My doctor does know about the amphetamines. They are a tri-amphetamine for treatment of attention "disorder". My pulse is noticeably weaker in the neck and normal at the wrists. I have EMT training and spent 4 years in the Navy as an assistant corpsman. It is not that the nurse didn't notice anything it is that she didn't feel my pulse with her fingers. My heartbeat itself is much weaker than normal. I am healthy and very aware of changes in my body.
03 My son was recently given a drug test (urine) in the Marines which gave a positive indication for amphetamines. My son swears he has taken no drugs. There has been no previous indications or problems with drug use. He was, however, taking Nyquil at the time because of a cold. My previous experience with him was that he might have taken large doses of this medicine in excess of the manufactures recommended 24 hour dosages.

Try a search on google for schedule 1 drugs. DEA has a list of most of the drugs and their class.
However, selegiline is metabolized to products like the substance amphetamine, and several of its side effects are attributable to that. This is not the case for azilect, it is not metabolized into amphetamines. In early Parkinson's disease, Rasagaline has been shown, in clinical research trials, to be effective as monotherapy (taken alone without any other medications).
Does anyone know when the supply is supposed to catch up with the demand?? I have heard from my pharmacy that it is on manufacturer back-order -- Basically Barr (and the other 2 distributors - can't remember names right now) can not obtain the l-amphetamine salts from the company that produces it. The pharmacy speculated that the distributor is nearing is annual limit in terms of amount they can produce. I'm not sure if that is for real or not - but it sounded credible enough.
Ritalin is a very addictive drug - Schedule II stimulate, structurally and pharmacologically similar to amphetamines and cocaine and has the same dependency profile of cocaine and other stimulants. It produces amphetamine and cocaine-like reinforcing effects including increased rate of euphoria. Children medicated with Ritalin who tried cocaine later on have reported higher levels of drug dependence than those who did not use Ritalin.
I'm pretty sure that ephedra would result in a positive UA for amphetamines - pseudoephedrine & ephedrine (active ingredient in ephedra) are precursers for manufacture of amphetamine.
The product is carefully formulated based upon ancient Oriental medicine and revolutionarily tested and manufactured in Japan. I looked it up online and from the fact that it has some form of amphetamine and caffeine in it that could easily trigger mania but the best thing to do is ask the doctor who prescribed it and they could look up and find out and perhaps prescribe another medication in the same class.

Now my analysis - I premise this by saying that I'm a biochemist (who blew it all and took my skills/knowledge down the wrong path manufacturing Methamphetamine), and I've also done extensive reading and research in the DSMR to understand mental illnesses.
she uses provigil for fatigue and it was also given to her to increase her appetite cos it is NOT an amphetamine//an amphetamine will decrease ur appetite...provigil is often used for depression..and as ADs have the side effect of wt gain..provigil can as well..but not as a rule/it is not physically habit forming..but mentally anything can be habit forming i guess/a morning cup of coffee is hard to do without if u try and skip it//people who work nights often use these like no-doze..
I was wondering if you have done any research on amphetamines and their effect on neurotransmitter activity or have any advice on whether to continue taking the medication. The medication is very beneficial, but I am worried about long term damage and was wondering if adderall causes or can cause glutamate toxicity within the motor cells. I know muscle twitching is usually benign, but I am concerned about the effects adderall has on motor neuron activity possible MND.
5 second behind my actual movement I have led a very unhealthy life, using pretty much everything legal and illegal, since around 3 years quit everything illegal (amphetamines particular), only on special occassions.
so the hole of december i used it, maybe 10 times max all together. then in beginning of january with my friend i used ''speed'' or amphetamine . when i came home my body was exhausted but my mind was so awake and full of thoughts. i never experienced that feeling before, i felt very worried. the hole night i did not sleep, then in the morning i stayed in bed and had some tea to feel better.
Ritalin (methylphenidate), Dexedrine and DextroStat (dextroamphetamine or d-amphetamine), Adderall (d-amphetamine and amphetamine mixture), Desoxyn and Gradumet (methamphetamine), and Cylert (pemoline). Except for Cylert, all of these drugs have nearly identical effects and side effects. Ritalin and the amphetamines can for most purposes be considered one type of drug. The number of children being drugged has escalated several-fold in the last few years.
