So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I'm an idiot. This bottle is left over from my last bout 3 years ago. The pharmacy online sent me 5 times the amount I ordered (500 pills, 500 mg). So, I'm taking 3 per day for 10 days.

I have had episodes of tachycardia, of unknown cause, for the past ten years or so. I am now down with an infection which produces much phlegm. I am taking amoxicillin 500 mg for it. I also have started taking honey for it's infection fighting qualities. However, my tachycardia episodes have got worse. Any suggestions as to the cause? Could it be the honey or the antibiotic? Thanks.
*Augmentin -- Standard Augmentin cannot exceed three tablets daily due to the clavulanate, thus is given with amoxicillin, so that the total dose of the amoxicillin component is as listed above for amoxicillin. This combination can be effective when Bb beta lactamase is felt to be significant.

I had a STD screen for all testable stds on 4/11 that were negative. I also took Amoxicillin 500 mg BID 7 days for tonsillitis. I didn't have a sore throat, but had white spots in the throat. On 4/18 I had a tonsillectomy and adenoids removed. The biopsy came back negative, but showed chronic infection. I took Amoxicillin 1200mg liquid Bid for 10 days. It’s clarithromycin 500, amoxicillin 500 mg, Lansaprozal 30 mg twice a day for about 10 days. I noticed a huge difference. People are not reacting to me as much. It hasn’t gone away completely but it’s been reduced to about 50% and I just started taking it 2 days ago. About 2 weeks ago i finished a 10 supply of Amoxicillin, 875mg every 12 hours prescribed for a sinus infection. By the last day I had terrible abdominal cramping. I have also started consuming honey, as I heard it is good for infections. However, my tachycardia episodes have become more severe. Could the honey or the antibiotic have anything to do with it?
