Amphetamine and phentermine

Common Questions and Answers about Amphetamine and phentermine

I just wanted to copy this info for you. You may want to google phentermine addiction, it is addictive and does cause withdrawal, especially as tolerance builds. Phentermine can be addictive. People can develop a strong desire (cravings) to take the drug, and a need to increase their dosages to achieve the effects they want. They also avoid stopping the drug because every time they try to stop, they go into withdrawal.
I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding the use of Phentermine along with HCG? I am going to a clinic in Illinois on Wednesday where they prescribe Phentermine and offer HCG and vitamin B12 injections as well. Also, are HCG injections supposed to be given on a daily or weekly basis? Thanks!!!
Im getting the B-12 and lipo shots as well. Maybe I will still get results if I stop taking the phentermine and stick to the shots. Does anyone have any feedback or advice.
The 500 calorie diet keeps your body from getting vitamin/mineral deficient by providing the tissue repairing vitamins/minerals that you need. Also, phentermine is an amphetamine which can be addictive and has some pretty nasty possible side effects. Please do your research before ever taking this medication!
You are addicted to to types of amphetamine drugs usually prescribed for obesity, the first Phentermine or Ionamin with a usual dose of 1 30mg capsule or the 37.5 mg capsule, You are taking this medication in the morning and may have been first prescribed for you in the treatment of obesity, How long have you been on it and how many per day? The next drug Didrex or Benzphetamine is also an anti obesity drug. This drug is anorexic in action.
Ephedrine is not an amphetamine. It does however act in the same way and Yes you can react to it as you have and Yes it is addicting. Do an interent search on ephedrine side effects, You will see all of the bad things that can happen to you because of its use, even death.
i can only take in 1300 cals a day and i have to eat 5x a day. The thing is everything smells wierd and looks nasty and cant really eat. Its my 3rd day on it and iv been living on granola bars and been having about 6 to 7 hundered calories a day. I hope this works. wish me luck!!!!
I have been taking phentermine on and off for almost 15 years, I have never needed it for weight loss only the amazing energy it gave me, I know it is a little late to decide they probably are doing my health no good at all but hey, better late than never. I have tried hundreds of times to stop taking them but the chronic fatigue I get keeps me going back.
I actually did some searching and found something somewhere that said Phentermine blocks some kind of nutrients from being absorbed in the intestines that causes a reaction in the skin. I am thinking that is what this is, and it said the only treatment for it is to stop taking Phentermine. Have you heard anything about that?
sorry i dont know of these, B12 are shots but as i am needle phobic these are something i wont be using, i dont do needles, lol, Phentermine, is an appetite suppressant of the amphetamine and phenethylamine class. It is approved as an appetite suppressant to help reduce weight in obese patients when used short-term and combined with exercise, diet, and behavioral modification.
T drink coffee when taking this! The caffeine just isn't necessary and made me way too jittery. Phentermine is basically an amphetamine-like drug with the side effect of suppressing the appetite. I worry about the side effects, but have not read anywhere of any cases of any damage or death caused from proper use of this medication. I did take it 10 years ago with the Fen/phen combo just before the Fenfluramine part was pulled from the market. I lost 40 pounds then. So....
I really want to try the B12 and phentermine and I actually have an appt in one month for my first injection, but I guess I want to know if there are any scary side affects. I have read a lot here and everything seems so positive, but I keep thinking - if it sounds too good to be true it probably is... Is there anything I should worry about? Is it dangerous, addictive, what happens when you reach your goal weight and stop getting the shot/pill? Is it safe for your heart, lungs, etc?
The only purpose this drug has is to cut your appetite, and it is not worth the risk to your kidneys and central nervous system to take it and you are not losing weight. I've taken phentermine before, for several years and every time I stopped taking it, I gained the weight back, plus I inherited other issues like depression, intense hunger and depleted energy supplies. I suggest trying a more natural weight loss supplement.
The thing is I'm not doing them to get high. Now I go through withdrawels when I try and stop. They don't treat amphetamine addiction in Va. Bch. I swear I don't know what to do. I can't see the doctor for 1 week. The only time I can control it is with the Xanax that REALLY I don't abuse. but I don't want to get hooked to that. I'M GOING CRAZY. Do you ever feel like you don't want to exist anymore? Well I do.
I had a gastric bypass in 2001 and lost 250 pounds, then my husband and I started fertility treatments and it made me gain 85 pounds back that I could not get rid of even only eating 4 oz of food at a time. On Valentine's day I started the Phentermine and B12 shots and after 1 week I had lost 9 pounds and my energy was outrageous.
A doctor prescribed me a combo of Redotex in the morning and 30mg Phentermine HCl at lunch (for weight loss). Is it dangerous? These are the active ingredients of Redotex: o Tri iodothyronine (Triyodotironina) 75 mcg. A hormone used to increase the metabolic rate of tissues. o Norpseudoephedrine (Clorhidrato de D Norseudoefedrina) 50 mg. An amphetamine like drug. o Atropine sulfate (Sulfato de Atropina) 0.36 mg. Used as a respiratory and circulatory stimulant. o Aloin (Aloina) 16.2 mg.
I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.
DO NOT TAKE PROZAC AND PHENTERMINE TOGETHER!!! I read in a medical journal that prozac and phentermine taken together cause permanent brain changes, similar to those people taking the street drug known as extasy, e, x, MDMA, or whatever you want to call it. I take prozac and would love to lose weight and had considered taking the phentermine, but when I read that article, I decided permanent brain changes were worse than the extra 20 pounds of fat I had hauling around behind me.
I assume you mean phentermine. It is a low grade amphetamine. It should not be used by paople with high blood pressure, heart or thyroid problems etc; Mostly it is safe. I used it for 6 wks and found I couldn't sleep through the night anymore. But everyone is different...
I take the Herbal equivilants in the Effedrine and Aspirin Cases...Ma Huang (Ephedra) and White Willow Bark (Aspirin). I have been taking this for a month before I found out that it is not to be taken with an MAO inhibitor. I essentially have two questions to ask: 1)Is Zyban a MAO inhibitor? If so: 2)How does the Ephedra and Bupropion HCL interact with each other? Thank you.
because of a stupid decision I made and listened to my dr to take medication [Phentermine; which is an amphetamine] to lose weight. Sometimes even with prescription medication, it can cause major health problems later in life - the decision is yours and yours alone, all we can do is to share what we know.
I think they can't think of anything better and so continue to prescribe it. As with any other amphetamine type drug, phentermine can be addictive and cause side effects. The b-12 can help some with weight loss, but by itself I'm not sure how effective it is. It does wonders for energy, though. Hcg with b-12 on the other hand, can be the answer to your problem.