Youve been lied too if your told you kid needs these chemicals,, they only APPEAR to help, infact they are hurting your child. Ask your doctor what amphetamines do to the brains of lab animals. Amphetamines control is temporary, but its damage will be felt for years to come, especially in the babies. They are not safe, and to deny knowing that is to live in a hole in the ground.
Yes GS-9190 is a PI that Gilead has in phase 2 clinical trials. I have heard of someone in Florida who has been approved to join the study. He has advanced liver disease so time is of the essence for him. Gilead is a SF Bay Area bio company who does R&D and manufactures Hepatitis drugs, HIV treatment and they are working on anti-fibrosis drugs also. Link to clinical trial: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00743795?
The way to get it in the body is to take the amino acid phenalyanine, which is a stimulant natural to the body. PEA is mostly used as a precursor to manufacture amphetamines and other psychotropic drugs. So do your homework before using yourself as a guinea pig. Lots of info out there, very few facts.
I should grab my formulary... It lists Adderal as a tier 2 drug, with a higher co-pay; other amphetamine salt drugs (generics) are tier 1, and it doesn't list needing a prior authorization. The side effects look a lot worse than those listed for Provigil. I wonder how long the patent on Provigil lasts, and when there will be a generic form? Does anyone else have trouble getting medications that they need or that are really helpful in improving your quality of life?
MO So hard to believe what some will do to their unborn child or born child for that matter. My ex got busted manufacturing in the shed out back his house while he had 4 little ones in the house (1 was mine there for his weekend visit) and there was meth inside the house as well. He got possession, manufacturing, and 4 counts of endangering the welfare of a child......he only had to have supervised visitation for about a month and he only served 60 days of work release in the county jail.
Part of the problem is that it's still classed as a food supplement so theres very little manufacturers standardisation. I've seen cheap 'cowboy' versions that contain very little 5HTP with no mention of it's source. Best results are seen with relatively high doses, manufactured by reputable companies that have obtained it from a certified source. Expensive is usually best unfortunately.
What is Crack? I am confused!! Isn't CRACK that cheap amphetamine thingie that was featured in some documentaries? Isn't crack the one that gets manufactured in kitchens then blows the hapless cook? Isnt crack called poor man's cocaine? I know this one is really evil. I saw this on tv, never tried it. But the one I tried was 'purified' cocaine,or so I was told. The free-basing I knew from my limited experience is waaay too pricey!
Users who take Ecstasy at raves risk exhaustion and dehydration from a combination of the drug and non-stop dancing, and users have died from heat stroke. Ecstasy is derived from methamphetamine and amphetamine, and belongs to a class of drugs known as designer drugs. Designer drugs, especially Ecstasy, are often associated with "raves," all-night underground parties with techno music and extensive drug use. Raves are often frequented by teens and college students.
Concerta is a amphetamine based drug, basically speed. I adopted a boy, where his bio-logical father was labeled Schizophrenic, and his bio had alcohol and pharmaceutical drug dependencies. The Pediatrician issued a prescription of Concerta to him, and it has a "black box" warning by the FDA, specifically stating do not administer this to patients with alcohol or drug abuse history, and it is "not" a cure for ADHD.
When we consume phenylalanine in food, it gets converted in dopamine (neurotransmitter supposedly responsible for attention span, decision-making, etc.) and phenylethylamine (the body's natural, amphetamine). It also has a role in the production of norephinephrine (also linked to attention and motivation). It is considered an essential (can only be gotten through food) amino acid in children but not adults. Why? Because children's bodies cannot manufacture it from other amino acids. Adults can.
I like that it affects dopamine AND epinephrine, like amphetamines, where Strattera only effects epinepherine (but I have to say, it's only been one day of a good feeling, but I think I now like where the Strattera is going). All the forums for Well say it's a downer or a very unhuman feeling, but people have said the latter about amphetamines.
