Avatar f tn I grind my teeth, could that have something to do with it? I have now been on amoxicillyn with other antibiotics on and off for about 5 weeks so I don't know how I could have infection. How could I still be in this much pain? It has been exhausting.
Avatar f tn I was having servere pain in my middle back in the right side so at 1 am on the 5th I went to the er at that point was 22 weeks and 4 days they admitted me into labor and delivery where they found out the pain was due to a kidney infection they kept me on an IV with antibiotics until I was discharged this morning they sent me home with more antibiotics to take to finish fighting the infection but since I got home this morning my vagina has been kinda itchy when I itch it it hurts could that be a
Avatar n tn I feel like ordering a bunch of antibiotics and just go through a course just for the sake of it. Maybe the smell or moisture stops, or at worst nothing changes and I put myself at a little more risk by doing a 14 day course (antibiotic resistant and all). Please please please help. I'd greatly appreciate it.
1123420 tn?1350561158 I was on antibiotics for a bladder infection I didn't even know I had. They say the infection could cause more problems then the antibiotics. (I guess preterm labor is the risk with a bladder infection)I've been taking cranberry pills since the infection to try to prevent future infections. Most importantly drink plenty of fluids.
Avatar f tn When you go in for your next visit, ask for numbing shot, inform your dentist about this pain, and if possible, ask if antibiotics is gonna help. I am on a wait and see method too. If by Tues, my pain is still here, I am gonna take antibiotics. I guess if it is still painful after antibiotics, I will just opt for extraction (there goes my 1ksgd) but I guess sometimes things just happened without any explanation.
Avatar f tn Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!
Avatar n tn if it is due to taking antibiotics, try eating plain yogurt while taking the antibiotics...this will prevent a yeast infection from even begining.
Avatar f tn yes you have to go to the doctor, they will do a pelvic exam and take some swabs and if the test comes back positive for BV they will give you antibiotics, if it's yeast they will usually give you one pill called diflucan or some creams.
Avatar f tn I had to take it for Skin infections (called a Zpack but same thing) it works fine.
Avatar f tn I've had 3. I also was put on a daily antibiotic which you will prob be asked to do as well. I was on a very low 50 dose but it ask made me sick and gave my husband a yeast infection. I stopped taking it and now I have another one. I'm 38 weeks and praying I don't get a yeast infection again. I don't take baths anymore. Only use summers eve soap. Practically shower after sex.
Avatar m tn Was sent to hematology, but clinic only deals with blood cancers, which I do not have. Antibiotics work, Amoxicillin, Bactrim, etc.... but infections always returns. What physician or specialty clinic, deals with chronic infections ? So, I can discuss with my primary doctor for referral, thanks.
Avatar f tn I go to a prenatal clinic and after the herpes test was negative she said its some kind of skin infection not really saying anything else just giving me antibiotics to take for ten days and said we will see from there. Could anyone help me or give me anything on what they have experience.
Avatar f tn They will give you a course of antibiotics. For me I was given the pill. The dr will keep an eye on you. But honestly it is nothing to worry about as long as you finish your antibiotics.
Avatar f tn Is it normal for a girl to have 2 yeast infections?. one right after another?. because i took a pill and it went away but a month later i have it again. could this be serious? could it be because im taking birth controll?

Now a another infection! How can I get the healthy & normal ph balance back!
Avatar f tn I came back after having a dose of amoxicillin and also metronidazole, (the M was for a different infection but was told to take it a few days after the amoxicillin anyway) i had the root canal and a few weeks was still in pain so my dentist prescribed me another set of amoxicillin , which i took.
2038094 tn?1488227711 For the past few days, the pressure in my left lower canine has been getting worse. It has been off and on for a while, but very subtle. Pressing on the tooth makes the pressure worse. The tooth is a bit crooked, but so is the one right above it and that one does not hurt. I have no cavities and the tooth is fine via my dentist. I ended up getting some nasty desensitizing drops on my tooth. It is not helping much though.
Avatar n tn I've been on antibiotics almost staright for 3 and1/2 years. As soon as I'm off antibiotics for 2 weeks a bladder infection comes right back! I've suffered on and off for the last 10 years. 19 years ago I had kidney stones when I was pregnant. I've had scopes done and ct scans and everything shows normal. I had a cyst removed from my left ovarian 7 years ago and I had endometriosis removed off of the outside of my bladder 6 months ago!
Avatar n tn these are your antibiotics? why do you think your kitties need antibiotics? what strength are they and how much do the kitties weigh? you do know that using an antibiotic on cats can be dangerous...you have to be very sure there is an actual infection, than the culture needs to show what antib will work for that strain.
317787 tn?1473358451 Antibiotics and Chronic Liver Diseases Chronic hepatitis patients sometimes need to use antibiotics for unrelated infections and various surgical and dental procedures. Many are not sure about the possible harmful effects some antibiotics may cause their liver so I will try to provide a general guide here. The liver has very complicated functions and one of the most important is the detoxification of drugs such as antibiotics and its metabolites.
Avatar f tn Hi I looked this up, it used to be called Macrobid. It is just for bladder infections so that is good. If your doctor knows about your liver, I think this would be safe. I am not a doctor but I also have compensated cirrhosis and always worry about antibiotics. I learned that penicillin or penicillin family is the safest. In your case, it sounds like it is worth it to use it. Good luck!
Avatar f tn So I had alot of fillings on both of my front teeth back in January and just recently last Sunday I've been getting pain so I went to the dentist on Tuesday they did X-rays and did not find anything for the cause of the pain and said maybe it's from alot of the fillings so they prescribed me steroids and another Pain Reliever as it helped somewhat the pain keeps coming on and off throughout the day especially at night and in the morning it's hot and cold sensitive but now the pain is
587946 tn?1240925653 Since the surgery I have had 4 more infections, one of which my gynecologist did a culture for and it was positive. I took and antibiotic and felt better, but I constantly have a slight burning. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Could that be the issue? I have an appointment to see another urologist in May. I just dont know whats going on.
Avatar f tn You should also know that guidelines do not call for antibiotics to treat ear infections unless they are very severe and persistent -- they go away on their own, as do sinus infections, and because of the tremendous overuse of antibiotics it is not recommended they be used for this disease, again, unless it's quite severe.
Avatar f tn I've been having recurring infections for some time now (say about 6 yrs); just recently after my second C-section i asked the doctor to insert an IUD since the Pill was just making it worse, he was reluctant at first but eventually he inserted it(he personally doesn't feel comfortable using this method with young women he says, i'm 29).
Avatar n tn I am sorry that you have had to deal with this problem for soo long without a diagnosis. Have you been to many different doctors over the years, or mainly the same ones? What HAVE they told you, anything? I notice you wrote this in Jan. 2011 I hope you have had some help since then, Good luck!
Avatar n tn I just developed a staph infections it's all over my body and it just looks like I have a bunch of pimple and bites every where. I got medication for it but I was wondering how long it takes while on the medication for the symptoms to start getting better? And also how contagious is it? Like is it alright to go to work and out places and what should I do to try and not spread it to other people?
