Avatar f tn If your blood tests are fine, you don't feel nauseous, sick or dizzy, and you are developing normally, I don't see the reason why you would eat more and force yourself to eat (unless you're eating below 1000 calories a day). And no, it's not anorexia. Anorexia is a mental disease. Try counting calories and keeping the intake above 1200 calories, that's perfectly enough. If struggling, try taking vitamin b complex- it makes you hungry. I hope it helped.

My last period was Dec 16th. its the 21 of Jan. I have taken numerous pregnancy tests, all of which came back negative. Could this be a part of my weight loss, poor diet, and stress?
Avatar f tn Yes you can have stomach pain along with many other symptoms. Anorexia and Anorexia Nervosa are actually two different things.. Anorexia is simply not eating, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't WANT to eat, just a lack of eating for whatever reason. Anorexia Nervosa (what people are usually talking about when they use the term Anorexia) is when you don't eat because you think you are fat, or you have a strong fear of gaining weight.

Avatar n tn I feel really defeated because I have been trying to add more protein, calories, and carbs to my diet, but with little results. I look like I have Anorexia, TB, or HIV when I don't!! What should I do? Do you even know? They say it's from rapid weight loss and malnutrition, but what should I do??
Avatar f tn Anyone with a resting heart rate over 100 should be checked by a doctor, if just over 100, say even 120, I'd say in most cases it can be done on a non-emergency scheduled basis - depending on other symptoms. In your case and in the absence of any specific knowledge about anorexia I can't make a connection, but I suspect anorexia puts stress on one's body and that could be at least part of the driver for the above normal HR.

You will need some tests like treadmill test, color Doppler, angiography, ultrasonography and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
Avatar m tn Even though low body weight is the most common cause of irregular periods, obesity (obesity effects)also causes various interruptions in your regular menstrual cycle. If you are a victim of severe emotional stress, then you can possibly experience irregular or missed periods. This is due to the reason that stress will have very serious impact on your reproductive health. So, if at all you experience severe emotional stress, you can obviously suffer with irregular periods.
