So i had 2 uti during this pregnancy(which is my first) then the doctor gave me amoxicillin(250g) to take 1 pill everyday for the reminder of the pregnancy and im due untill May 27th... And i have been taking the 1 pill everyday since he gave me the prescription which was in January but idk i feel like its too much medicine ... Anyone else had to take medicine during the whole pregnancy?

Hi, the condition strongly suggests angioedema which is due to hypersensitivity reaction (type 1). Drugs like amoxicillin, certain painkillers like aspirin, ibuprofen, certain garments, environmental allergen and certain food (fish, mushroom, peanuts, soy etc) can cause such reaction.
In your case, the allergic reactions seems to be secondary to ibuprofen and you should avoid further exposure.
My St. Bernard was diagnosed with Lyme Disease Monday evening. She was limping for a few days and then it stopped and came back. We gave her an aspirin and it made her very sick, so we took her to vet and the the vet did a blood test that came back positive for Lyme. He gave us Amoxacilin and a med to settle her stomach. My problem is this, She is limping much worse today then she was on Monday. She is eating but not as much previous to Lyme.
yes the antibiotics will help with the abscess however afterward the decaying tooth will still need to be removed....have you tried the links on this forum for help with Vet bills?

The dose for amoxicillin is 62.5 mg per cat twice per day. Amoxicillin is a form of penicillin. A 20 pound cat is really equivalent to two average sized cats so I think that you could safely increase the dose to 75mg twice daily. 50mg of penicillin twice daily is under dosing for any cat. Please try and actually weigh him to be sure or his most recent weight since he may have lost weight since the incident.
He probably has not defecated as yet since he is not consuming much food.
my cousin is going through a custody battle with his wife and she keeps taking her 4 year old daughter to different doctors to get amoxicillin and shes keeps the medicine she never gives it to the child she tells us that its been spilled and she is throwing a fit all day today to take her to the doctor claims the child has a earache she's freakin out wanting amoxicillin
I would not recommend taking any outdated medication. You can check with a pharmacist about the amoxicillin. Secondly, you can ask your physician for samples if possible or ask if she or he can enroll you in a free medication program so that you are able to get the medication to take.

How long does it take to get this anti-biotic out of your system? It really sent me into a anxiety tailspin. I have been a little stressed lately, but wow. My Dr. says my anxiety and insomnia has nothing to do with the anti-biotic... but after reading some of these other posts, I can't help but feel that there is a lot of missing information out there about possible side effects. Has anyone else experienced anything like this lately?

So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I was told by a doctor I might have a chest infection so she put me on 500mg of amoxicillin three times a day. I'm also on diazepam for muscle spasms and anxiety. I cannot remember is she said it was ok go take them both together.
If ok to take together this will put my mind at rest and stop me panicing.

t have insurance and/or the money to go get it checked out. then i got sick with allergies and cold symptoms so my sister took me to carenow where i got doxycycline hyclate 100mg 2x a day for 10 days to clear up my sinus infection. right after i stopped taking the doxycycline i went to the dentist for a bad cavitity on my back tooth and got amoxicillin 500mg 3x a day for 10 days. it is possible that those meds not only cleared up what they were prescribed for but the std as well?
Started off almost two months ago with light headed and dizzy. Doc said you have allergies that aren't draining. Gave me prednisone and flonase, to no avail. Doc said if prednisone doesn't work must be infection. Prescribed amoxicillin. Took amoxicillin for the course and started draining like crazy right at end of medication course. Drained and blew my nose every 10 minutes and even more in times of sweat and heat.

I'm taking amoxicillin and my cheeks are very red, like i'm sunburnt, and very hot. It's only on my cheeks no where else on my face or body. I've been givien this same medicine many times and have never had this reaction, The only other thing I can think about is I was given a corticosteroid shot and nasal spray called Fluticasone. It's not shown as a side effect of the nasal spray, but could it be from one of these other medicines. Should I call my pharmacist or doctor?
