I have two sons with ADHD. The 'upper meds' 'boots' is talking about are the ones the are in the amphetamine class...extremely addictive, if abused. Ritilan, Adderal, Focalin, Daytrana are a few more in that class. He/she also added that they are an recovering addict, so I assume that they have abused, or are afraid that they will abuse these meds. Boots: I know of one that isn't an 'upper'. It's called 'Concerta'.
The symptoms include lack of motivation, moodiness, difficulty getting up in the morning, difficulty concentrating, etc. These symptoms last for one to two weeks and then go away and then I feel good/normal.
I have tried Pristiq, St. John's Wort and Wellbutrin, each for an extended period of time as prescribed by the psychiatrist. None of these medications alleviated my symptoms.
The psychiatrist then prescribed Adderall (amphetamine salts). I do respond to Adderall.
I do have a wisdom tooth coming through which may be the cause this time? After her results came in I started taking the Multivitamin which has Iron in it and shortly after I started my period (according to my My Days app on my phone I was 5 days late for my period and am calculated on a 91 day cycle).
I believe I'm outside the normal range of time after stopping Depo Provera to have gotten my periods back.
s not okay to take someone else medications but well, Vyvanse is a stimulant in the category of amphetamines. Not suggested for anxiety but can be helpful for depression.
Wellbutrin could be a bit more suitable for you with less side-effects if dopamine and norepinephrine is a problem in your depression/anxiety. Depression often leads to anxiety so yeah maybe when you took Vyvanse you had euphoric effects similar to those with amphetamine ''speed''.
I am healthy and very aware of changes in my body. I have not taken the Naproxen today, nor have I taken amphetamine today, because this is frightening for me. I am going to have to see a new physician, because my current physician is an obvious pill pusher and doesn't take his job seriously. Bicycle seats can cause nerve damage in men. Look into seats that are improved to avoid this problem or avoid cycling.

pdocs differ, 30% out of them use antipsychotics only for BP which is wrong except when in need only i.e. when psychosis are present.
Has anyone had experiences with rapid cycling, with cycles that last hours or days? I was extremely hyper and had racing thoughts and was elated the other day, then I felt ok but lazy for a few days, then depressed for a couple of days and super tired, and now I am extremely irritable and I keep getting mad and yelling at people and just about everything.
For me getting off Wellbutrin and switching to trazodone helped me sleep and slowed down the cycling. I know know that antidepressants can cause rapid cycling in people bipolar.
I am now working part time. The meds are tough sometimes, crazy is tougher. I am doing pretty well considering where I was at. I am not sure if I will ever be able to handle full time but I am glad to have my part-time job. I am no longer frantic about what mood I'll be in.
Lithium is a first line mood stabilizer and Zyprexa has a good effect in this area but for me Lamictal had the best effect on rapid cycling but as each person responds differently to each medication speak to your psychiatrist about available options. Keep a mood tracker here as well and print out the results for them to assist with them knowing exactly what is going on.

However from what I have read, it will show up in the initial screening as a general amphetamine. After a positive initial screening, the sample will be further tested using a different methodology that will specify the type of amphetamine. Of course, if you have taken your generic version of adderall after the concerta for a couple of days. That should be what shows up.
But, I would think that as long as you have the prescription for the adderall, you should be ok.
When I feel overactive or agitated I usual try to do something that will accomplish something and also calm me down like clean the house or organize things. Also I sometimes take a long walk. If I feel upset in general I call other people I know. Sometimes support groups have been of help. However although this happens from time to time I did know if I felt that way all the time and it didn't stop the best thing was to let my psychiatrist know.
