Chlamydia is virtually never transmitted by oral sex, but even if it were, amoxicicllin is not reliably effective. There may have been risk for gonorrhea, but amoxicillin is not active against about half of all gonorrhea strains.
The risk of any STD from a single episode of oral sex is very low -- higher with some partners than others, but always low, and I would not have prescribed any antibiotic at all.

The problem with your taking amoxicillin at this time is that a substantial portion of gonorrhea are now resistant to amoxicillin and if you were going to take the amoxicillin you would need to take at least 3 grams, along with a second medication to boost the antibiotic levels in your blood. As I said before, I do not recommend taking amoxicillin.

I took some anti-inflammatory meds along and a pill of amoxicillin. The burning immediately went a way almost immediately(couple hours), Could this be an Std of some sort. I know it's not smart take meds without being evaluated first.
Amoxicillin is not an optimal antibiotic for most STDs an is no longer the recommeded therapy for any STD. Although many strains of gonorrhea are now resistant to amoxicillin I would anticipate that about 70-75% of gonorrhea would be cured by the amoxicillin you were prescribed as would most chlamydial infections. This dose you were prescribed would also certainly prevent syphilis.

Nonetheless, persons without symptoms can have gonorrhea and tests can be done in persons who do not have discharge. Further, the medicine the he gave you, amoxicillin, has not been recommended for gonorrhea treatment for over 25 years. Currently recommended therapy for gonorrhea is a single injection of ceftriaxone.
Your problem does not sound like an STI but again, I suggest you see another doctor.
But in that period she was taking amoxicillin, because she was sick. Can amoxicillin protect her against the infection? it is possible that i spread her the possible disease?

OK, and there is no way the 3 doses of 500mg amoxicillin spread out over 24 hours could have cured gonorrhea if I had it? So the test this week should be accurate that I never had it at all (if negative)?
So that evening, I took 1000 mg amoxicillin. A couple of days after the occurance my friend (in medical school) gave me 3 Amoxicillin pills of 500mg. I took two one day and then another day took one. At about a week after exposure,, my friend gave me more of the same Amoxicillin 500mg pills. I took them every 8 hours until I ran out. I had 7 pills.

As for the effect of your amoxicillin on your tests, you are correct, in some people amoxicillin will cure gonorrhea or make tests negative. If you had gonorrhea and the amoxicillin were having an effect however it would most likely not only make your test negative but cure your infection as well, hence if your tests are negative, I would not worry further about oral gonorrhea.
Statistically, your sore throat is more likely to be a viral infection than anything else.
You may get gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes. HIV has not been known to be contracted through oral sex. If there weren't any sores or ulcers present, the likelihood of both syphilis and herpes are very very low but still possible. You can get treated or tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia within three to five days post exposure. Syphilis can be within four to six weeks post exposure or sooner if physical primary stage symptom occurs.
Amoxicillin indeed could make the gonorrhea and chlamydia tests negative -- but only becuase it would cure them, not simply suppress the test result. In other words, a negative urine test result following amoxicillin is reliable evidence you didn't have either infection at the time of the test. It cannot distinguish between having never been infected versus infected and cured.
I had unprotected oral sex with a CSW yesterday evening. I started on course of amoxicillin for my sinus problems from yesterday morning. If I had contracted gonorrhea or chlamydia from this woman , would the antibiotic help ?. I mean since the bacteria would be incubating now, wouldn't amoxicillin prevent the infection ?.

okay so I have had chlamydia a few years ago and had it cured, earlier a few months ago i started having symptoms like i had gotten it again. however i don't have insurance and/or the money to go get it checked out. then i got sick with allergies and cold symptoms so my sister took me to carenow where i got doxycycline hyclate 100mg 2x a day for 10 days to clear up my sinus infection.
We’re the 4 day tests reliable for chylamadia and gonorrhea? Did the Amoxicilin kill Syphlilis if I had it? Is the discharge really discharge or is my mind playing tricks on me? And if I go get tested at 18 days (6 days after my last Amoxicilin pill), is that reliable? Should I even bother getting tested?
Freaking out as I don't want to give my wife anything. Haven't had sex/masturbated since encounter. Not sure what to do.
