angiogram

Avatar m tn Fundus fluorescein angiography showed age related macular degeneration in both eyes with right eye ? peripapillary choroidal neovascular membrane and left eye disciform scar. On subsequent observation his visual acuity was 6/18, N8 in right eye and counting finger 1 mt. in left eye. Fundus fluorescein angiography showed an illdefined peripapillary choroidal neovascular membrane. ICG was done on same day which showed a large choroidal neovascular plaque at macula.
Avatar f tn Another question doctor which is better for diagnose flourascen angiography or OCT angiography ?
Avatar m tn I completed a full ophthalmological examination (except for fluorescent angiography). Also I was examined by a neurologist, but no answers. Clarify, please: if it was an atypical migraine, then: 1. The spot would always be visible, and not only with blinking. 2. The spot would be well seen with closed eyes. 3. The spot would not be transparent. 4. A spot would be in two eyes. Are these the correct theses? p.s. in 90% of cases this spot appears with severe visual fatigue.
Avatar m tn Tomorrow something even worse can happen to my eyes, and I want to be treated by the best specialists for my specific case, if they are considered as the best, I think they also look at your patients as humans and not as a pair of unhealthy eyes (2 of the hundreds they visit everyday). Therefore I am looking for specialised center for high myopic people like me.
Avatar f tn I started seeing wavy with both eyes , in the last 2 months i have seen a lot of change with my eyes. I am 36 years old with -14D in both eyes. Any recommendations?
Avatar f tn Well, I am not a doctor but, as I have had several angiographic procedures, give you my opinion anyway. This procedure is very quick, almost painless and gives the best information about the blockages of the heart. In many cases, the blockage is repaired with a stent during the same procedure. The whole procedure will take about one hour.
Avatar n tn s optic disc. She ordered several tests prescribed clarithromycine for 2 weeks. Fluorescein angiography, which i did several days later, showed no active lesions but scars only. In 2 weeks the symptoms have subsided, but i noticed enlarged blind spots in my vision, especially in the left eye. I did Mantoux test and it came back positive (20mm), but pulmonologist I'm fine.

Avatar m tn Since my eyes issues have started in 2010 (with the Macular Degeneration), Basketball has been a big cure for my psychological status about my eyes, it would be really a hard hit for me right now not to be able to play ball anymore.
Avatar m tn How could all this happen after having these Fluorescein angiography test? a reaction to the Dye, but for a few weeks after the test?
122065 tn?1241385329 Just had an angiography of the eyes with contrast as a followup to the vitreous separation and a cotton wool patch was discovered on the left eye. Health is good - low blood pressure, no diabetes, low cholesterol, etc. Doc assured me it will go away but was concerned with what may have caused it. I am on HRT and he said this could be the culprit. Ae there any symptoms with these patches? That eye is feeling just a bit off.
Avatar m tn When it happens, it usually occurs when I have headaches, early in the morning, when my eyes are tired, or after my blood pressure has increased (for example, after exercise). I went to a retinal specialist last week and (kicks self) forgot to ask him about the shimmering. Visual acuity in my left eye is 20/100 correctable to 20/20. Visual field tests in LE were normal. A digital fundus scan and fluorescent angiography in the LE were also normal.
596871 tn?1310006757 of course the nurse called with the results and am waiting to talk to a doctor but in the interim I keep reading bad things about high levels of the homocysteine....I have pale optic discs in both eyes and am having a flourescene angiography next month....I am female..52.... 5'5'' 130 lbs... thank you...
Avatar f tn If the neuro=ophthalmologist thinks you have CSR the best test for that is a fluoroscene angiography. Head CT is not a test for CSR but almost all Neuro-ophthal want to get head CT or head MRI Have you had a fluoroscene angiography and or macular OCT. Hard to imagine you going to 6 eye doctors (if eye MD ophthalmologists) and not having those.
275184 tn?1211224813 I went and a Fluorescein Angiography done on both eyes today, because of a spot in my top right central vision of my left eye. The best way to describe the spot is if I see a closed door and look at the black line between the closed door and the door frame, the black line looks normal except for a spot where the white flows over into the black line. There was no leakage in the Fluorescein Angiography, so that is a good thing.
Avatar m tn Troponin T and Troponin I are accurate and are only released by cardiac muscle. If elevated, then they usually suggest angiography because there is a very high possibility that MI has occurred. Troponin also remains elevated for up to 14 days. Should you go for Angiography? Given the results of the test, I think the question is really "is it worth the risk not to have angiography".
Avatar n tn Actually yesterday only we got reports for CT Angiography, in which it says that her right artery is about 95% blocked. and both her left arteries are 50% and 25% blocked respectively. Docs say that CT Angiography is just an idea of heart. However, to get a complete picture, they suggest to go for regular angiography with piercing the vein in wrist and putting the wire. Is it right that the CT Angiography isnt very accurate? Is there any better test than the regular angiography also?
Avatar n tn My mon has MG since fall 2008 and was diagnosed a couple months ago in Feb 2009, although she has been taking the medicine (Mositone 4 times a day) but she sleeps all day except for eating time, her eyelids dripped and totally covering her eyes, also her neck muscle is very weak cannot support and lift her head up, she was hospitalized for a month, she is now home for a month but we don’t see any progress from her recovering. Avatar f tn For the last 3 years I’ve had 3 small blind spots in the center of my vision I’ve had many tests done to try and figure out why but nothing ever showed up. Each spot in a tiny oval around 1-2mm in size looking at my phone screen. If they are over a white line or an intersection between two contrasting edges the spots will flicker.
Avatar m tn Timolol (5mg) + Travoprost (40mcg) and an eye drop for dry eyes and takes an antioxidant soft gel capsule. 5) He sees the GS once every five months. I talk to the GS after every visit. The GS has always maintained that since my father’s Glaucoma is advanced, the OCT does not have much utility. A visual field test was done yesterday after a year and the results were not reliable.
1714117 tn?1308616466 Hi, I am 33 years old and considered to be in good health (except for recently experiencing lightheaded moments and pressure behind my eyes and in my head). I have had a CT Scan, blood work, EKG, Echo, Xrays and urine cultures and they all are normal. My blood pressure and sugar level are also normal. My family medicine doctor can't find anything, yet this pressure is is constant with feelings of being light headed on and off. Can anyone please give me insight on possible solutions/remedies?
Avatar n tn On the basis of this cardiologist advised to get CT coronary angiography. The result of the CT coronary angiography as given below: 1.Eccentric calcific in the RCA and distal LAD causing mild (20-30%) luminal narrowing. 2. No evidence of hypo perfusion or perfusion defects in the resting first pass myocardial enhancement. Now our cardiologists has advised to get catheter angiography to rule out further. Please advise me what should me my course of action.
Avatar m tn Hi, My close relative (uncle - 63 yrs old) had recently undergone collar-bone plate-removal operation, during which time, something happened because of which the supply of oxygen to brain stopped all of a sudden and he became unresponsive and has been in unconscious state since then (more than 3 weeks now). He was in ventilator for 12 days and has been in ICU since then. Rest of the body is functioning in a normal manner.
