Avatar n tn 1st OM has moderate disease in its proximal segment. RCA;Dominant. spotty calcification. diffuse minor disease proximal to mid segment. PDA has moderete/ subcritical osteal disease. My BP is normal . Non diabetic. Coronary angiogram with view to PCI to Cx has been advised by a cardiologist. Should I go for it?
Avatar f tn Hi there, If you have high cholesterol, your Doctor's report will state "yes" for Heart disease. This is a legal requirement and when you apply for Life insurance, etc. you may find exclusions on your heart due to this. Your BP is normal and that is a good sign. Mild grade 1 murmur is a very common finding on an Echo and Doctors can even hear it with a stethoscope, but that is insignificant and nothing to be concerned about.
Avatar f tn I have already place the question yesterday the patient ismy father M67 result of angiography is 100%blockege in Mid LAD distle LAD retrograde filling through collaterals the blockege is between 2nd septal and 2nd Diag, Br.
Avatar f tn You cannot rule out clogged arteries without angiography, but at least you should ask for a stress test or stress echo test, as those tests may indicate coronary artery disease. You may have too low blood pressure, and it's important that you check the blood pressure now, preferably with a 24 hour monitoring. I suspect that your doctor initiated massive medication to control your serious hypertension of 200/120.
Avatar f tn My father had heart attack 2 days ago.He reached hospital after 6 hrs. Angiography findings are as below. How severe is this..Doctors asking for CABG within 5 days of attack. Pl guide.Thanks. Left main coronary artery:normal LAD :calcified.ostial to distal lad shows 95% disffused disease.ostial D1 shows 70% stenosis. Ramus:ostal ramus show 80% stenosis. Mid segment 70% stenosis. Left circumflex artery:non dominant vessel.proximal LCx show 60% stenosis. OM show 50% stenosis.
Avatar f tn I'm assuming your grandmother has had some type of cardiac stress test to yield the result of a blocked artery. I am not a physician, however a cardiac patient. The only true way to get a look at the coronary arteries is with cardiac catheterization. If she's not responding medically to treatment, angiography can map out the heart and the blockages thus giving a guide to treatment. Cardiac catheterization does have risk, however it is minimized with a good team.
Avatar n tn org/concept Their advertisements ask patients experiencing chest, heaviness in chest or breathlessness to come their Ayurveda clinic instead of going for angiography or other treatment in a hospital. They say they can reverse heart disease in six days using exercise, massage and steam baths. Is it safe to try this treatment? It spooks me since their disclaimer says 1 in 2500 patients will experience heart attacks as a side effect.
Avatar m tn Non Dominant; Proximal 30% plaque; Distal 70% disease. RCA : Dominant; Small calcific vessel; proximal 40%; mid 90% followed by stenosis; Right PDA Normal.
Avatar f tn Absolutely you have a bright future. Don't let the words "heart disease" bring you down and stress you out. My LAD is fully blocked at the top, my right artery is fully blocked half way down, and I have a failed triple bypass which lasted only 3 months. I've had 10 stents to try and rectify my situation, 5 of which blocked up again. I was only 46 when this went on and I am now 53 and in the very same situation.
Avatar m tn The doctors have prescribed some tablets for the disease and they said that the disease can be cured by tablets itself. is that so.. is it is necessary to a surgery. could you please clarify this.....
Avatar m tn My mother angiography report is given below. She is 56 years old. Your expert opinion is required: CORONARY ARTERIOGRAPHY: Left Coronary Artery: Left Main Stem: Normal Bifurcating vessel Left Circumflex Artery: Tight promimal stenosis followed by total mid occlusion. Avatar n tn Her genral codition is now stable and doctor has now advice for angiography, kindly suggest whether we should go for angiography and depending upon result of it we should go for further process ( such as angioplasty and ByPass ) as my grand mother age is 78. Please suggest.
Avatar f tn The gold standard is coronary angiography. I think you should undergo coronary angiography after the excision biopsy as you’ll also be assured if the coronary angiography comes out to be normal. I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind Regards.
Avatar f tn identify disease and aneurysms in the aorta, both in the chest and abdomen, or in other major blood vessels detect atherosclerosis disease in the carotid artery of the neck, which may limit blood flow to the brain and cause a stroke identify a small aneurysm or arteriovenous malformation inside the brain detect atherosclerotic disease that has narrowed the arteries to the legs and help prepare for endovascular intervention or surgery indicate disease in the renal artery or visualize blood
Avatar f tn im scared that when we go in for the heart cath. they are going to tell us he needs open heart surgury again. the recovery process was really hard for him.
Avatar n tn Recently I did a comprehensive medical check up and my results showed that I have a hypertensive heart disease. The doctor told me that I have a mass around my heart and suggested that I do a coronary angiography for further evaluation. I did not do the angiography as I needed another opinion. What would you advice?
Avatar f tn Am I to understand it's not normal to be asleep, or put to sleep, for the angiography? I was put on the table and talked a few seconds with the nurses then I just went to sleep and I'm not sure if an IV was attached to knock me out or not, I know I just went to sleep waiting for the process to start.
Avatar m tn Aspirin and statins have been shown to reduce the risk of heart attacks in people with coronary artery disease, even if asymptomatic. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn This community focus on blood supply to limbs, not heart. Consider reposting in heart disease community.
