523728 tn?1264621521 The American Cancer Society reports that "[t]here is no reliable scientific evidence that ****** therapy is effective in treating cancer, and the principles behind it are not widely accepted by the medical community. It is not approved for use in the United States.
Avatar n tn Google it. There are several sites that just give drug label info. Wikipedia is a good starting point, as it usually is linked to the other label sites. Look for lines within the label info that refer to liver or hepatic. If there is any knowledge that a drug can harm the liver it will be on the label. You can easily come across a line on some drug labels that warns about treating patients with "hepatic impairment" (means liver damage).
1747349 tn?1332683680 The preferred practice is to use so-called "tripple therapy" involving three different antibiotics. The selction of the antibiotics vary (H-Pylori replication is inhibited by many different antibiotics), however the general idea is to attack three different mechanisms used in bacterial replication. Preferably the antibiotics come from different classes.
Avatar f tn It is on the safe list from my obgyn. I also researched it. Its fine in pregnancy. I'm just worried about a severe reaction that will cause bigger problems for me and my baby - throat swelling, etc.things that are highly unlikely. That's why my husband is irritated.
29837 tn?1414534648 Mussolini and Tommy Lee aren't correct either. Go to the Wikipedia site and those ARE correct. Sorry. I should have looked through the whole list before I hit send.
Avatar f tn My recollection of the information I read when my husband was going through the evaluation process for his transplant is that you will need to be sober 6 months before they will even put you on the transplant list. Once on the list, if you start drinking again you will be removed from the list and a new waiting period will begin again to ensure your sobriety. So it is very important that you not drink - not even a beer. Ask your doctor if he is a hepatologist or gastroenterologist.
Avatar m tn I used heavy dose of antibiotics in feb 2009 as my doctor misdiagonised my normal fever as malaria and treated me with powerful antibiotics. From the second day, i had bulged tongue with huge white coating , severe eye problems, breathing problems, severe body pains, joint pains, etc.. I faced all those problems for almost 3 months. But now the only thing that depresses me is about eyes. Till today i think mine are Eye floaters but today accidentally i read about yeast in eyes.

666921 tn?1254990618 It could be the sensory overload issue that people with these kind of issues get. At my worst there was something about the fluorescent lights in the grocery store that would affect me. As soon as I walked in my legs would feel weak. The car issue could be motion sickness. People with lyme are more prone to it. It's on the symptom list.
Avatar f tn ll find lots of information. Start with the excellent Wikipedia article, which will be near the top of the google hit list. I'll bet you see a lot that sounds like what you have. You're going to have to work with your own provider on all this. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Good luck.

Avatar n tn Here is what Wikipedia has to say, and it is a daunting list that they note may be incomplete. It is quite a long list, but I don't see amoxicillin on it. To be certain, I would talk to the pharmacist.
Avatar n tn And the large majority of NGU cases respond to one or more of the antibiotics you received -- yet your problem persisted despite all of them. The main conclusion from that fact is that your problem was not due to any bacterial infection. In other words, most nonsexually acquired UTIs also would have responded to those drugs. I know it seems an STD specialist should be able to sort this out. But if you were in our STD clinic, we would have no direct answers.
Avatar m tn I told my girlfriend I had urethritis but that the cause was unkown and that the usual procedure was to be treated with antibiotics, she ended up taking 1 gr of zithro but also took cipro for another bacteria (non std) that was found by her gynecologist. For the past days I have itching and pain in my penis and pain between rectum and scrotum, also difficulty maintaining an erection and somehow erratic peeing. I have not been tested again but I am pretty sure I will have Wbc if tested.
Avatar m tn ve had an irritation on the very tip of my penis for almost a year now. Here are all the symptoms and the facts about me in a list form: Symptoms: 1) Constant irritation of Meatus (sometimes it's just a very slight discomfort but, at other times, it gets worse and looks swollen and dark red as if after some trauma). 2) Slight burning sensation on the tip 2-3 minutes after urinating (can it be due to acidity of urine?). 3) Very slight dripping after urinating.
Avatar f tn if it basically looks like a check list, thats probably what it is! The causes are too numerous to list here. http://en.wikipedia.
706949 tn?1228923298 I take it your reference article is in Wikipedia. From what I've seen there on heart subjects there is a lot of "good stuff", or so it appears. I understand too that some (much?) of what's there is from voluntary contirbuitons. That said, I recommend you discuss with the prescribing doctor and let s/he know you've see such-and-such as a point-of-reference ... it may even be a good idea to print out the material and take it with you.
