ve had it and gone without antibiotics. It took me months to get rid of. The next time I got it, I did not want to suffer for months on end for no reason so I got antibiotics immediately. Trust me, it's not worth going without the meds, so get it checked out and get well.
During my 2nd week i had an UTI and i took antibiotics..the doctor checked me if I was pregnant they said I wasn't. again during the 3rd week I was having a cold and flu and a cough too.. O took antibiotic and syrup for more than a week I didn't know that I was already pregnant that time..
Now I am 5 weeks 4days pregnant..
Was it safe or NO that I took those antibiotics??

As far as we knew in 2011, 7 of the Borrelia species cause Lyme disease in humans, and your analogy of flu is a good one because there are different strains of flu virus and we call the resulting disease flu regardless of which bug caused it. Same with Lyme, at the moment anyway. We know there are hundreds of symptoms associated with Lyme borreliosis (hmmmm does the naming itself tell us the disease is caused by members of the genus and not just a particular species?).
It is not unsual to have a headaches, body aches or weaknes from the flu but you have pain in the back of the head and back and this is unusual and could be meningitis as a secondary infection. If you want to err on the side of caution you can go to the ER and have them check you out to be sure. I would have someone drive you.
5 heart rate 120, sent to the ER. Diag. as flu 1 week of antibiotics. Shortly after the Antibiotics were done I got sick again,
week 44 & pnemonia, put me on Antibiotics again. Thank goodness for this Forum, I reread all my posts and questions during that time, what a journey.
Please don't hesitate to go to Doc. maybe just "normal" sx. but it could always be something else.
In light of the current H1N1 epidemic, and because I'm in my sixties, I'm wondering how hard flu is on the heart. I've just recently been diagnosed with PVCs and have about 8000 a day. Since I'll be unable to get that flu vaccine , I'm concerned that the H1N1 flu might really put a strain on my heart and lungs if I'd catch it from my grandkids. What do you think?
s viral and not strep or any other bacterial infection thay requires antibiotics. Strep is common in the winter and you want to be sure you don't have an ongoing untreated bacterial infection of any kind while pregnant. I wouldn't freak out either way because everything will turn out fine but make sure It's viral and Don't just assume! Good luck!
It all started with swollen lymph nodes and a week later common flu symptoms like a sore throat and congestion. The flu symptoms went away but the lymph nodes stayed enlarged for a while. Now my lymph nodes seem to get smaller but never really go away. I started to experience pain in my armpit and left breast. 2 weeks ago I started having trouble breathing and it got to a point of where I felt like I wasn't getting any oxygen. I went and saw my doctor again.
well it was flu allright, but i think the dad taste and smell was due to excessive antibiotics effect that i was taking as the first doze were not effective so doctor increased it, but my stomach was guttering everything hence causing the effect.
Oh, so sorry, I started treatment with a cold not the flu and it was not fun,,,,on top of the other,,,, all you can do is get through it and get boxes of soft tissue. good luck, I thought mine was bacterial and got a prescription for antibiotics then was told I couldnt/ take the Z pak and i was instructed to see how it goes from the study, so it took a while of feeling crappy..... take care of yourself.
By chance were you on any antibiotics around the start of this? Those, or even just the stomahc flu itself can totally screw up your guts flora. The digestive system is a balance of good and bad bacterias, when it gets out of balance (virus, diseases, antibiotics, etc) it can cause all sorts of issues. Its good that your BM are normal. You could have a slight yeast overgrowth, which maybe can be causing a gas build up which is the pressure you feel.
Do you take probiotics?
When I took the antibiotics, my phlegm is white. After finishing the antibiotics, 2 or 3 days later, my phlegm sometimes became slightly yellowish or greenish and the white phlegm is still there. So, i took another course of antibiotics and these repeated. Overall I have took 4 course of antibiotics medication in 3 months times.
Now, my phlegm is still sometimes slightly yellowish or greenish probably in the morning after I took breakfast. Then, during the day it is white in colour.
I was recentlt diagnosed with Gonorrhea through urin test and the doctor gave me Rocephin IM and 2 Zithromax 500 mg. I was given on Wednesday Morning. But by afternoon or evening of the same day, I had diarrhea. Watery diarrhea. Thusday Morning I started to have sore throat, with mucous and body pain, chills, and headaches. All mild. It persisted through Friday and so I went to CVS to buy Mucinex for cold & flu. I took the medicine and it lowers the symptoms.
i have been sick since tuesday and have been off work. i was positive for strep and the flu and today i found out i have mono.it explains A LOT but yet it has kicked me in the butt!!!!I am literally down for the count for a looooooooooooooooooong time. i have never felt worse in my life. im so sick. so now along with beating this addiction i now have to beat this nasty virus.
t seem to be an extraordinary number. I take all kinds of other stuff – like antidepressants and antibiotics – and my treating physician doesn't seem to be concerned.
My two year old is scheduled to have her annual flu shot however she's on her 8th day of antibiotics for a cold she got last week. Can she receive the flu shot eventhough she's on medication or should I wait until she's done with her dosage.
Went to the dr , 5 days later bc I wasn’t getting better . Though Onhad the flu but said no need to test me bc I was past the Tamiflu phase . And that I was also getting a bacterial infection bc of my sinuses and ears were awful. Took z pack . Congestion is somewhat better but I am so extremely exhausted a week and a half in with major headaches , and have difficulty moving around . Was put on steroids yesterday for inner ear fluid . I just feel awful .
My doctor has prescribed Prilosec for gastritis I have developed after having the stomach flu two weeks ago. If gastritis is caused by H-Pylori, wouldn't it seem that antibiotics should be prescribed to kill off the bad bacteria?

I Got The Flu/Stomach Virus (I Think The Doctor Called It Nerovirus) Wound Up Going Into Early Labor. Thankfully I Only Dilated To A 1 When They Caught It And Stopped It. Just Be Careful And Stay Hydrated And Listen To Your body.
