Advil is ok. Tylenol is preferred over Advil, however Advil is ok if you are mid pregnancy. Even my doctor confirmed this with me. There's a lot of people are plain right told no to Advil, only because of it's issues in the 3rd trimester. My Dr said if you do find Tylenol isn't working as well, and you feel the need to take Advil instead, try rotating between them. i.e.

advil is a minor anti inflammatory I have never heard of it prescribed for this before but it could help a little I suppose more widely prescribed for GM are some of the big anti inflammatories - particularly prednisone or methotrexate I did take Naproxen for some time, (months at a pretty high dose - it really attacks your stomach lining though so I went off), which I guess is a step up from advil, and is a non steroidal anti inflammatory (NSAID), can't say if it helped with the inflamma

I was prescribed amoxicillin and I got better. Then, when I had just one dose left of the amoxicillin, I started to get sick again and they gave me the zpack (I've had problems before with recurrent strep). You have a right to all prior records, so find a new dentist, have their office send the x-rays and other documentation over (this will save you the x-ray fee!). Call the doctor and speak with HIM or HER directly and see if they agree with the insanity of the other doc. FIrst off, you should be on a much stronger Antibiotic and secondly, depending on your past experience with pain medications, you need at LEAST Tylenol with Codeine and a topical numbing gel. I went to a doctor and he diagnosed me with strep throat or a viral infection. I took some Advil and one amoxicillin per day and the symptoms seem to be gone. But today, my nose suddenly bled and the tingling feeling in my nose is back.

I would not recommend taking any outdated medication. You can check with a pharmacist about the amoxicillin. Secondly, you can ask your physician for samples if possible or ask if she or he can enroll you in a free medication program so that you are able to get the medication to take. Good Luck!

How long does it take to get this anti-biotic out of your system? It really sent me into a anxiety tailspin. I have been a little stressed lately, but wow. My Dr. says my anxiety and insomnia has nothing to do with the anti-biotic... but after reading some of these other posts, I can't help but feel that there is a lot of missing information out there about possible side effects. Has anyone else experienced anything like this lately?

They did a re-treatment on the tooth. My dentist had put on me on pain meds and amoxicillin. two days after the retreatment I was in horrible pain. I went back to the endo to have an I&D done. My face was very swollen for two days. They then switched my meds to clindamycin(2 rounds) The swelling has gone away mostly but there is still a little swollen area near the tooth where the I&D was done. Every day it is an improvement but it still hurts.

So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. Hello, I was told by a doctor I might have a chest infection so she put me on 500mg of amoxicillin three times a day. I'm also on diazepam for muscle spasms and anxiety. I cannot remember is she said it was ok go take them both together. If ok to take together this will put my mind at rest and stop me panicing.
