I took amoxicillin for a UTI in the beginning of my pregnancy. As long as your doctor is okay with it and prescribes it for you, you should be fine.
So, a while ago i posted thayt the doc put me on amoxicillin at 32weeks for the remainder of my pregnancy due to continuous UTI. Well, abour a week in of taking them i noticed that i was sore and swollen with some withish thick discharge. After a few days it went away. It has been coming and going every few days now. Right as i think it goes away, i start feeling extremely sore abd tinder and that noticeable white discharge pops up.
Idk why she said monistat....that's for a yeast infection. But I've had a uti for majority of my pregnancy :( every time they prescribe me with something it come back after I finish the doses. I'm 38 weeks too, my baby is super duper active so the uti isn't messing with him lol. But yes take ur medicine n take all of it so u can feel better!!!

A doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 625mg + Tamsulosin medicine for 10 days to me. I have a side effect after taking Tamsulosin (Retrograde ejaculation) or any other ejaculation problem.

Later that month I got a tonsil infection (something that happens frequently to me) and I went to a different doctor to get antibiotics for it. I mentioned the ongoing UTI to her and she prescribed me Amoxicillin with Potassium. She said it should kill two birds with one stone. A few days after being on antibiotics a weird rash appeared on my penis and after a day it turned into a sore.

With reference to self medicating, I was taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection. I had a low risk exposure (protected sex) with a massage therapist the week prior to getting the sinus infection. I experienced the irritation on my penis with some mild low back pain about 2 days prior to the infection (about 7 days after the massage girl).
The back pain went away a day after taking the Amoxicillin (which would have been 3 grams). The irritation still exist, but less so.

You do not have to have all of the symptoms for a kidney infection. The worse the infection the worse the symptoms ie vomiting, dehydration. There are also a lot of home remedies you could try. I take 1 tbs of apple cider vinegar and 1 tbs of honey in about 8 ounces of warm water. I drink one in the morning and one at night. It is nasty but it works well for me.
So they put me on amoxicillin, which cleared up the infection, however, I ended up getting a yeast infection because of amoxicillin killing too much bacteria. Overall it was a terrible experience and I should've tried curing it naturally.

After one week symptoms persisted again so another culture was done and diagnosed with staph infection. Treated with amoxicillin but after one week symptoms still persist. Another culture done and came back contaminated was treated with metronidazole. Now done with prescription and systems still persist. Going to call doctor to see if another analysis/culture. Any other suggestions on what I should do.

Doctor has prescribed me Augmentin 875-125 mg (Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid) twice a day for 1 week (I think the 875 is the Amoxicillin part and 125 maybe the clavulanic acid). I will take the meds and see if the infection goes away.

Should I take antibiotics or should I try to cure it with cranberry juice because I have no symptoms at all?!
