. I now have a serious sinus infection and my doctor cannot find an antibiotic to treat the infection that does not cause either hives or diarrhea. I need help. Below are the antibiotics that I cannot take but can I take??? penicillen, minocin, keflex, erthromicin levaguin ceftin, cepro, omnicef So what is left? Please help me.
Avatar f tn wondered if u also get yeast infections...antibiotics can cause a flare up of a yeast infection...so do ask for DIFLUCAN to help prevent that issue altogether. Speaking with a Pharmacist may be the best help in knowing what meds would be best for u with the H.Pylori...it can be resistant to antibiotics...and can require a second round. Then, the antibiotics can kill off all teh good bacteria u need, so ask ur dr about taking a probiotic afterward.
242516 tn?1368223905 The flu has passed epidemic rates in much of the country, and if you don't have a cold, I'm sure you have a friend who has the sniffles, fever, chills, aches and pains of a viral upper respiratory infection. This is different from a bacterial infection such as sinusitis, bronchitis, or pneumonia. A viral infection doesn't improve with antibiotics as these infections do. A virus hijacks your own body's healthy cells and uses it to reproduce and spread.
Avatar f tn I had one my last pregnancy. Drink lots of water.
Avatar f tn Don't take antibiotics for a yeast infection! You need to good flora to fight the yeast. Eat lots of plain yogurt, garlic and cut down sugars (they feed yeast and can make it sooop strong and hard to fight). This may seem gross or tmi, but a natural way to help it is to put plain yogurt up there. Use a syringe or something. It really helps.
Avatar f tn Was your wife told that she was allergic to the antibiotics or is she drug-resistant? There is a huge difference. Pseudomonas is typically a very hard bacteria to kill and becomes drug resistant when antibiotics are used very often. My daughter had pseudomonas several months ago and had to have her ear swabbed and cultured. The pseudomonas was resistant to all the drug classses but the newest cyclosporin. She has had chronic ear infections since she was a baby (she's 13).
Avatar n tn If you suspect an upper respiratory infection, please take your fur baby to a vet. If this amoxicillin or ciproflaxin is human medication, do not give this to your cat as this is made for human consumption not for cats. Take your cat to a vet to be properly diagnosed and treated. Under no circumstances should you ever use human prescription meds on a cat.
Avatar f tn I'm am ANTI antibiotics.....but when I was 13 weeks pregnant I got a really bad Infection from a broken wisdom tooth and had to take them to kill infection before having it pulled. I'm now 38weeks and my Daughter is fine, although I was Leary. An infection in way more detrimental then The antibiotics.
Avatar f tn My anxiety is way too high to start taking these antibiotics! "Not recommended for pregnant women unless benefits outweigh the risks" is not good enough for me! The doctor asked if I was on birth control when I went in (ER) -.- , im 28 weeks & seriously do not want anything risking my babies health :( the pills are Apo-Cephalex 500mg. My ingrown toenail keeps getting worse as Im unable to clean it on a regular basis or let it breathe at all.
Avatar n tn Another pointer is that sometimes it can be a bacteria infection instead of a yeast infection (this is what my doc said), when I went to my appointment at 38 weeks to get checked they did a swab test to make sure it was gone but they actually said I had a bacteria infection, not a yeast infection and I am now on antibiotics for 7 days which I am hoping to finish before the baby comes. I hope this helped.
Avatar f tn Anyway this antibiotics is strong and now I have a yeast infection. I know I can take monistat for it but. When should i start using it? I still have 7 days of antibiotics to take. I'm afraid if it start the cream now I'll still be stuck with the yeast infection since I'm still on the antibiotics.
Avatar f tn I just wanted to know if this was good enough...I am halfway through with my antibiotics and would have finished a month of Doxycycline twice a day (100mg) and will take another ELISHA TEST then WESTERN BLOT test after the month is up. does this sound good enough for the antibiotics to work? any suggestions?
Avatar f tn You appear to be having a viral infection, hence are not responding to antibiotics. The other possibility is that the bacteria are not sensitive to the antibiotic you are taking. Along with cold symptoms since you also have sever neck pain, chances of meningitis are there. On the other hand viral flu causes neck pain and headache too. It is also possible that you have infectious mononucleosis. You have searched well!
Avatar f tn Yup all 3 of my pregnancies I've had to take antibiotics at some point or another. Right now I'm on some for a uti I've also been on them for a sinus infection and a kidney infection during pregnancy.
1840402 tn?1355432565 Amoxicillin is one of the most widely prescribed antibiotics during pregnancy and has not been shown to cause any harm to a human fetus. Take the medication to clear up the infection, the last thing you want is for it to get worse.
317787 tn?1473358451 Hey there, I have an abscessed tooth, have been on clindamycin/cleocin for 7 days now, today I have to get the tooth pulled. I can see the infection is still draining. I was wondering if anyone knows what would be the safest antibiotic for me to take, considering that I have cirrhosis. I would appreciate any advice. I had asked for anything in the penicillin family however the doctor gave me the above instead.
Avatar f tn hi im a 22 year old female and i wanted to know is it possible for a uirnary tract infection to cause a vaginal infection im asking because i spoke to my aunt and she told me she was going throw the same problem as me an she said she got sick an wen to a urologist an they to her she had a infection an they flush her system an after ward she was better
9771234 tn?1405793808 Safe.
Avatar f tn I was taking cephalexin for a really bad throat and ear infection I had two weeks ago.
5915949 tn?1396188227 They say its a class B which means there arent any studies whether its safe or not. 16wks and have a sinus infection and I'm wondering has anyone taken a Z-pack for antibiotics and had any complications?
Avatar f tn It is really up to you, I had a sinus infection and opted to stick it out. Strep is going through my family and I know with my luck I will get it, but I will definitely take antibiotics to try and keep it from spreading even more.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed azithromycin before i new i was pregnant.. I have a throat infection and i am afraid to take the meds.. But i wa reading that if the infection isnt cleared it can go to the baby..
Avatar f tn I had that too due to antibiotics. My doctor said to me its best to finish of the antibiotics for the treatment of uti first and only AFTER that treat the yeast infection cuz it wouldnt go away othrwise. Bt u cud still use the cream for the itch while ur on the antibiotic. I did as the doctor said and i was given a 3 day treatment for the yeast infection. But it wudnt go away just got worse so I went back to doctor and she gave me a weeks supply of the treatment and finally im now yeast free!!
