How could all this happen after having these Fluorescein angiography test? a reaction to the Dye, but for a few weeks after the test?

My youngest daughter will be 2 years old in August. This past year we have discovered a severe red food dye allergy. foods, medicines & snacks have been a challenge...She's allergic to red dye # 40 and other names for red dye. anyone with any information or websites of how to avoid? please help!!!

MRA stand for "magnetic resonance angiography" which is just another term for MRI "magnetic resonance image". In other words you have an MRA in order to get an MRI.

The dye that is injected during Ct scan examination is iodine based and rarely causes allergic reactions. ok, so im on the LID and i realized this morning that my YAZ birth control pill is light pink, im tryin to find the ingredients on line and in the inserts and its not sayin if theres a red dye in it, i imagine there is because they're a light pink color. does anyone know?

Since you have been using the product for years check to see if any new additional ingredients have been added, this could account for your allergic reactions. Sometimes even with the same ingredients you can develop an allergy to the product, as the allergy develops in response to a repeated stimulus. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Agree about the OCT, the first one I ever had back in 2015 immediately revealed the cause of my own visual symptoms. Now I get one every six months at my ophthalmogist's office. The angiography I have done there once a year still uses the dye, or at least still did about a year ago. I don't know how many optometrist offices have an OCT scanner, but mine does and offers them on an optional basis should a patient want one.

My uncle had gone for Angiography and had a severe reaction of the dye. He is currently unconsious for more than 120 hrs and in on ventilator support. Doctors are saying his kidneys are not working so they are performing hemodylasis to which there is very minimal improvement. I'm thinking I might be allergic to Red dye #40...I ate a bunch of cotton candy before bed (I know, bad idea!)...and then I woke up in the morning with a rough itchy palate and a strange feeling around my lips. Hello, For congestive heart failure diagnosis, certain investigations are required and these include ECG, chest x-ray, echocardiography , nuclear medicine studies and maybe a coronary angiography (using dye inside of the blood vessels that can be seen using X-ray methods). You need to talk to your cardiologist and get these investigations done to rule out CHF.

I would definitely check with my doctor! I don't dye my hair any longer and I wouldn't be willing to risk it while pregnant.
