Avatar f tn Well, I had anorexia for quite awhile so I can probably answer any questions you have.. The questions you asked in your post are kind of basic, so I can't give very detailed answers but... Yes you can have stomach pain along with many other symptoms. Anorexia and Anorexia Nervosa are actually two different things.. Anorexia is simply not eating, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't WANT to eat, just a lack of eating for whatever reason.

Avatar f tn / Though I think the first thing to do is lose any water weight you have by drinking a lot of water regularly (I've got an app on my phone which tells me how much water I should be drinking each day and that helps motivate me) also record what you eat and it's nutritional values (I also have an app for this) and don't skip breakfast! Then just do leg exercises (e.g. squats, lunges) often.

639751 tn?1223570892 When you have anorexia, you are both terrifyed of, and obsessed with food. I used to cook so much for my boyfriend, his friends, my family, etc. I would look online at recipes. If I was hungry, I would avoid any place with food. Anorexia made me miss my 8th grade year, and much of Highschool. Anorexia got me sick again in college, so that I didnt have enough energy to finish.
1310561 tn?1285863461 Are you crazy? You are obviously not smart for your age. Anorexia can cause some severe damage on your body. If you don't give your body the nutrients it needs long time effects will come. Then you'll just look really nasty and skinny, and that is not attractive for anyone. So if thats what your going for, to look good, you're just making yourself look worse. Try a diet or exercising don't put your body through that!!

918035 tn?1274644533 You sound like you are at a very low point if you think you need to continue to lose weight. I am afraid for your life. I know you don't want to tell your family but they have a right to know so they can help you. Are you religious at all? Maybe you should try prayer and programs at churches that give counseling to people with addictions. You need to talk to someone about all of this, someone needs to hold you accountable for your actions.
1479003 tn?1287429481 But what you need to focus on is not your weight, but your eating disorder. If you try to lose weight you will start the illness all over again and it will get worse the longer you have it. Ask your doctor for a referral to a therapist who works with eating disorders and start working on your issues. Since you suffer anxiety as well, the therapist may recommend some medication.
Avatar m tn Zeldox (Geodone in the US) caused rapid weight lose for me. It was great at first - lost all the ziprexa weight. In the space of a year I was a size 2 and couldn't keep weight on. So we switched to Abilify. I am still slender but not nearly as bad.
Avatar n tn You don't need to lose weight anywhere, you need to work on your self-confidence and how you feel about yourself; the problem isn't physical, it's mental. Trust me girl, I've been there! I never thought that being 20 pounds heavier would make me happier, but it has! I don't know what to tell you other than to see a counsellor, there can be some good ones that do "pro-bono" work - that is, free of charge, they are normally volunteer services.

Avatar m tn I gained weight when I was so ill, partly from eating a lot to try to combat the fatigue, but others lose weight. Lyme affects everyone differently, which is part of what makes it so hard to diagnose. There is a movie called 'Under Our Skin', a documentary made about a few Lyme patients. I'm not wild about the movie, because it goes over the top and is imo intentionally scary to get people's attention. One of the characters in particular (Mandy?

You can't keep going on your own, you need help and you need it now. First you must understand that this is not just about food. I think it started out as food being a source of comfort for you. But with the weight gain from binge eating I am certain you developed a poor body image.
