if it takes a moment then your dehydrated and need fluids ASAP You should try some calamine lotion to calm your skin, and to keep your skin soft and hydrated try Aveeno. Aveeno has oatmeal in it which is very calming to the skin. Lotions with Shea butter are also great. if your lips are dry and chapped try applying a little vasline or medicated cream on them after a shower and after a meal. If you do it after a shower it locks that moisture in.

some poeple use aging lotion on their hands....the same kind one would use on face. it might get expensive though. for instance, oil of olay for wrinkles.

I just want to thank you for taking the time to respond to my "Horrible Hives on Face" post. I also thought a follow-up comment may be helpful to others with a similar problem. After a week of misery with the hives covering my face, I finally got some relief by seeing an allergist who prescribed prednisone (oral steroid) which he said was stronger than the medrol pack, along with a prescription hydrocortisone cream to be used 2x day.
