Amoxicillin
Amoxicillin belongs to a group of antibiotics called pencillins. Amoxicillin is a recommended treatment of Chlamydia infection during pregnancy by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. However, it is not the best antibiotic for eradication of Chlamydia in other categories of people.
Augmentin is amoxicillin clavulanate, so its similar.

Absence of symptoms at 2 weeks would be a good sign, but this has been screwed up by the amoxicillin -- which might suppress sympotms of gonorrhea or chlamydia without curing it. However, chlamydia is virtuallly never transmitted by oral sex, so it's not really a consideration anyway.
Herpes is very unlikely after such an encounter -- as a guess, well under 1 chance in several thousand.
I am scared out of my mind as one would imagine, I'm wondering if it could be herpes that I contracted along with the chlamydia? Or perhaps the dosage hasn't killed the chlamydia completely... I am allergic to penicillin and amoxicillin and have a great immune system, I usually one get sick a few times a year... Could my body have rejected the antibiotics?
Does Azithromycin cure both Gonorrhea and Chlamydia?
I just finished taking a treatment of azithromycin (took 3 g in a span of 5-6 days[missed a day] so it was about 500 mg day)(I'm Male). I was first treated for just gonorrhea by itself with amoxicillin and probenecid, but the symptoms continued so i received the Azithromycin treatment next.
Finished my last dosage on thursday Oct.
Second, I wasn't confident that the drug was pure, since I figured Mexican drug regulation might be lax. For chlamydia, I took 1g of amoxicillin 4 times a day for 3.5 days, when I ran out.
I realized that self-treatment was dumb, so I went to the STD clinic for testing. This was about 2.5 days after my last dose of amoxicillin. I got all the tests. Everything came back negative.
Now I'm worried that my self-treatment attempt skewed the test results.
so since then everytime my spouse complains about something around her vaginal I thing could I have given her gonorrhea or chlamydia. I have been checked for HIV (neg).
Also since then (over the last 5.5 years) both of us have been on antibiotics like levaquin, amoxicillin, and zothomax.

If I had discharge from my penis due to an std would that be obvious? (the discharge)
Can chlamydia or gonorrhea stay in your body for 5.
I had this feeling 2 months ago (the soar and swollen limp nole on the left side in the groin area) but I took amoxicillin and it got better but no pain in urine. On Oct 28, I seem a doctor and she put me on Doxcycline 100mg twice a day. As the days progress over the weekend the level of pain discomfort stay the same (bearable) .
It sounds more like chlamydia or NGU but the reason we do the tests is that the symptoms can overlap.
The problem with self-medication is that sometimes (as in your case) people take medications that may obscure a diagnosis but not cure the problem. this in turn can lead to smoldering infections. Your amoxicillin might have had activity against gonorrhea and slight activity against chlamydia (which actually is not a problem since oral chlamydial infections almost never occur or rare transmitted).
Also what are the recommended medication treatments and dosages for NGU and gonorrhea? I have seen that 1000mg of Azithromyicin is commonly prescribed. Are the treatments and dosages different for males and females. Your expertise and advise is greatly appreciated!
I also had a pack of Azithromycin, for which I started that very night. When that was finished I began a 10 day dosage of 3 pills per day of amoxicillin 500mg. During the past few days, I have also had a pretty bad respiratory infection. My questions:
IF I contracted something, would the antibiotics taken have eliminated any treatable STDs? Could they return on their own?
I went to my FP on day 79 and he looked at my throat and ordered Amoxicillin. He also ordered for a HIV screening, Syphilis test and a CBC. All came back negative with normal CBC (WBC count 8.7).
Later, the Pharyngitis got worse and I had to take a dose of Augmentin after my Amox dose. I also developed Allergic Rhinitis and also started having mild eye infection (1st right eye and the then left).
Apart from the antibiotics taken as mentioned in earlier post, I had Vibramycin at 94 days after the exposure, given for some pimples, dosage 5 days. And, finally at 143 days after the exposure, again I was given Vibramycin for 5 days for sore throat.
As mentioned in previous post, I have taken VDRL Test at 85 days after exposure (before Vibramycins), result non-reactive, so the Vibramycins couldn't have affected the test.

Very slight pain/irritation in left testicle area. Doctor prescribes different antibiotics (Amoxicillin/Clavadanic acid). Urine test negative for bacteria, positive for blood (though no blood visible to naked eye). Urine and culture tests for gonnorhea and chlamydia are negative.
After 1 week the testicular pain is much more pronounced (a bit like somebody has given me a nasty kick in the nuts), gets worse during the day after initially being undetectable early in the morning.

Received unprotected oral sex & protected vagina sex on the 30th Apr and also unprotected anallingus only, on the 22nd May. All sexual contacts are with CSWs.
The Rash/bump appeared on my glans with no pain/itchy/ in late may.
Went to local STD clinic to on 2nd Jun but rashes/bump on my glans have subsided significantly when at the clinc and DR said it likely to be balanitis.
