Amphetamine wellbutrin

Common Questions and Answers about Amphetamine wellbutrin

adderall

Avatar f tn It's not okay to take someone else medications but well, Vyvanse is a stimulant in the category of amphetamines. Not suggested for anxiety but can be helpful for depression. Wellbutrin could be a bit more suitable for you with less side-effects if dopamine and norepinephrine is a problem in your depression/anxiety. Depression often leads to anxiety so yeah maybe when you took Vyvanse you had euphoric effects similar to those with amphetamine ''speed''.
Avatar m tn I have found that Wellbutrin counteracts that side effect. Also, I discovered that staying on the Wellbutrin, until my system adjusted to it made the side effect go away.
674607 tn?1240017232 Effexor (low dosage), Lithium (low--600 mg), Wellbutrin (300 mg), Risperdal (low), Clonazepam (low), Dexedrine 10 mg when needed. Do you think any meds on this list can cause high blood pressure?
Avatar m tn Prozac and Paxil both significantly block the pathway for the metabolism of Adderall and all the amphetamine products. [Wellbutrin and Cymbalta can block 2D6 at their higher doses.] If you take either of these two antidepressants together with an amphetamine, just watch out. You can significantly become overdosed on the amphetamine and suffer significant side effects. Often this interaction can unpredictably occur several months later.
Avatar n tn I have been on Prozac20 mg for almost 9yrs, Wellbutrin 300 mg bid for about 5 yrs , and Aderrall 30mg SR for 2 yrs. For the last 4yrs i have experienced significant memory loss, word finding difficult, decreased concentration, night sweats and still feel depressed. The Aderall no longer works. I think the Prozac is causing the memory problems and brain fog. My providers says it's not the Prozac. I'm thinking of weaning myself off the prozac first and then the Adderall.
Avatar n tn You are not having a four day heart attack - Are you aware that Wellbutrin is derived from amphetamine? You may have some pnuemonia to take care of or you may be overloading on the wellbutrin by crushing it - - monitor yourself closely and get Pro help if you start to have other heart symptoms or if you do have an elevated temp............
Avatar f tn Taking amphetamine (i.e. Adderall, Dexedrine, Vyvanse), bupropion (WellButrin), dexfenfluramine, fenfluramine, furazolidone, guanadrel, guanethidine, or have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (e.g., phenelzine) in the last 14 days" This quote is from - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phentermine You probably should read the link. I kind of get the feeling that the two meds should not be combined. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn I am surprised that he gave you vyvanse. My dr. gave me Wellbutrin and it produced none of the side effects you mention except decreased cravings for caffeine and sweets. Our pharmacist said vyvanse is a lot like adderall; he said everyone seems to be using it who would have previously been on adderall. It is very trendy right now. But I do not think it would help with anxiety at all, and I would guess anxiety might be causing your heart rate to be rapid.
Avatar f tn I'm curious if you have diagnosed with adhd? When used properly, adhd medications are not suppose to give you this burst of energy to clean or anything like that. When that happens, it is being used as speed. Then you are taking sleep aides and Xanax to come back down? Anyway, your pupils are dialated because it is an amphetamine and your body is reacting to it. You'll have to judge whether that is worth it. Every medication has an up side and a down side.
Avatar m tn Thank you for your response. I have seen several doctors. One doctor suggested that I see a psychiatrist for anti-depression medication. I tried 3 - St. John's Wort, Wellbutrin and Pristiq - with no positive effect. One other thing I tried was Aderall - amphetamine salts - taken on those days in which I had low energy and couldn't concentrate. That definitely worked, helping me to focus, but only lasted for a few hours.
Avatar f tn helped more and has had less side effects than anyother I have been on. I have also tried zoloft, prozax, paxil, and wellbutrin xr. Anyways, I was just wondering what expeirences anyone else has had on abilify? I know it effects everyone different but.....
Avatar m tn One idea to talk to your psych or doc about is to lower your dose of Vyvanse and up your Wellbutrin to 350mg. This might help since Wellbutrin targets dopamine receptors instead of seratonin like other ssri. This might help to give you the pleasurable pep you need to get out of the "lifeless void" as I call it and ease up on the dextroamphetamine (speed) that's doing a number on your mental state and your cns state.
1861446 tn?1320445285 Hi ppl. I've been on amphetamine since I was 14. I'm 28 this month. That's half of my life. I've been working hard the past 12 months to gain funding for rehab. I'm curious if anyone else has a similar story to me and even more curious to know whether life can actually feel worth living ever again..
3050754 tn?1340206018 Quick thought cause I need to find where I saw the info. But I know that some anxiety meds can partially damp the effects of stim meds. For example, "Wellbutrin can block the pathway for Dex, only moderate, but if the person is s slow burner that moderate blockage of 2D6 could spell the difference." If you don't mind me asking, what anxiety meds are you on and I will see if that effects the stim med.
Avatar m tn Adderal is an amphetamine, but it shouldn't test as "meth" in a good drug screen. I happen to have a urine drug screen form right here, you can test "negative". Or positive for cannabinoids, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, opiates, etc. The amphetamine and meth are two different "check boxes", and you should have tested positive for amphetamine. If you have a prescription in your name that shouldn't be a problem. Best wishes.
Avatar n tn I have two sons with ADHD. The 'upper meds' 'boots' is talking about are the ones the are in the amphetamine class...extremely addictive, if abused. Ritilan, Adderal, Focalin, Daytrana are a few more in that class. He/she also added that they are an recovering addict, so I assume that they have abused, or are afraid that they will abuse these meds. Boots: I know of one that isn't an 'upper'. It's called 'Concerta'.
Avatar f tn Adderall is an amphetamine. And it's addictive much like cocaine is. Maybe someone with personal experience with cocaine could jump in? Look up 'amphetamine psychosis' and 'dopamine hypothesis of psychosis/schizophrenia' to see how extended use of amphetamine can change a person psychologically. Becoming violent is only the tip of the iceberg of everything it can cause to happen to a person emotionally.
Avatar m tn My pulse is exceptionally weak and my blood pressure is 156/90 after taking one (1) 500mg Naproxen and an amphetamine. I went and got my blood pressure checked, as well as my resting heart rate. The nurse never actually tried to feel my pulse, though. So I came home and I am very worried about how weak my pulse is. Has anybody heard weather or not taking Naproxen with an amphetamine can be harmful because it is not in the drug facts and I cannot find anything about it online either.
1203197 tn?1265555829 t have the bad side effect of any amphetamines chemical class kind of drug like Dexedrine and the likes well basically anything with dextro or levo-amphetamine. Since you have sleep apnea you should really take the Modafinil since it will help you for it since it's one of the main purpose of taking such drug but it is also a powerful cognitive enhancer so it will help you thru the day at performing tasks.
Avatar f tn None of these meds does the same thing to all people. Everyone is affected differently. Prozac is certainly not the most stimulating antidepressant; there are several that are much more stimulating, including the snris and wellbutrin. Amphetamines? They still use those? I'd be careful with that. But you're not looking for being energized, you're looking to be less depressed -- not the same thing.
Avatar m tn I have depression-like symptoms which is why my GP referred me to a psychiatrist. The symptoms include lack of motivation, moodiness, difficulty getting up in the morning, difficulty concentrating, etc. These symptoms last for one to two weeks and then go away and then I feel good/normal. I have tried Pristiq, St. John's Wort and Wellbutrin, each for an extended period of time as prescribed by the psychiatrist. None of these medications alleviated my symptoms.
