The ilight>robitussinilight> with codeine only helps a little ilight>andilight> i havent taken the antibiotic yet beacause i have gotten severly sick from them before. i was put on ilight>Amoxicillinilight> an antibiotic that is totally safe. i also found out that you can take ilight>Robitussinilight> and/or Benadryl. The robitussin did little for me. The Benadryl i would only take when i need sleep because it really zonks me out. But after taking it yesterday and getting some sleep, i do feel better! Good luck and if it feels like an infection call about those antibiotics!
i have a sinus infection ilight>andilight> my doc prescribed ilight>amoxicillinilight> ilight>andilight> said i could take one of four things: claritin, mucinex, sudafed (only the plain kind -- little red pill), and zyrtek. i was happy when she said mucinex because that is what i usually take when i wasn't preggo and it worked really well for me.
i am 30 weeks pg and Friday i went to my fam. doctor for a cold ilight>andilight> he said i needed to be on ilight>amoxicillinilight> for Bronchitis ilight>andilight> a sinus infection. i have been taking Robitussin dm for the constant coughingwhich my Ob said was fine. Sorry if the question sounds stupid but i cant help but wonder.
i will go back ilight>andilight> have them look at my ear ilight>andilight> examine my neck. She looked in my ear ilight>andilight> didn't see anything and quickly prescribed amoxicillin. i think she might have missed something or just gave me a low dosage prescription.
And Tylenol. i finally called Ob ilight>andilight> they said stay away from mucinex ilight>andilight> take plain ilight>robitussinilight> (which didn't make much sense to me..its the same active ingredientc(guaf).. But i followed orders) and sudafed(also plain - ewithout psuedo). Another week went by, only got worse. Finally got a z pack and cough syrup prescribed. Another week and i was better. 3 weeks sick altogether. Used humidifier at night and Vicks too. Good luck. its miserable!
i went to the dr (the cough is down in my chest too). He prescribed ilight>amoxicillinilight> ilight>andilight> told me i could take Robitussin. it's been over 24 hours and i see no change. i had slight runny nose a cough headache ilight>andilight> ear clogging. i took ilight>Robitussinilight> ilight>andilight> it cleared up besides the ear clog and swollen lymph node. i got amoxicillin and it went away. Now after i stopped the prescription i sometimes feel a slight tightness on the same side of my neck. i'm worried it could be HiV. i'm scared to get tested. i didn't mention it wen i went to the hospital BC it wasn't on my mind. Am i freaking out for nothing or should i just get the test.

Still have nasal congestion.
i had CT and X-rays and all have come back normal...

it causes me to have spasm coughing and if i cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in ilight>andilight> out completely for 10 to 15 seconds ilight>andilight> i thought i had bought it. The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after.
Anyway, he told me i have a sinus infection ilight>andilight> gave me antibiotics. Now i have always had allergies ilight>andilight> plenty of sinus infections ilight>andilight> i knew this was no sinus infection. So i take the antibiotics and nothing changes. So i go back to the same doctors office to see a different doctor. This time because again i feel like something is stuck in my throat and i have a small dull paint to the left of my sternum. The blood in the saliva has stopped at this point.
i just finished the antibiotics ilight>andilight> i still feel the same as i did when i first went to him in July. He had me on ilight>amoxicillinilight> plus Astelin. i have tried Nasacort, Zyrtec, Claritin, Alavert, etc.... no relief. i am a computer programmer and i can't function like this anymore. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.
i got my iUD out on Aug 5th ilight>andilight> am ttc. i have had lots of spotting ilight>andilight> maybe a period but nothing regular. i called my doc and they said that it takes 3 months before the hormones are out of your system. The mirena website makes it sound as though you can get pregnant anytime after removal. Any advice/stories would be appreciated. Thanks.