Thanks laura1967, Actually, I had a terrible visit with my endo. They prescribed me phentermine (same class as amphetamine) for weight loss. Told me they don't treat symptoms (which is what they're doing for the weight...just treating THAT symptom!) I realize that I received terrible care and am waiting for someone to get in touch with me from the office. I was hoping to get a bunch of tests run (at least rechecking my levels plus FT3!) but she was not interested in that at ALL.
It worked great for me loosing weight. But, I do have 2 friends that mixed alcohol and phentermine and it was NOT a pretty site. It can increase some of the side effects of phentermine. It makes you have the ability to drink a lot more than you are used to, and it actually made both of my friends crazy in behavior.
hopefully u have none left and no access to anymore..cut ur ties...phentermine would be similar to cocaine is an amphetamine and affects the brain in a very similar way...not supposedly physically addicting but the fatigue and depression that follows is often compared to narcotic wd...there is an article in my journal on drugs/supps to help wd from stimulants...tyrosine is very good for this type of wd..good luck and wanna had a good point..what gives this time around?
I know it's difficult at first, but i always say it's the price we have to pay for a short time to get better. Don't give in, like madison and cathy said, get back up and be strong. What is the longest time you have stayed off them before. P.S. Nice to see you posting madisonjsmom:) We are still proud of you.
