angiogram

Avatar n tn An angiogram is a very important diagnostic procedure to determine if there are any problems with blood vessels in the retina. Time is of the essence for some problems that may be treatable in the early stages - wait too long and your vision can be permanently altered if it isn't already.

19887518 tn?1486048647 Just wanted to pass along the in-accuracy of my recent Nuclear Stress Test and how it ended up being a big help totally by mistake. The test indicated a reversible defect to the apex in the inferior wall but noted GI interference with the picture. No other defects were found. The actual result (after my Angiogram ) was that the above defect was incorrect. No defect in that area was found. But….
Avatar m tn I'm sure the cost varies from one area to another, but we would have no way of knowing what the cost of this or any other medication would be for people in different locations. You would need to check the price with whoever would be dispensing that medication to you (pharmacist? clinic? doctor). Best wishes...
Avatar n tn I got one implanted in Delhi at Escorts Hospital in 2008. A single lead ICD, Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator capable of pacing and defibrillator (I am not sure if a pacemaker has only one function i.e. pacing) cost me approx Rs 450000 (USD 10000) including surgery. More complicated ones could cost double. In India you can negotiate the cost with representatives of different ICD brands and get a good deal. There are many models of ICDs with different battery life.
Avatar m tn The cost of a radio frequency ablation in the United States can run from around $2,000in facilities that only specialise in this procedure to around $3,000 elswhere. It is my understanding that medical procedures in India can be as much as 70% less than the same treatment in the US which would make this procedure the equivalent of between $140 and $210 in India if what I have read is true. I hope this helps!
Avatar m tn TVCAD I underwent this test after I had some pain in the left region of chest above heart. After this test, I started to have lots of medicines including the medicines for BPH & HBP also. But the occassional pain on exercise or exertion was there as usual. Then I stopped all medicines except medicines for BPH & HBP since last 10-11 months. Still the condition is same.
Avatar f tn Well, I am surprised a 90% blockage wasn't treated while the angiogram was being performed. This makes me wonder if the blockage is too difficult to treat with such procedures. The heart is obviously suffering from a lack of oxygen due to the troponin being positive. A bypass would easily resolve the problem, but if possible I would try to find a Doctor who can treat it using Angioplasty. With all the other arteries being normal, I think a stent will probably work wonders in your Mother.

Avatar m tn As an example, my nuclear scan showed excellent results, but I had already had an angiogram. My angiogram showed a completely blocked LAD and a blockage in my LCx. My right artery was also totally blocked halfway down. Collateral vessels played a huge role. The amount of radiation used is not that high and risks are low.
