my 7 month old is on amoxicillin for an ear infection. I just gave him 2 teaspoons instead of the 1 teaspoon as instructed.

i def know what they are. I have been giving him amoxicillin..which has been prescribed to him before. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON WHAT COULD THIS BE? He means the WORLD to me and PLEASE give me any info that you think could help.

His ultrasoudn was normal. He was put on Amoxicillin, urso diol, baytril, denamarin and IV fluids. After two days he strted to eat and was able to go home. Since them he has improved clinically- is eating agin, and acting normal. He is still on the meds but was taken off the IV today. His billirubin has droped to 4.5 but his ALK, ALT, and AST continue to rise. The second set of tests the ALK was 754, now it is 984; ALT was 785, now it is 1231 and the AST was 306 now it is 361.
Antibiotics should be used with caution in pregnant dogs as they cross the placental barrier and can affect the puppies development or worse. I have heard Baytril and Tetracycline should not be given. Have heard of Amoxicillin being used. I have only had to use antibiotics on a couple of my females post-whelping.
Depends on what you are treating and maybe no treatment is necessary.

I've never heard of trazodone's being prescribed for dogs. And yes, 50mg for a shih-tzu is a toxic dose. It is pure luck that the dog did not die within the first 24 hours. A trazodone overdose can cause death by heart arrhythmia. By all means, take the dog to the vet. And please don't ever, ever again give your dog any medication that was not prescribed or approved by a veterinarian. Hopefully, your shih-tzu is going to live, but she very easily could have died.
No. Amoxicillin (even in large doses) will not cause a termination of pregnancy. It's a pregnancy category B drug certified by the US FDA which means it's a safe best to take during pregnancy. In higher doses, it may cause some side effects such as diarrhea etc.

Anyway, one of my dogs had a few episodes of intermittent vomiting and diarrhea for the past 5 days - her stool was jelly like and one had traces of blood, and her vomit is usually gloopy and yellowish and at one time, had a tinge of pink / red specks in it, and recently it appeared foamy.
I understand that dogs with Cushings will start to urinate constantly and drink excessively, pant, lethargy, hair loss and more. She had one "mistake" on our floors and the vet put her on Amoxicillin. Would she be able to stay on an antibiotic for the rest of her good days?
I've chosen not to medicate her with the Cushings meds as my vet told me the tests and meds would be quite costly and there are risky side effects. I am unable to afford such options.

In my opinion, it can be okay to use Metacam with certain holistic remedies. You don't want to use it with something that is too similar to it, like willow bark, because that might be like giving an overdose of the same thing.
So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?
