Anastrozole dimer impurity

Common Questions and Answers about Anastrozole dimer impurity

arimidex

Avatar m tn Now endo is suggesting that in order to give him more time to grow, we give him Anastrozole. I have seen lot of posts and spent hours on the forums wherever I found mention of advanced bone age/Anastrozole/Letrozole. It seems there are quite a few posts under Pediatric Endo forum but not able to find any answers if any parents tried Anastrozole/Letrozole and what has been their experience regarding delaying bone age and side effects.
Avatar n tn Have developed a heart rhythm disturbance, shortness of breath, edema of hands and legs/feet since being on Anastrozole. How worried should I be? Should I consider discontinuation discussions with my Dr.? This discussion is related to Can Arimidex Cause Skin Lesions?.
Avatar n tn I have been on Anastrozole for year, 4 more to go (5 ys.) I have the worse Joint pain, stiffness, hurts to walk, get up from chair, I get out of bed hurting, I ache everyday. My skin and stays so dry, my hair grew back after chemo, but is lifeless, thin, etc. I do not like this Pill and want to discontinue, but my Oncologist said it is doing me more good, to keep taking it. This pill is really aging me, dry wrinkly skin, no energy, cant walk and move like I want to.
Avatar f tn im on anastrozole.
Avatar m tn The oncologist switched me to Anastrozole but the Anastrozole failed. My mom passed away at the age of 97 from omentum cancer. We didn't know she had cancer until 2 months before she passed. It's a very slow growing cancer. We had no idea and had never heard of omentum cancer before but we were later told It's a metastasis from the ovaries. My recent telehealth appointment with Sloan-Kettering the oncologist suggested exemestane Hormone blocker. Wishing your mom the best.
Avatar f tn If you've had Hashimoto's for that long, have you also been on any replacement thyroid hormone medication? If so, what medication, dosage and for how long? Have you had Free T4 and Free T3 tested to determine actual thyroid hormone levels? If so, what are their results, with reference ranges? I've read that there's a connection between breast cancer and thyroid disease, but I'm not exactly sure what it is.
Avatar f tn this is all external pain. Would the D dimer and back pain be related? Could the d dimer be elevated because of inflammation in my back and shoulder blades? I am just so worried about this...but my doctor doesn't seem to be. And he is the expert, right?
Avatar f tn So the susequent repair will not cause a high d-dimer. There is a window of 24 hours with d-dimer high for an acute aortic dissection. Hope this helps give some insight to your question.
Avatar n tn I have recently had 3 cervical fusions for degeneration in my spine (unrelated to this, I think). The blood work shows an elevated D-dimer test of 283. Now they want to do a MRI/MRA of my head to make sure there is no clot near my eyes. Is this seriously necessary? Is 283 that high??? And I had my last surgery in April (so 6 months ago), could it be slightly elevated just because of the surgery being so recent? I'm only 39 years old, very thin, active, otherwise healthy.
Avatar n tn I had blood drawn and my white blood cell count was high they did a d-dimer test on me it came back positive yet the ct scan was normal a side from a sinus infection sinusitis. The my doctor sent did a rheumatoid test that came back negative. Now she said she has another patient that had the same symptoms with the d-dimer test positive and ct scan clear. I have been on antibiotics and it is slowly working my doctor and other doctors she has talked to are researching it but cannot explain it.
Avatar f tn As of right now we are holding off on meds. He is growing but still just a little each year. He hasn’t hit a growth spurt yet but I’m hoping he does very soon. My son is 4’6” now and I worry so much that he is not going to reach anywhere near his mid parental height. How tall is your son? We have seen an endocrinologist who thinks anastrazole would be a good way for him to get closer to his potential, but I am so scared to put him onedicines just to gain a few inches.
Avatar m tn Its been 6 daya and still feel kind of like pressure in heart whih sometimes comes and goes. I had blood test and everything was ok. But had a d-dimer test and results came back 0.10 and the range was <0.45. What does this result mean. Like 3 days ago woke up and had pain inside of the legs and got in the internet and found dvt that is why had d dimer test done. But what does the result mean. I feel very fatige but all test are normal. Can anyone help?
Avatar f tn My son is on GH for GHD. Also did 2.25 yrs anastrozole since bone age was slightly ahead. Now only on GH. Age 15.5, bone age 13.5-14. Has all the puberty markers for tanner 4: pubic hair now starting a line to navel. Has to shave a couple times per week but only few hairs in beard area, voice deeper but no prominent adams apple yet. A year ago at endo appt we were told he didnt have to endure anymore testicle size checks. I assume that means they are near adult in size.
Avatar f tn During my thirteenth week I had a D Dimer test following some pain and swelling in my arm. It was slightly elevated at .67 (they told me .5 and below is the normal range). Yesterday I had another D Dimer test done following chest pain and trouble breathing. The result was 1.35 (again with .5 being considered normal). I had a clear chest X-Ray and CT as well as a clear ultrasound of my legs.
