I do not have diabetes that I'm aware of (though I did possess horrifically awful eating habits from age 16 until recently from anorexia and bulimia), and I don't believe my immune system is compromised to my knowledge. I am a 21-year-old, healthy weight female who has been recovered from my eating disorders quite well for the most part. Aside from frequent urinary tract infections I have mild mitral valve prolapse, and was recently diagnosed with a low risk strain of HPV.

There are many listervs with migraine sufferers and epileptics mourning hair loss and topomax---and their neurologists' denial of the relationship. I located a PDR, and it does list alopecia as a "less common side effect". I decided to pursue expert neurologists at a research university 3 hours away from me for help---and a medication switch. They denied my hair loss could be due to the topomax, flatly, and recommended I use Head and Shoulders.
I was hospitalized in 2005 after years of UTIs because this particular UTI was a different bacteria and had to go on 16 days of IV antibiotics. It wiped out the infection, and I've had no more UTIs since. But, the funny thing, while I was on the IV antibiotics and for a total of one month, I was symptom free of all my pain...joint pain, muscle pain, headaches, everything!
I had the same thing with the Yaz. I was on Yasmin and switched to Yaz and promptly gained about 5 or more pounds. No problems at all with Yasmin, and I was on it for 5 or more years. I still work out like I did on Yasmin, and I've never eaten a lot, although, the Yaz does make me hungry all the time, and I can't seem to get rid of this bloating. I spot constantly and cramp. I have another friend that is the same way.

(I thought I was dying, I was 9, and didnt think they started till like 13) LOL. Anyways, Her period, she got one at 13 didnt have another one for 2 years later!! A couple of short walks each day will help to wake her up as well. Talk with your vet about her anorexia (lack of appetite) and ask if he thinks that a vitamin B12 shot would help. Vitamin B12 is an appetite stimulant and could be helpful right now. Maybe make her some homemade liver treats to encourage her to eat. Find something that she really, REALLY likes and mix it in with her own food at each meal.
If you have stress and anxiety already you shouldn't be taken something that can cause you to have even more of it along with other side effects that have cause sudden death and heart problems and even stroke and seizures. and seizures can be brough on by stress and anxiety. the doctors should try you on things like ,zoloft or celexa and there are many other drug you can try. I would hide food and not eat it, or throw food away after having two bites and cover it in soap in case my ravenous hunger got to be the best of me. Anorexia is getting 15 UTI;s in a year, and still refusing to eat. Its being on your death bed with a tube in your nose that is saving your life and pulling it out. Thank goodness I came out of that.
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
My uneducated theory is she had hairballs and started vomiting and developed cat anorexia after a few days of not feeling like eating. So her bilirubin would be due to anorexia. But that doesn't explain the blood count. The vet said all he could think of is that she got poisoned somehow. But she's an indoor cat and we live in a child-safe, clean house with no known poisons around.
I have had stomache problems for 8 years and i keep getting sicker I have a constant nausea and additional cramping I have had a GI doctor who can't figure out what is wrong im loosing hope am I krazy I keep going to the ER with pain and nausea and a few times I had a UTI which was the cause of the nausea other times i had the flu but they have put my on so much medicine( aciphex, nexium, belladonna alkaloids, phenergan, etc) and now the Doctors are saying that it is self induced i know its real

Hi I am 29 years old and having odd symptoms. I have a history of anorexia nervosa, exercised induced asthma, dizziness, fainting--most invloved with eating disorder I think... recently found out low iron saturation about a month ago but taking calcium and iron as well as vitamin c and d pills. And you know, since she does have Lyme's, one of the symptoms is loss of appetite and anorexia. She may not be showing signs physically, which is great, but it could be what is making her tummy not feel well too with the meds.
Primary physician did a RAI scan/uptake and he said I had thyroiditis. Was put on Tapazole and I wasn’t able to urinate while on it… I ended up with a UTI and some edema. I stopped taking the Tapozole. Saw endo and she put me on PTU. She said I had a multi-nodular goiter. I became pregnant and continued on PTU. I also had some complications because of preterm labor and was put in bed rest. I was also positive on Group B Step. After delivery my TSH was normal and was off PTU.
they could be anything but I know that dapsone can cause GI symptoms and cellcept is well known to cause anorexia, GI symptoms and a wasting syndrome. CMV infection can also cause this. I presume she has no abdominal process such as an abscess that could be contributing. Please give me an update as to how she is doing.
) As a bit of history, I used to get bronchitis a lot when growing up and over the past 2 years I have had pneumonia twice and a UTI as well, but when the ultrasound was done for the diagnosis of the UTI, of course I needed to have a full bladder but I kept drinking and drinking and drinking water and I felt like I was going to burst, but when they tried doing the ultrasound, apparently there was next to nothing in my bladder!
well when I had my third trimester termination (I know it sounds bad but it was really for the best) anyways I was induced and put basically into labour then put to sleep, I had concractions for 6 hours, basically to me it felt like really bad period pain that came and went and closer to my 6 hours the pain got closer together and a hot bean bag thing you put in the microwave helps, lay on one side crunched up and put the bag over the side you're not lying on, so it goes over onto your back and
Please make yourself at home and snuggle down. It will be a bit bumpy, but worth it!
Hi All! Need some suggestions/advice. I am a 54 yr old woman who has been spotting/bleeding for the past 3 1/2 years. EVERY DAY! Only went away for 5 months 2 1/2 yrs ago, then on again. Just had an endometrial biopsy at the "clinic" (charity care), and they say I have this complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia. They are telling me I need a hysterectomy, but before I can get it I need a hysteroscopy first. Telling me it is pre-cancerous, but that 40-55% is usually cancerous.
(which ailing kidneys cannot filter, and this waste ends up in the bloodstream, causing other symptoms such as lethargy, nausea, anorexia etc) And also any foods with high Phosphorus content (this isn't so vital if the Blood Phosphorus is not elevated) Now the end of the first month, the vet re-ran her bloodwork, and found her Creatinine and BUN had come down slightly. It was encouraging. The next month, they had come down to the borderline of "normal" and "elevated"....
I realise my GAD may be combined with Obssesive-Compulsive disorer, even with Borderline. And to make the situation even more complicated - I`ve suffered from anorexia for 5 years. Now I`m still having strange eating habits. My father is an alcoholic, my mother has emotional problems, my granny psychological. So I was just thinking - perhaps there is a certain change in my brain chemistry /I really lacked lots of basic nutritional elements during my anorexic period/.
She has suffered with anorexia since JR High. This will cause muscle spasms and all kinds of health problems.. But she wouldn't discuss this with me, until I forced her to.. I can put my foot down Hard, if I think one of my kids is heading for trouble. Thank God she has finally agreed to go into counseling, which I have been urging her to do for years. I finally told her I wasn't going to allow her to come out this Dec, if she didn't find some one who dealt with eating disorders to work with.
So I cannot tell if the blood starting that Sunday was the first sign of miscarriage or just the UTI itself. The UTI never amounted to anything and could not be found when cultured (possibly due to the Cipro killing it off). I am never really sure about my cycle due to being off birth control since about July. My last period was August 12-16. The day after I took the pregnancy test, I saw tiny RED flecks of blood when I wiped. My doctor told me this was normal.
