Avatar n tn My dog was vomiting about 1 month ago and lethargic. I took him to the emergency vet clinic and they did an Xray, which was inconclusive. They sent me to a specialist center to have an ultrasound done. The specialist looked at him and felt that the Xray was inconclusive due to bad technique and recommended leaving him overnight for observation. He didn't vomit, they put him on some bland food and he seemed to improve over the next week or so. Then, he began urinating in the house.

Avatar n tn I am 23 years old and I have been experiencing nausea and vomiting for about 5 years. I had my gall bladder removed last year because it was supposed to be causeing this but I am still sick. I have been tested for diabetes but I am not. I was diagnosed with depression when I was in high school and have been on and off meds ever since. Could depression be whats causing my sickness?
Avatar m tn It is not typically a gastro issue and has psychological aspects to it, where the vomiting and diarrhoea can be self induced. These are important diagnoses to be ruled out. Gastroparesisis may present with nausea vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating etc. However the symptom of diarrhea may indicate an alternative diagnosis.
989299 tn?1306708607 t have any one who understands what this is like. About the vomiting ask for a gastric emptying study for gastroparesis, and for M.E. I think an Endocrinologist can diagnose that. I had previously written much more, but since this is going to be posted in the forum, I'll leave things here. Hope to talk to you soon.
Avatar f tn Yes you can have stomach pain along with many other symptoms. Anorexia and Anorexia Nervosa are actually two different things.. Anorexia is simply not eating, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't WANT to eat, just a lack of eating for whatever reason. Anorexia Nervosa (what people are usually talking about when they use the term Anorexia) is when you don't eat because you think you are fat, or you have a strong fear of gaining weight.
Avatar f tn Anorexia (not eating) and vomiting in a dog is very serious. He should be seen by a vet within the next 12 hours ideally. This could be a vius, bacterial infection, pancreatitis, foreign object in his stomach etc.
1017480 tn?1303107824 You need to get therapy and help with this! The bile from vomiting is rotting your teeth, and once you try to stop vomiting it will be difficult as you've taught your body that vomiting is a natural process after eating. You need to take this very seriously! You're already paranoid to be doing this to yourself, so that ship has sailed. You've had several warnings that your body is deteriorating from this, what will it take for YOU to take it seriously????

Avatar f tn actually OSFED (otherwise specified feeding and eating disorder) is only a temporary diagnosis. how you feel about your body is what gives you the disorder, the behaviors the define which kind. there are two types of anorexia, restrictive and binging/purging (which doesn't always include binging). it sounds like you have anorexia nervosa b/p, but i am not a doctor and you should really see one so you can get better.
931175 tn?1244457804 s always wise to rule out any medical concerns either causing the difficulty of keeping down an average sized meal or medical complications of vomiting (i.e., low potassium, acid reflex, stomach problems, tear in esophagus, etc.) In addtition, stress, anxiety and depression could make it difficult to take in much food. In individuals with anorexia, these emotions can be shut down by eating less and less. They also could make it difficult to eat.
179856 tn?1333547362 I was just reading about Portia DeRossi's anorexia and it says when she was down to 82 pounds she "was told she was suffering from a handful of serious conditions: osteoporosis, organ failure, cirrhosis of the liver and the auto-immune disease lupus." how would anorexia cause cirrhosis does anybody know? I'm just curious because I never heard of that before and was wondering how it was related.
Avatar f tn Anorexia can lead to many complications and I hope that you are having your daughter treated for this problem, Anorexia is not due to any type of medication but a deeper underlying problem. I would certainly doubt any connection to a breast abnormality at age 11 and I think you need to seek the advice of some sort of support group that deals with anorexia. This is a dangerous condition that can lead to death if not addressed by the proper professionals and reversed as soon as possible.
Avatar n tn With a history of low body weight and 10 years on and off of vomiting, you could have an eating disorder. Even if feeling healthy and happy, vomiting takes a toll on your body. In addition, eating disorders being genetic, form of coping and culturally influenced could be past down to your children. By seeking medical attention and psychological support, you can get help to cease the vomiting behavior and the underlying issues. For you and your children, I encourage you to seek treatment.

Avatar m tn At my worst I was full for the rest of the day after one bite! I would bloat up and look pregnant after I ate. I remember vomiting 10 hours after I ate and bacon was still in my stomach. Bacon should be fully digested by around 4 hours. One of the most definitive tests in diagnosing gastroparesis is a gastric emptying study. Excerpt from Very Well Health article What Does Gastroparesis Feel Like?
3923358 tn?1358552214 the foods i love except for im not swallowing them. I chew and spit lunch, snacks, and dinner but get about 600 calories from breakfast. People say it should be labled as in eating disorder but its not bexcause you still get some calories, bitamins, and minerals(most is junk food though). So in your opinion, do you think it is?
Avatar f tn Okay, so how do you know your body was shaking 3 times while you were sleeping? It sounds like you are in a major depression and you need to seek help for that. If you are vomiting after all of this eating....do you have an eating disorder? A lot of what you are writing on here sounds very much like you have an eating disorder: fainting, vomiting after eating, shaking, a tremendous amoumnt of stress in your life ect.
Avatar f tn I am currently medically stable but have been struggling for three years with hypothyroid symptoms( constant fatigue, brain fog, cold hands, slow motor skill, anxiety and depression worse, and a couple other symptoms) despite my bmi being normal, and proper nutrition. I am currently on thyroid meds but the only result is that my tsh is very low. Other wise I am still feeling the same and some symptoms are worse.
Avatar n tn This sounds like either a pancreatitis or an ingested foreign body. Vomiting and anorexia are very serious and the fact that it has been going on for one week makes it even more serious. Call a veterinarian immediately, do not even wait until your local vet is open, go to an emergency clinic if you have to.
Avatar m tn know what to do about him, because he has like, no muscle mass left on him! He says he is experiencing aches and pains all over, and he is blind in hsi left eye, and has had surgery to move the muscle so that his eye looks the right way, because it crossed inward before. But I have heard this happens to other people as well. It is dizziness/vision blacking out, and last time the searing pain brought him to his knees. And he said last time that the pain was in his right eye.
