anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.

ve been suffering some mild insomnia, excess sweating, but perhaps most off putting is the lack of libido and sexual response!! I realise these are listed side effects, but will these resolve themselves or are they something I'm simply stuck with if I chose to continue with the medication? I was suffering from severe insomnia last month. I tried sleeping pills (Rhovane/Immovane, Benzodiazapine) and they were baaaddddd. Extremely addictive with anxiety and agitation during the day. I stopped them cold turkey and suffered a week or more of rebound insomnia and withdrawal. With that behind me my GP asked me if I wanted to try Celexa; he wasn't sure if I was showing signs of depression but thought it might help with the anxiety that was feeding my insomnia.
I take melatonin, not nightly, but maybe two or three or four nights a week. I have tried to read up on side effects and have not found much information at all. I don't notice any side effects, myself.
Since melatonin is a short-acting drug, and the therapeutic effects of it do not seem to last long at all, I'm thinking that any side effects would not last longer than a few hours or a day or two -- at most -- after you discontinued using it.

I was given a prescription of more darvocet and amoxicillin 500mg. well the amoxicillin gave me bad side effects, nausea, vomitting, diarehea. so i stopped taking them. i notified the dentist 10/9/06 of the amoxicillin side effects i was then told i probably didn't need them and not to worry about taking another antibiotic. on 10/10/06 i awoke to find my face on the left side swollen and painful.
