im wondering if there was infection in right hip joint how can that infection travel to my left joint even im on antibiotics. I think this is not infection but it is muscles pain / weakness. When ever i strech my legs and then walk pain starts and after some rest pain goes away. When i was on isotretinoin i was so much lethargic/fybromyalgia type symptoms, and felt very much tiredness and weakness in my inner sides of thys/legs.

I have joint pain in my knees and elbows, weakness in knees after kneeling down and trying to stand up. I have numbness that comes and goes in my feet. My chemo/raidiation treatments ended a year ago. Are these aches and pains caused by the after effects of the drugs and radiation? I also have trouble taking antibiotics or pain meds. I seems to get every side effect listed. Alcohol of any type bothers me also. I use to enjoy a glass of wine but no longer.

Hey 18761jones, I am coming off my 2nd course of accutane. The first course I was on 80 mg per day. for about 4 months before the mental side effects made me stop. I was having weird thoughts and could tell I was not myself. The second course lasted about 5 months, same dosage less side effects. IT DID CLEAR MY ACNE, better than any antibiotic or other popular or unpopular treatment. I had tried them all, diets, over-the-counter meds, etc.

Considering your symptoms of point tenderness and pain inside the mouth, your symptoms could be due to temporomandibular (TMJ) joint arthritis. This is the jaw joint and inflammation of this joint can cause pain on opening the mouth and tenderness on palpating behind the ear. Hi there, for me it started when i lose my voice (not competely) but no pain in the throat area. then area around my left jaw joint area (below the ear) starts to feel uncomfortable especially every time i moved my jaw or open my mouth wide to eat something. i dont have toothache etc. then i start to have running nose and nose block. i went to see a GP, he say there is slight infection in the ear and nose. i was on medication for 6 days.

In imaging it is mentioned that there the fluid injected in joint capsule is going out from the joint space to outside space back of joint which is leading to collapse of left hip joint. A CT study is needed further. Keep me posted if you have queries. Bye.

You may have TMJ or just some jaw sensitivity from the dental work you have had done and from having your mouth opened so wide for a long period of time while the dentist worked on your teeth. Hey everyone, I'm about 3 months into Lyme treatment. Most of my symptoms have disappeared or improved but I still have pretty bad pain in my fingers and tendons on my hands. My thumb, index, and middle finger hurt the most, along with the tendons down my thumb. Since starting antibiotics it has improved slightly but it only got so better. Currently I'm on doxy and omnicef along with many supplements (mainly for my immune system). Will different antibiotics help better?

ve been on Levaquin twice. Ugh!!! I have severe joint pain and fatigue both times. I have a really high pain tolerance and was allergic to my other options at the time, so I toughed out the 10 days both times. I don't recommend that and my doctor has promised to figure out an alternative for future infections. The first time, the serious fatigue and joint pain lasted about 3 weeks total (including the 10 days). The second time it was about 5 weeks.

I got hit at once diagnosed with both hsv-2 and prostatits. It started 2 months ago. Extreme irriation sensitive tip of penis, and burning. Got tested for stds and came back hsv-2. I then went on acyclovir for 2 weeks, pain still there. Went to urologist, said prostatits. Cipro for 2 weeks still in pain. Then switched to Levaquin for 10 days. While still on the cipro I began to feel mild muscle aches. After 4 days of Levaquin my muscle aches and joint pain increased.

Based entirely on the symptoms there is a possibility of TMJ. A CT scan of the joint would be more diagnostic. Since antibiotics help, an infective pathology has to be ruled out. I would suggest you ask your doctor for a complete blood workup including CBC, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and an ANA and whatever other tests they run for AutoImmune/Inflammatory diseases. Google "Symptoms of Vitamin B12 deficiency" and Symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency." Both cause severe joint pain.

A week and a half into taking the antibiotic I began to feel burning muscle pain as well as neck and joint pain. I also had my appetite killed with Cipro I really didn’t eat in that period. Prior to this I had none of these symptoms and when I stopped taking Cipro and started taking the bactrim the pains I had originally were reduced by a large amount. They are still there but not as vivid as when I was taking Cipro. My appetite has returned.