186737 tn?1269884660 t take d-dimer test at that time, but oe was run this morning and the leel was 450, and I guess under 500 is normal. because her d-dimer was under 500, the doctor at ER here thinks she could be having SVC steal syndome. But further tsting will not be dne untl mondaywhen her doctor is in. My sister has ehlers danlos syndrome, diverticulitis, small fiber neuropathy, and GI dysmotility of the really really fast variety. So, she is often dehydrate.
Avatar f tn Dear river1980, Both Femara (letrozole) and Arimidex (anastrozole) are aromatase inhibitors used in the treatment of hormone receptor positive breast cancer in post menopausal women. Aromatase inhibitors block the enzyme aromatase (found in the body's muscle, skin, breast and fat), which is used to convert androgens (hormones produced by the adrenal glands) into estrogen. In the absence of estrogen, tumors dependent on this hormone for growth will shrink.
Avatar f tn However i went bacxk and saw my gp he ran a 24hr ecg which showed tachycardia which he says is anxiety and he ran a D- Dimer blood test which came back at 0.10 which i think is negative and quite low. Mty oxogen levels are also 100 percent however, i just feel as though there is something wrong being as my shortness of breath wont go especially with exercise.
Avatar f tn When I press on one bump it is very painful. I know there must be some impurity in the pore. I have tried bacitracin, Apple Cider Vinegar, Colloidal Silver, (I apologize if that is the wrong spelling). I popped the painful bump yesterday all it did was bleed and it soon turned purple. This morning I woke up and it is purple and looks like it formed a scab. I am going to try Neosporin tonight. Does anyone know what this may be? Please advise.
Avatar n tn However at my second to last ER visit (about a month ago) for the first time I had an elevated d dimer value of .90. They continued further testing performing a CT scan of the chest and lungs and said I was not suffering from a pulmonary embolism and sent me home with the same anxiety speech. Ever since this elevated d dimer result I have been unable to continue my daily life, I feel rather depressed and anxious.
Avatar n tn Four years ago I had double vision for two weeks after it was over I needed glasses. A first in 40 years. Since then I have had a whole host of unusual symptoms, such as bladder outlet spasms, electric zapping in my legs, involuntary thumb twitches, difficulty concentrating, or finding words, etc. The worst issue is what I call "episodes" where I have a sudden bout of profound fatigue accompanied by horrible nausea with all the other symptoms.
Avatar n tn i. symptoms be a side effect of anastrozole (arimidex)? I have been taking it for 3 1/2 years, after 1 year on tamoxifen, following lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. Thanks for any feedback, Laurie .
Avatar n tn He also complains of having shortness of breath. His Fibrin D-Dimer - Dimer, Semiquantitative result was 7,731 - what does this mean?
7028106 tn?1387217145 I was diagnosed with stage 2 er+/pr+ breast cancer with lymph node involvement in November of 2011. I am 43 years of age. I had a mastectomy with lymph node dissection. I received 4 treatments of Adriamycin and Cytoxan, then 12 treatments of Taxol, followed by 33 radiation treatments. I am currently taking Anastrozole. My ob/gyn wondered why they didn't want me to have a total or partial hysterectomy. Should I do this. Am I at high risk for cancer of the ovaries or uterus?
Avatar n tn I do not have much experience with D-dimer at all. I am also 6 weeks pg and have had issues with progesterone mine is usually to low and I need intramuscular injections to help the levels stay safe for the baby. I do know that progesterone levels are checked to see how the lining of the uterus is doing and will a baby be supported. I am thinking with the high progesterone level and the D-dimer the dr is making sure the lining of the uterus does not become to thick or to thin.
Avatar f tn All my lab work came back normal except my d-dimer it was 1832. I had it repeated in a few days and it was 1799 not much of a difference. Two weeks past and I had it repeated again it dropped 1273. I then had a dentist appointment and had a tooth filled, and then went to a chiropractor and had a deep muscle massage. I then needed my thyroid testing done and asked for a repeat d-dimer and it was up to 2000. I am in the process of having Factor V, FDP,Protein S and C, MFTM(?) done.
Avatar f tn If you are pregnant, that level might just mean you are pregnant. Something I read: "Pregnancy is also a condition in which fibrin is formed and broken down and may result in an elevated D-dimer level." Why did the doctor do a d-dimer test? You really need to be advised by your doctor.
Avatar m tn I have already been diagnosed with hiatal hernia, ibs, vit d deficiency, b12 deficiency and now I tested positive for the d dimer test. What does that mean? The cardiologist I am seeing is treating me for pots, because he seems to think this could be a possibilty, I am at a loss, I just want to feel healthy, I can barely walk at times, and I am so nautious I am getting to the point where it is hard to do anything, Any clue as to what path I can go down.
