Avatar f tn Hey pixie0304. My son is 16 and has this issue. NOT anorexia. :>) I took my son to a nutritionist. Some tips: make it count when you do eat. So, go for a bang. If you are only going to take a few bites, try a protein bar. If you are going to drink, try almond milk. My son has been doing this in the morning. It upped his calories and he feels better. The other thing the nutritionist said is that drinking nutrition and calories can be easier for some.

Avatar f tn To get to the point, I've had an eating disorder for a few years, since I was almost 11, and now I'm 15. It's varied from anorexia to bulimia, but these past few years its centered around binging and purging. For the past few months, I've found blood in my vomit. Its a dark brown and it resembles coffee grounds. I've also been having sharp pains in my abdominal and chest, which usually don't last long at all. Lately, though, the chest pains have been lingering.

Avatar m tn anorexic people eat too little, belemics binge and purge, and dropping your calorie intake too low is a SIGN of anorexia, but doesn't mean u r. Eat the calories your comfortable with, but cut your portions of red meat, carbohydrates, and starches (like potatoes) in half at least! fill up on fruit, veggies, beans, drink plenty of water and cranberry juice, but not too much. everything in moderation is key! even carbs.

Avatar f tn I have had anorexia for about 6 years, and at the moment i weigh 41.2 kilos My parents and partner are concerned at the moment that i might need treatment in hospital. At the moment i feel confused about the situation and finding it hard to make up my mind, im 28 years old and am 161 cm tall. Avatar n tn The good new is since you've been struggleing with anorexia for a short period of time and you've only missed your period for 2 months it is likely that it will come back, and that there's no permanent damage done. I would go see your obgyn. She might be able to give you birth control which with eating regularly could regulate your periods. Nutrionally you need to make sure your getting all the food groups, protein, carbs, veggies, fruit, startches.
